Referendum Signatures Confirmed at 3706, nearly 90% of Signatures Qualified

Wow amazing, they tired for months and months and months to get enough recall signatures and failed terribly. The referendum folk take a month and nail a 90% signature approval rate and over 3,700 qualified signatures to stop the BOS in their tracks. Stunning...Here is the link to the article.

Now here is where the sheriff really stands:

Earlier this week, Sheriff Frank Rivero met with a group, that included CABICC and PRC members and concerned citizens. It was established that he would support working together to build an ordinance that will work for everyone. He stated he did not like certain aspects of the ordinance that was created by Rick Coel, with no input from him or his office, and that he would welcome the opportunity to work on an ordinance that would satisfy all parties. He issued the following statement to Lake County Magazine:

"From the onset I said that the ordinance passed by the Board of Supervisor was not perfect and I would have liked more than two weeks notice to respond before it went to the Planning Commission. The fact remains that certain factions have hijacked the medical marijuana laws and are creating an unsafe environment in our communities. I support a patient's right to use medical marijuana under the Compassionate Care Act 100% as the will of the People Of The State of California. However, I will not tolerate the hijacking of this right by cartels, organized crime and profiteers. I will attend the Board of Supervisors meeting to assess options for moving forward in a way that meets the spirit of Proposition 215, and allows medical marijuana users safe and reasonable access while protecting our children and the property rights of Lake County citizens.”

What most of the citizens may not understand is that, the rotten BOS and Rick Coel did not give the sheriff a chance to voice his concerns over their ordinance. They did not give it to the sheriff until less then 24 hours before they were set to vote on it. All the said to the sheriff is here it is we want you to support it!!!! That was it, as always hidden behind the rhetoric is the truth and in that truth is the fact the BOS and Coel tried to shove this down the sheriffs throat and the citizens as well.

While Brian and Rob are trying to attack the CABICC and investigate them on your dime, the sheriff is sitting down with them and as you can see more then willing to work with them and the citizens. Now you know the truth.

Supervisor Brown and his wife/ Lake County Bail Bonds, American Contractors Idemnity etc. are being sued by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sanders for Fraud, Animal Cruelty and Assault with injuries. The attorney of record is Susan Feeney of Lakeport, lawsuit was filed this week.

The new vineyard is owned by the Haldan family. It is being put in by Craig Shannon, brother of Clay. Craig is the decent brother, Clay, well we'll save that for another day. I'll tell you one thing though, Clay is under investigation by the DEA for growing MJ on his Vigilance property. That is why it is closed down. Clay is trying to say that his workers planted the pot. That dude started the most widely respected, best read news outlet in the county with his wife, took the lead for readership from a huge corporation - BIG TIME - got national attention and helped form a national indy news publishers group.
The two of them, EL and JJ, got a proclamation from the BOS years ago for outstanding community service.
They broke the Dinius story, the Garzoli story and many more. They probably cost Mitchell his job.
He sued the current Sheriff and won then the county was ordered by an out of county judge to pay all his legal bills to the tune of over $100k. No action? lol
Seems when he says he's gonna do something he does it.
He says he's starting a TV station? Count on it.

People come to this site to see if something is being done about the corruption in Lake County. In some ways this site has done a good job exposing the GOB cover-ups and more. Just a few examples: Dinius being charged for a crime that was done by Russell Perdock, where he killed a woman and not held accountable and later being brought back into Lake County government as a fire commissioner. Grothe DUI causing damage and leaving the scene, which was exposed by this site. Other wise there would have been another cover-up. In essence it was still covered up by Grothe not being booked into jail as a normal sequence if arrested. He should also be held to a higher standard. The DA knowing well that Navarro molested an under age girl and used RIMS to conspire to perpetrate his crime. DA Anderson knowing all this, still goes to Navarro's trial and vouches that he knows Navarro as an honest man. Again Anderson knew Navarro was not an honest man, thus showing Anderson's lack of character and honesty. Many more events have and continue to happen in Lake County. Indictments and justice are long over due.

The sheriff appears to be about the only local official that is not crooked. Just look at the independent investigation. The investigators have very impressive credentials. Just reinforces the facts of corruption in Lake County government. Many citizens do not condone the MJ issues, but even more do not condone local government corruption. Most would like to see Federal intervention to clean out the bad apples and bring them to justice if necessary.

Frank gets a no confidence vote from the BOS and the very first hand he shakes is that of a federally convicted drug felon who plead guilty to drug trafficking - Tom Carter of Upperlake. Tom had a deal with the feds to provide 'substantial cooperation' with federal investigations and then his competitors started going to prison. Wow, totally shocking. Tom was also the primary financial supporter of Rivero during his campaign but didn't report any of it.

Well you are definitely that stupid.
You clearly hadn't noticed that after the banks ripped us all off bankruptcy skyrocketed, a record number of people lost their homes and the economy is still in the shitter.
Mitchell lost his job, Martin quit to get the hell away from Frank and suffered the personal financial consequence of standing by his convictions and I haven't a clue about Anderson or the millions of others who have suffered dramatic economic misfortune after the great recession.
People like Tom Carter, Jeri Spittler and the Sanders are missing from your list though. How do you explain that?
 

Carter did not file BK, in fact he has a thriving construction business and still lives in that great house he has always lived in. The office in downtown was simply losing money and he let it go as any smart person would do. The scam that Mitchell tried to pull with the DEA which cost the taxpayers 5 million dollars and all they got was a token felony, in a plea, which is what the DEA is all about was a total waste of time. No forfeiture, no fine, no assets taken nothing. And despite what the old GOB's like Martin and Mitchell and Brown wanted none of it happened. Now let's review Rob Brown:

1. 50,000 dollar federal tax lien and illegally keeping profits from a house sale.
2. Multiple foreclosures, including a 500,000 dollar Apt unit in Texas
3. At least 4 properties in Lake County alone foreclosed on.
4. Going upside down after his 7500 plant grow was discovered and covered up by Mitchell, and Martin and the boys. Remember it was Martin who removed Browns address from the reports, and only left on the aerial location to cover Brown's ass.
5. Current lawsuits are pending against Brown as we speak

Well we could go on and on and on. But it seems you GOB's just can't grasp reality. But we will keep pounding you in hopes that some day you grow up and learn.
 

If Tom's doing so well why would he let a valuable historic property in the center of the first place the marijuana economy would benefit go? That makes no sense business or otherwise. He couldn't make his payments because pot economics just isn't all that and a bag of chips.

The second attempt was to stop the train for change from being in the parade, and they thought they stopped it. But they did not because the train still ran, and Tom's son made it happen in his absence, and Rivero won, and Mitchell and Brian Martin along with the other former deputies were left with nothing but a loss and a big one. Oh we remember GOB's yes we remember. And the county will never be the same, never be under your control like you had it. No more Rob Brown using RIM's, no more attacking the citizens, no more drug drops in peoples cars to try and frame people, no more attacks on the innocent of our county. In some cases the NSA has masqueraded as a fake Facebook server, using the social media site as a launching pad to infect a target’s computer and exfiltrate files from a hard drive. In others, it has sent out spam emails laced with the malware, which can be tailored to covertly record audio from a computer’s microphone and take snapshots with its webcam. The hacking systems have also enabled the NSA to launch cyberattacks by corrupting and disrupting file downloads or denying access to websites.

I agree with 6:25 -Ross needs to get out there and explain what he would do as DA. What's his position on the marinuana ordinance? What about diversion - will he keep diversion for first time offenders on petty crimes? Will he prosecute legitimate co op growers/trimmers? What about plea bargaining - how would he change what Anderson's doing? It worries me a little that he hasn't sent out a press release or something - if he can't explain, in a page, why anyone should vote for him, then he is not ready to run.

This is information just in concerning the "Mandygate" editorial situation.....

As all of you may know members of Lovelace took great issue with the supposed "Editorial" Mandy posted on the Bee, doing the unthinkable of attacking an advertiser while at the same time taking their money because it was an ad supporting the sheriff. We sent and advised everyone to send messages to the higher ups and direct and indirect bosses of Mandy and her local boss Kevin. We posted those messages on the Blog yesterday.

Yesterday we received responses from Kevin, Mandy's direct boss indicating his concern and that he would follow up by contacting others in the organization and Mandy.

Today we received a response from Kevin and Mandy's boss who is out of the Chico area and who handles this whole region. He was contacted by the New York offices of Media Group whom we also sent messages to. Below is the message from the Northern California Boss of both Mandy and Kevin, who was contacted with their concerns by the New York heads of Media group. As a further update Mandy's editorial has been taken down from the paper and been replaced by a scathing hammering of Mandy by another citizen who voiced their concern. Their letter now in place of Mandy''s editorial is posted below as well.

I find your non-coverage and biased coverage too much to ignore, again. Last week I read with amazement your four column inches of non-coverage of our duly elected sheriff, Frank Rivero. I have never read anywhere, and I am a voracious news reader, a lower, less professional "news article" than the one presented in your paper. And yesterday's unsigned editorial, was quite a capper: an editorial about our legally elected sheriff and Record Bee advertiser (how much have you made from his having to purchase full page ads?) calling him "The man in the box." Anybody else besides Ms. Feder can call Frank Rivero anytime they feel a need. I have called him myself.

Your non-coverage of the candidacy of Andre Ross for District Attorney is also puzzling. This person has not even been in office, and apparently has somehow offended the powers that be at the Bee. Can't you just cover the news, rather than interpret it, or take it personally. I'm pretty sure you would sell more papers.

Lately the Record-Bee (which I very much enjoy) has taken to pressing the local law enforcement authorities with requests for information that then become reported as "non responsive." In the Wednesday edition, your staff reporter, J.W. Burch was clearly irritated that LCSO Public Affairs Officer Brooks would not comment on a burglary under investigation.
While I am a proponent of open disclosure, I think your journalism style has become a bit "off handed" when it comes to stories in progress.
Law enforcement is not your only tool to determine front page news. Please take a moment to reflect on your greater responsibility. Your role in Lake County is to "report" the news, not "make" the news. Please show a little respect for our law enforcement personnel while you try to gather details. Law enforcement has more to do than answer a myriad of unanswerable questions when it comes to a criminal investigation.
You folks are generally on target with your local coverage, but lately have become a bit bitter. You are better than that. Please take a moment to reflect on your greater goal and settle down a bit.

Has anyone thought about what might happen if a sitting Superior Court judge was to hear a case involving one of his family if that family member was to be elected Sheriff? To me the judge would have to recuse himself to avoid a conflict of interest and we already have an overloaded court system as is.

It also seems like a lot of power for one family to hold in a small county, but that is just a thought.

You know what is really the funniest thing about this is. The amount of attention LCN gave to Lovelace and their group in the last election. They did not realize how much they boosted their readership on the Blog. Seems JJ does not understand how the public works. Don Anderson/Ron Green Interview 5th and final post

If this final post goes over the #of characters allowed I am going to break it into two posts w/....cont.

Anderson spoke about the arrests and his release of the Middletown drug dealers. He said he was in the middle of interviewing someone on a homicide case and he received a phone call from first, one of his Deputy D.A.'s telling him about the arrest, moments later he changed it to an investigator. In telling this story, I was amazed at the excitement he was conveying in the interview. He said he was told there were some innocent people in jail and he had to do something? Wow, I never realized that there was some type of hot line where a suspect could call the D.A. directly and say I am innocent. Use your power Mr. Anderson, release me. That is what happened.

Sheriff Rivero investigated a complaint of illegal drug sales in Middletown. Sheriff Rivero made an arrest of four males on drug related charges. The suspects sold marijuana to a 15 yr. old. D.A. Anderson contacted the jail and had the subjects immediately released. When he made this release he had not spoken with the arresting officer, did not have any paperwork. The reports were not even finished. He had no information from law enforcement and at best would have the limited information on a booking sheet. Even the information on the booking sheet had not left the jail.

Anderson used what is called "In The Furtherance of Justice Provision of the penal code to effect the release of the four. Actually Anderson misused that provision to effect their release. Anderson did not tell Ron Green the real reason for the immediate release of the four. One of the four is Bo Sheffler, in Bo's own words that day and since he has called Anderson his mother's boyfriend. Anderson may have romantically moved on since then, however, it does not change the facts that this is one of the more flagrant and abusive displays of his total contempt for the law. This case is a clear demonstration of his abuse of power. Anderson has compromised the most basic principals of law and justice. He has violated the public trust by using his elected office to benefit himself, his family and his friends. ........cont.

Does anyone remember 2010 election and Brown riding his big white truck up to Rivero signs and stealing them? I do. His driver pulls up to the sign and Brown stands on the sideboard step and picks up the sign and throws it into the back of his truck. I saw his attempt, he saw me and they left without taking my sign.
2014 election and Clearlake had a lot of Rivero signs but they're being stolen by the opponents. Guess who?

As a resident of this county I have to be concerned that if one of Anderson's friends, family or political allies should victimize me, where do I go to seek justice. No one should be able to commit a crime and get a pass based on the personal relationship they have with an elected official. Especially the Chief Law Enforcement Officer elected to a position of trust, who took an oath to uphold the constitution and enforce the laws of this State.

Anderson has shown a clear pattern of enforcing or failing to enforce laws based on who the suspects happen to be. He began immediately with the Justin Lazard, Library Park Sex Offender, and has been going full speed ahead with the Brady Nonsense. Anderson has become blinded by power. As citizens we have to choose what type of community we want for ourselves, our families. We can become blinded by single issues, like marijuana, or we can take our power back. They govern with the consent of the governed. If we are honest brokers, we can work out our differences. This election is about quality of life issues. Please keep your eye on the ball. Let me throw out something to you.

Bo Sheffer was arrested because he broke the law. It was said he sold marijuana joints to students. So he was in the school zone was he not? It was for the judge or jury to decide- if your going to give Bo Sheffer a freebee then all Lake County citizens involved with selling the same amount of marijuana need to be given the same break.

Why didn't the judge avoid this conflict? I'm I wrong? The judges wife's employer is Holdenried,+ Bo's Grandfather's/mother was a Holdenried. Bo is suing the Sheriff + judge Herrick gets involved HA case that also involves our sheriff. Connect the dots ....and it takes you back to Bo.

4:04 - Who is Marsha Chalk? I'll tell you what little I know. Marsha Chalk is Bob Chalk's wife. She worked for child support when it was managed by Joyce Martin/Campbell (Brian Martin's mother.) After Joyce Martin/Campbell left child support to work for the District Attorney's office, Marsha Chalk worked for child support under the direction of Gail Woodworth, the wife of Craig Woodworth, the chief investigator for the DAs office. Someone might want to look into the reason for Marsha Chalk's departure from county employment.
