Lake County Government Watch

These are very exciting times for Lake County. The question on the table is has the county progressed enough in intelligence and understanding. The upcoming vote will tell us if we have come out of the stone-age of Mitchell and moved into the real world of progress and change, of openness and transparency, of honesty and critical thinking. The state and in many cases the world will be watching the events in November, will we become the continued laughing stock of those watching or with the election of Rivero will we show them we have grown beyond the old world of the Mitchell regime. Everyone let's show the world we have changed, we can control our own destiny, and that the citizens have seen enough of Mitchell and his draconian mentality. Mitchell is a sad and desperate man right now. Rivero's campaign is going very strong, and others are saying the Mitchell camp is in shambles. There is infighting and worry across the board, they are trying to keep it under-wraps, Rob Brown has essentially left the campaign and others are starting to flee. We need to keep the pressure up and work hard over the next few weeks. It is time for the citizens to speak at the polls and tell those in power...No More!!!
 

7:09 Only a corruption supporter would call cleaning up corruption dirty work. As a youth I watched overzealous police arrest a teenager for throwing eggs on Halloween. When I laughed out load, I was arrested for failure to disperse. Because we were poor and gas was cheap we cruised around in our cars a lot. We switched cars and rode around with friends We were constantly pulled over and harassed by the police. Nothing serious, just constant harassment. What I endured with the cops and the courts left a bad taste in my mouth for year. I'm white, so I can only imagine what it must have been like for a minority.
Frank Rivero got a ticket for loitering and is still is being harassed by the police. He has the courage to stand up and fight and I am joining him in that fight. The corruption status quo does not like it. They continue to spread lies and rumors about him. Don't believe them. Tell your friends. Only a grassroots movement can stand up to a wealthy corrupt political machine. Rivero doesn't have any $10,000 donors, he needs lots of $20 donors. Most of all he needs your support and your vote.
We don't get a chance to make a change for the better very often. Let us not waste this opportunity. Vote Rivero in and corruption out.
 

854 Tsk, tsk. Rivero is a successful businessman, and that bothers you? he made his money honestly, the American way. Not like Mitchell, who has cheated the county by misappropriating funds over the years. It will come out, if he doesn't get away with erasing and shredding evidence. People who want Rivero to win are gladly donating to his campaign, anything to defeat Mitchell.
 

another morning message, as all of you know the Blog has been huge over the past few weeks and of course months and in fact for over a year now. We are now believe it or not are approaching 75,000 comments in the first year. We have been an important part of getting the word out and setting up a forum for the citizens to communicate about the hate and racism of Mitchell, as well as the terrible and illegal he had his regime have committed, This site will again begin to accelerate at a rapid pace during the course of the next 3 weeks and leading up to the actual election. After the election we will have to do a name change as well will then shift our focus to the BOS, Clearlake, and other areas and people in the county. For now however we want to keep the focus squarely on Mitchell and the next 3 weeks of communications will be critical. We want to thank all the citizen for their great support and we look forward to the upcoming months of bringing change to the county, with your continued help and support we will succeed with as much participation as we have had in the past year.

Mary Becker's glass house

If Becker had chosen any subject other than somebody else's credibility, I would just continue to sigh and shake my head, as I usually do when I read her commentary. Her hypocritical attack on Jack Baxter and her latest insinuations simply cannot be allowed to go unchallenged.

Since she has brought up the issue of credibility, let's take a look at hers:

In a commentary in the Record-Bee on May 29, "Thank one soldier," Becker describes anti-war demonstrators in San Francisco in 2003 dragging a man from his car, beating him unconscious, and taking his watch and wallet. She claims he was assisted by men from her office until an ambulance arrived. This purportedly happened in front of her office on Market Street.

However, no such incident occurred, at least not in San Francisco in March 2003.

Something like this did happen and is, no doubt, still etched in many of our minds, since it was videotaped and replayed on the news repeatedly for a year.

The victim was Reginald Denny, who was pulled from his truck and beaten during the 1992 LA riots. I'm not sure how Becker got the Denny incident in 1992 confused with what actually happened in San Francisco in 2003.

Perhaps she was just testing the water to see what she could get away with, because a week later she wrote about her experience with the Oakland Citizen Police Review Board.
 

Part 2

In "Policing the police," printed in the Record-Bee on June 5, Becker carefully creates the impression that she was invited, received training and served on the Citizen Police Review Board in Oakland.

Patrick Caceres, the Acting Manager of the Oakland review board, checked CPRB records back to 2001 and told me that she was not on the CPRB during that period of time.

An invitation to serve on the Board has to originate either from the Oakland Mayor or the Mayor may select someone based on a City Council member's recommendation.

Caceres said there was no evidence of either of those things having occurred. Becker also seems unaware of the 2006 Copley Press decision by the California Supreme Court. If she had truly had anything to do with a police review board anywhere in this state, she would have been aware of the legal precedent set by this important landmark case.

If you read that column when it appeared in June, you most likely got the impression that she served on the CPRB. If you re-read it, looking for the exact words in which she says she served, you realize that she actually never says that. She just implies that she served, deceiving the reader while avoiding an outright falsehood.

A credible person does not engage in intentional manipulation with the purpose of misleading their readers. Becker can tout her favorite cocktail, rave about small towns, rant about city life, or brag about her career, given how unlikely it is that anyone will bother to verify her claims; that's all fairly harmless.

However, given her history of just making stuff up, she should refrain from spreading innuendo regarding the credibility of others.

I will definitely be going to tonights final debate. This is the last chance for the hopefulls to either be civil or to publically fling their last nasty words at each other. What will it be??? I suspect that the shit will hit the fan, and we will be witnessing the nastiest manners from the Mitchell supporters to date. After tonight they will fade away, and I for one will be happy to not hear their radiculous remarks and clapping every time that Mitchell says something at the debates. I know that this Blog will be a real busy place, and the bloggers who actually believe that Mitchell has a chance at winning will be overloading the Blog with more of their child like BS and fantasies. This will actually be their last chance to show the public their loyalty to the Mitchell cause. And to the Rivero followers, just sit there and be nice and quiet, and let the GOB's put on their last uninspiring show of loyalty. It's rough being on the losing side, but they will eventually adjust as there are no other options left, and I doubt that any of them will give up their jobs just because their leader will be going bye bye. I do believe that many of the individuals who are ACTING as though they are for Mitchell, will in actuality be voting for Rivero, and will be very happy when this election is over and that they can get back to doing their jobs and not having to prove their false loyalty to each other. For now, I have my own personal things to deal with, so until tonight, bye bye. Am I AL B, or just another anonomous individual waiting for the BS to end once and for all.
 

How is LCN and the Bee going to do their front page headlines when Rivero wins, and win he does win, how can we protest against them and their bias papers, how to get them out of the county.
 

This county can do without both those rotten rags, and when this election is over and we can go after them, we should do it big time, there are a lot of questions they are going to have to answer for, and the citizens should call them out. Won't need those bias rags after this is all done, it will be time for not new blood in the government but new media in the county!!
 

I find it had to be civil with those that would lie and cover the lies up, use the government as their litter box. Then trey to convince me it is in my best interest that the status quo stay the same. No bureaucrat stands up for the rights of the peoples and you would wonder why Mitchell and Hopkins did what they did? I would be pleased to pull the rope on the guillotine if and when the time comes. Then I will tell them its a personnel matter. Those in this government think I'm to be civil while they stick it to me. These are bureaucrats that know what the problem is and do nothing about it.

This is the Lovelace group, we are getting ready to head to the debate in about an hour and wanted to pass on a few items of interest. As you can see the corruption supporters are on their last gasps of air, and you citizens have really put the hammer down on them the last few days. As all of you know the Blog site has amazing rises and falls in comment postings, we go at times when hot items are on the table at the rate of 400 posts in a day, on other days we slow way down, depending on the amount of information and activity that is happening, we are anticipating a huge spike in the last week or so before the election and of course a huge couple of days during the counting on election and in the days following. In all the Lovelace group simply wanted to put out a word to all the good citizens out there of thanks and our gratefulness at your support for our site and for the support you give to Frank Rivero. Last night was a great night, one of the best we have seen in countering and hammering the Mitchell supporters, it was great to see you show such intelligence and understanding compared to the whining of the corruption supporters.. great job and thanks to every one!!!!
 

Thank you to the Lovelace people, if I might say this has been an amazing experiment in social change agents and I think you guys have sent an idea that is going to become the norm in small and even large county elections, you have showed the way in an innovative and interesting method. Having been around for many years shall I say and involved in politics for many of those years, I can tell you this site has opened the door to some amazing possibilities and all of you are to be congratulated for you efforts and this great idea and way for people to come to together. Well well I hear that Darin Woodruff and ex wife Kelli Jo Brown-Knipping got into it in his driveway late afternoon friday.Cops were called because Darin got a few hits to the face.But I wonder who showed up to the call? Was it Martin, Mcpherson? I would like to know why this women wasnt arrested for beating on her ex?! Is it because Kelli is such good friends with Von and Crystal....That anyone to be friends with DA's or Witness protection is to be untouchable? There were marks left on his face,So weather he denied charges she should have still been busted! This shit has got to stop! You think you people can just pick and choose who is in the wrong and who should be swept under the rug? Just because your snobby kids "cheer" together its okay to get away with a felony? GOB, your days are a coming!!! Enjoy it while it lasts!!!
 

I am wondering what it is going to be like to see Mitchell on the stand in the Dinius trial. I mean will he try to use the word specificity to impress lawyer Masson?? LOL oh this is going to be a sight to see, him and Hoppy on the witness stand. You know how it will be Masson will be very cordial and call them Mr. and then when he is done they will be bleeding and not even know that he cut them to pieces. This is of course another reason why Mitchell cannot be reelected we cannot have a criminal as a sheriff, and if there is one thing Mitchell is that is a criminal!! Good luck Mitchy!!!
 

Someone on this blog was hoping the results of the FPPC complaint about Sheriff Mitchell in the Middletown parade would be made public before the election. Well, here is the significant part of that report word for word:

Use of county resources to campaign during the parade as alleged in the complaint, would fall under regulation 18420.1.

Based on our review and investigation, we determined that 1) Sheriff Mitchell actively campaigned during the Middletown parade; and 2) Sheriff Mitchell did not use public monies, in the form of county sheriff resources and personnel, in connection with this campaign activity. Specifically, our investigation found that, based upon video footage of the event, Sheriff Mitchell had five “entries” in the Middletown parade, none of which utilized official sheriff vehicles, equipment or on-duty personnel.

As such there is no basis for a violation under regulation 18420.1 of the act. Therefore, our file in this matter has been closed.

We have heard that all hell is breaking loose in the homes and activities of all the Mitchell GOB's looks like the pressure is getting to everyone huh. Actually post 444 you miss the whole point and why that was done and it worked perfect. We wanted to stop Mitchell from using the public resources, so when that was filed it was already known that it would not be found to be using public resources, and we also knew it would take until the parades were over for the finding to come out. But my dear ignorant one, it did because Mitchell did not know either, and it stopped him from using the equipment again..LOL so you see there is always method in the madness, when first you think you have a victory, you find you were burned badly...he he he It worked so well we have tried it again on the handouts of Mitchell's we know the answer to the inquiry already, but all we do is put a little hick-up in the gitty up, and since we know who the letters went to we also know your connection...My my my we are getting more out of this then we thought!!! Just came back from the debate in Hidden Valley. there were alot of support for both candidates there, the room was standing room only. Mithchell appeared worn and exhausted Frank appeared in every way the embodiment of what a sheriff should look like. He was calm and he just spoke from the heart. He didn't need to give the appearance of being truthful because he just was. Mithchell attempted several unsucessful slams against Frank. Frank stayed with his integrity intact and truth as his sheild . I'm proud to be a Frank Rivero supporter

This is the Lovelace group, we are back from the debate and wow what a night it was. Frank Rivero was on his game and it could not have gone any better. 3 standing ovations for Frank and he was on fire. When Mitchell brought up Tom Carter, it back fired so bad it was unbelievable. Frank fired back and nailed Mitchell to the wall so hard that everyone came to their feet in a standing ovation. This was a big mistake by Mitchell and it really hurt.

Then Rivero hammered Kip Ringen and talked about the Grand Jury and the threats Mitchell has made against anyone who tried to run against him, and again the crowd was on their feet. The corruption supporters did not know what hit them.

We have never seen Frank this good, you have to imagine that Mitchell is hurting big time, and the crowd stayed and filled the place when the debate was done,and now here is the big news.

Directly after the debate closed Bramlett confronted Mitchell and he had all his kids with him he hammered Mitchell and Frank was standing right next to them, Bramlett told Mitchell "these are my kids these are real people with feelings, and you destroyed my family and you hurt these kids. Mitchell was beat red and he was stunned!!! It was an amazing night. A big win for Rivero, and a huge night!!!!
 

Bramlett is a pathetic loser. How awful of him to do this to his children, CPS should check this dude out.
 

i was at the debate, it was a great night I was standing by Mitchell when he was confronted by Bramlett, that took some guts, and Mitchell did not say a word, Bramlett read him the riot act. It was classic. When the question was asked how many citizens complaints have you had against you. Mitchell said one, and it was deemed not valid. Franks Response was classic, he said one only one you must not be on the streets at all every good cop has some citizens complaints!! The crowd laughed and again Mitchell was shown to be a total ass. Frank was awesome tonight!!!

If that was a showing of Frank being on his game, then god help us if he gets elected. You are saying he was at his best last night. I for one was not impressed. He still comes across as angry and very defensive. He also can not admit to making any mistakes. He apparently thinks he does not make mistakes. He also has no knowledge of the budget process within the governmental process. I suggest he go to college and take some classes concerning the government and politics so he can get a handle on how the process works. And no, he was not on fire. We had forgot to mention one more amazing incident that happened last night. Rivero asked the audience to ask themselves why no one has run against Mitchell. He said the reason is sitting right here in the audience and he went to the Grand Jury to report on Mitchell attacking him and telling him he would destroy him if he ran against him, and this went to the Grand Jury that is why no one has run against him, because of his threats of destruction." You could see the strange irony of Ringen sitting there with his Mitchell shirt on while he was the one who attacked Mitchell to the Grand Jury!!!

I feel sorrow for the deputies because they truly believe that they are acting out of free will. It seems that to them Mitchell is the only one who can lead them, but lead them to what purpose. He says now that he is a changed man. So he admits that he was wrong states that he and only he is taking responibilty for making errors and then would have us believe that he would not return to his old tricks. So I say to you Mitchell supporters look up any site on domestic violence and look at the listed behaviors of an abuser. The deputies just like the battered wives can't or won't see the abuser as the perpertrator until someone gives them the courage and the knowledge to find a sense of their own strength.Mitchell is in the honeymoon phase now, He will beat you the moment you question his authority and then do as he will to blame you for his mistake . Don't trust my statement without checking the facts with someone like Jim Beland.
 

That is a great comment 1051 in talking to a few of the good deputies in the organization that predominate thought that comes though is the unfortunate circumstance that these people point out and that is there are a lot of young deputies that have come into the force and they have simply due to their innocence followed their leader right down into the basement. That is sad that Mitchell has such a negative effect on the deputies and their careers. This is the case however and the citizens must realize how counter-productive this is to those deputies and the department as a whole. Sad as well is the fact their are so many good deputies in the department who are just laying low and waiting for Mitchell to be removed, they will not speak up now and no one can blame them for that. Part of the work being done is to help those good deputies.

This investigation(FPPC) is a right given to the citizens when they believe there are inappropriate actions taking place by government officials, and in this case during a campaign. As all citizens know you generally will not get satisfaction from a government investigation in to this level of untoward activity. Frank Rivero was not involved in this request in any way shape or form. This is an action taken by the citizens and rightly so. We should always exercise these rights to request investigations even with the understanding that it is a rare occasion that they come to full fruition. However letting the Rodney Mitchell's of the world know they are being watched and that the citizens are on guard is critically important to maintaining our rights and freedoms, while ensuring transparency rules the day.

What is more curious is the pip[line to the Record Bee that Mitchell has, since the letter from the FPPC was sent only to sheriff Mitchell and it gets directly into the Bee, we again see the bias in our local media. another curious note is that Mitchell knew he was under investigation, but he choose not to revel that so quickly to the Bee, only when he hears the predicted results. Ask a question if they had ruled he should not use the equipment which we all know he should not have. Would it have gotten into the Bee when a citizen gave it to them to post as an article? Of course the answer to the question is no he would not.

In an unusual twist to this, the report to Mitchell of this investigation caused him to pull back on the use of all the equipment for the remainder of the parades that took place, he had to as he did not know what the ruling of the FPPC would be, that in and of itself served a great purpose to his activity. We all know he was using the equipment on the public dime to promote his campaign, the fact that the FPPC did not rule that way was only that they did not see signs attached to the equipment. The citizens know the reality, and all citizens must and should continue to exercise these rights to not do so because we have no confidence in the system is the wrong approach and only binds us further to the corruption of the current Mitchell regime.

This is a good article to discuss the debate last night which was a complete and total victory for Rivero. He was really on his game, and 3 standing ovations rocked that little room last night. One of the outstanding moments was when Frank asked the audience if they have ever wondered why Mitchell has always been the only name on the ticket. Rivero nailed it, he said, the reason is sitting right there in the audience referring to Kip Ringen, wearing a Mitchell shirt, and he explained that Ringen turned Mitchell into the Grand Jury for threating him that "He would destroy him if he ran for sheriff against him". The irony of it was classic and perfectly said by Frank. Another great moment was after the debate, when Bramlett approached Mitchell and had his kids who are teenagers and love their father dearly, and he told Mitchell these are my kids and you have hurt them and you destroyed my family, Mitchell turned a dark shade of red upon receiving that tongue lashing and many were standing around hearing it, it took a lot of guts for Bramlett to do that and many people patted him on the back and thanked him. The biggest ovation came when Mitchell tried to throw Carter into the fray, and again made the libelous statement which it appears he is going to get nailed for about tax evasion which is not even a part of the failing case against Carter. But Rivero hit a homerun on this one. He talked about rights and justice and innocent until proven guilty not guilty until proven innocent, he tagged Mitchell big time. Everyone rose to their feet, Carter was hugged and the crowd just exploded in the epic and beautiful answer that Frank gave. A great night for Rivero, you could even notice some of the deputies moving toward Rivero as the sincerity of Rivero's answers could not be denied.
 

After all that has gone on with this county I think its not over,who ever is the sheriff the wounds are beep. the scars that I have been left with as others citizens will not fade quickly.

I was at the debate, which was similar to the previous debates. The usual accusations and denials were tossed back and forth, but nothing truly new was debated. It's a good thing that there are no more debates scheduled, as it would only be more of the same stuff, and by now most of us have heard enough from both hopefuls. As expected, there were a few outbursts from both sides, but the debate was peaceful and both sides were respectful of one another. There was a Mitchell supporter that kept mumbling to those around him and was somewhat of a pain in the ass. He was finally told to knock it off and to be quiet. To him, everything Mitchell said was a great thing, and anything that Rivero said he considered either a lie or against what he believed. There are always a few zealots who make fools of themselves, but he stood out and overdid himself. It is always nice to meet up with friends and aquaintenances from the past as well as the present. Not all of us will be voting for the same hopeful, but that did not seem to matter. When this is all over the disappointments that the loses have will eventually fade away, and those who were on the winning side will forget about what happened as well, and everyone will get back to their everyday mode of living. If Rivero ends up the winner, he and Mitchell will have to work together so that there is a smooth transition when he officially takes over. If Mitchell wins, things will just go on as though nothing ever happened, or will it??? Will payback rear it's nasty head, I hope not, but hurt feelings can run very deep and it's hard letting go of something if it's become a serious personal matter. As I have stated several times in the past, both Rivero and Mitchell are friends of mine, and I always speak and shake hands with both of them at the debates. Whoever comes out the winner from this nasty battle, I will have no problems working with/for either of them. I see this from a different light, in the same manner that I see Joe Ford, I see the aspect of Kip Ringen. Both made their choices based on far to much of a personal reason. Joe Ford is useless no matter what side he is on and his tactics and techniques garner more lost votes then gained votes. His reasons for leaving are simply associated with his ego and his dream of being a political campaigner of note. Alas it is not to be so he chases his little dream and does not give a crap what side he is on. Kip knows deep inside that it tears him up to have decided to support Mitchell. He tries to make himself feel better by trying to lower Rivero down to make his choice seem plausible, but it is all a game with himself, he hates Mitchell, he has said it far to many times to have credibility with people that have seen what he has done and with himself. Kip was thinking about his extra years he wanted to get to add to his retirement money, but here ego as well enters the picture as it has gotten in Kips way as well. To say that it is bad or worse above is exactly what I describe. Try to make ones self feel better by diminishing both individuals. It is a sad statement of two men who should be better able at this point in their lives to control the emotional goo gaa that moves their actions. Oh they would come back and say no really, I think Rivero is this that, etc etc still trying to justify their position, but it is faulty logic and everyone sees it.

Markham is not connected to Kip except that they are both making poor decisions and disregarding the citizens and the needs of the county. Poor judgment from two that should know better.

No Problem post 300 we have been working on the Mitchell supporters for over a year now, and they are as dense as they come. They have proven themselves to be dull quite slow and angry people. There is desperation in their actions, we understand that aspect of their low and dark behavior, many have come along and many have now joined us. But their will always be those that can't seem to grasp the basic concepts of transparency and honesty. We should also remember that the Mitchell has basically told a person or two to stay on the Blog non-stop and try to counter what we are doing, there only issue there is they appear to have picked some very, well, dense individuals to fill that role. ;-)

We also want to make a mention and a thank you to the many people that approached us last night at the debate, we did not expect so many to thank us for the Blog and the work that is being done here. We had people tell us stories about trips they had taken to other states, and posted to the site. (thank you BB) and many others who we had earnest and open As the election ends we will then take a step back and review everything that has happened in the past year, how we might tweek it, and develop it further. We believe we have the beginnings of a model that could be exported to various different people and movements to assist and provide a means for those fighting against a corrupt system or government, a stage to allow the citizens to speak. Our hopes are buoyed by the huge support we have received and the words of encouragement from so many.

Further discussions will be held on the nature of anonymous postings, the positive and negatives of it. Many for example came to us with information and posted comments to the citizens that in this terrible system of Mitchell could have caused them great harm. To those people we are grateful. Another interesting note was made last night and it was an individual who said my gosh I look at the Record Bee and LCN, and 90 percent of those post are just made up names, essentially anonymous posters!! Simply by virtue of the word anonymous they said people act as if it is different then fake names. In fact they pointed out we have more people posting with their names then the two papers!! Interesting concept to say the least. So much to be looked at and much to be developed as the election ends, and we will gather all the input from the citizens as to where and how we go next. Thanks to everyone for your support, and we look forward to what the future will bring and the change that is coming to the county.

Just finished reading the charges filed against Rodny K Mitchell from the Innocence projet. If after reading these allegation I find it hard to believe that even a Mitchell supporter could ignore the wrong doing done by the current sheriff and all those involved in this scandalious cover-up. He has no regard for his community given authority to protect and to serve . The only thing he protected was his elite group. I know that if you would put your energy in the truth about your guy Mitchell you would have to see that Frank is the only choice for us now. Then I go on and say we have got to hold Franks feet to the fire creating the oversight commitee that would include the likes of people like Jeff Markham and the Police chiefs of the 2 city police dept's. however it's done we need to keep a watch on those that would have the power to 'serve all of the citizens of this county not just a chosen few. One thing I found interesting as I attended last nights debate, was the huge mistake it has been for the Mitchell thugs to try and attack Tom Carter, the standing ovation the hugs and handshakes from people of all walks of life and age was great to see. From 80 year old babe to lawyers to every walk of life who was there. Even Kip Ringen said hi to Tom. Mitchell and his supporters really made a big mistake on this one, we are talking 1000 to 1500 votes this nice man is generating. He is the unofficial mayor of Upper Lake and has friends county wide. It was a great sight to see and the look on Mitchell's face and the corruption boys and girls was classic to say the least.

An even greater truth is well no other way to say it how stupid Mitchell really is we should be able to figure from the way his people post on this site, that poor Mitchell is not the quickest study, in fact in listening to him at times or at the debates I realized how really dull and out of touch he is. It is a sad commentary for a man who has destroyed this county for the past 15 years. With everything he now has coming his way from the Dinius trial to the current 10 federal civil rights lawsuits waged against him, there is no way he can be re-elected, he will be in very serious trouble in a short amount of time and the county can ill afford to have a criminal like him in the office of sheriff.

This is the Lovelace group we want to put a post up describing some of the actions we take and why we do it. As most of you know we have turned in requests for investigation to everyone from the Grand Jury to the FPPC to Homeland Security and to the Attorney General in the past year. The less then deep corruption supporters don't quite understand why we do these things. At every opportunity we can we will put pressure on Mitchell and let him know that we are watching him very closely we already anticipate that these investigation requests will very rarely found in the citizens favor, as of course we are dealing with government agencies and those entities are not for the citizens nor have they ever been. However our purpose is not in anticipation of getting a positive ruling, it is in letting Mitchell know we will turn his ass in at every chance we get, it doesn't matter that he will be out of office in a couple of months, we will continue to pressure him till the last day when he walks down the street and leaves this county for good. He has earned that right and we will execute it over and over so he gets the message. The funny thing us most all of the citizens in the county do not know we are even engaging in this action, then Mitchell does our bidding for us and announces that he was under investigation by these various agencies, which the more he does that the more the citizens get the message that he is less then an honorable individual, he made this mistake when he walked around defending himself with his Dinius flyer, well what he did not think of was a lot of the people he handed those out to still to this day did not know who Dinius was. This is a typical campaign mistake he makes. He got for example the Record Bee to post the FPPC report, well dipstick none of the citizens knew the FPPC investigation was going on, except those on this site, who are 90 percent Rivero supporters, so he by his own actions creates doubt in the citizens mind about his integrity. LOL Ask youself a question why doesn't he put a flyer out saying why he isn't untrue to his wife, etc etc. it is the exact same thing, but the corruption boys and Mitchell are not quite smart enough to get it. These investigations are the citizens right, and we execute those rights at every opportunity we can. Thus the pressure is always going to be on Mitchell and every once in a while we will get a hit and he will pay the price. We just wanted to let you citizens and supporters know what some of our methods are. This was a great day of posting, and we appreciate all the support and the participation in this cause for change. Rember there is always method in the madness, its just that the Mitchell crew thinks it is only madness they don't see the bigger picture nor understand the method.

Good morning Lake County this is the Lovelace group, yesterday turned out to be one of the best days of comments we have had on the Blog, good intelligent posts, and a great amount of input from everyone.

We have just a few weeks of the campaign, the debates are done and now it is time to hit the streets. If you can possibly volunteer and help out please do, so there are phone calls to make, doors to knock on, and we need one last push to the election and we can start the change. We know that the Mitchell camp along with the local media will be attacking anyone and everyone at any chance they get. desperation will lead to these people trying anything to keep Rod in office, but with everyone's effort we will have a victory in November. The game is not over yet and we really want everyone to make sure we get out the vote and do everything we can to secure the victory and the beginning of change in our county. Let's do it!!
 

It is something to see the fear coming out concerning this revolution at the polls as post above. It really is a revolution and their fear is showing in so many ways. In fact it seems they have forgotten about Rivero and are attacking anyone and everyone they c an who might be supporting Rivero. I just noticed that a recent post was removed from the Blog. Good move Lovelace. If I were the one in charge of this Blog, many more posts would be removed, or not allowed to be posted at all, as they are just asinine ramblings and have no value. Any post that brings up individuals other than either Rivero or Mitchell should be deleted immediately. The low mentality of some of the Bloggers just goes to show how ignorant and gullible some individuals really are. They just cannot let their chance to show how stupid they are go by. Maybe they are just attempting to piss others off????? I guess that being anonymous makes them feel safe, but without backing up their blabbering stupidity with a name, what they say is just a waste of space on the Blog. Some of the posts are interesting and may even be informative, but many are just repetitive and old news and stupid remarks. If anyone had something to say to the hopefuls, you should have voiced it at the debates and not by hiding behind being anonymous on the Blog. What I say here will not stop the nastiness or stupidity, that will continue in some of the posts, but keep in mind that your ranting will only be harmful to your candidate, and will show to all why not to vote for him. Stupid/ignorant followers generally mean that they are following a leader that is no smarter than themselves. I am sure that this post will incite some readers, but I expect it to happen. I have two children and living in Lake County is one of the most difficult things one can do as a parent. My children are teenagers, and it is hard for them to understand how a person like Mitchell can not only have the power he has but be so corrupt and be in power. How does one explain this to teenagers, how to give them the best moral up-bringing as possible, and then allow them to see the corrupt and illegal activities of a man be condoned by his followers as good. It is discugusting to see not only the local rags but those others supporting this man do so without a thought as to the terrible and dark person he is. What I must tell these children is, it has been a result of all the people in this county who in the past have supported Mitchell. But why to they support this guy when it is so clear how he is so bad. The only thing one can say is do not think that because a person is an adult they are also wise and honest and moral it just is not the case. Now Lake County can keep no youth in this county, they all leave the first chance they get, and it is a result of these people and their systems of corruption that are causing the downfall of this county. It is sad to me, but I have hope for change if we can start by getting Mitchell out of office. Thanks for letting me vent.
 

I have a question for the corruption supporters and I think you owe it to the citizens. Where is Rob Brown, why did he leave the Mitchell campaign, and when will you let the citizens know what has happened. No signs on the property across from Perkos, no longer at any of the debates, not to be seen not to be heard. Something has gone terribly wrong and I have heard Rob is now behind the scenes supporting Rivero, this is very big, and it is time to come out with the truth. I know the Mitchell campaign is falling apart, but has it gotten so bad that you have lost Rob Brown? it seems to be the case. I have yet to get an answer, and every time it posts you guys run for cover. I think it might be time to get this out to the citizens as a whole in the county.

This is a message to the citizens, for months and months the corruption supporters have been hoping this site would be shut down, they have tried everything possible to do so and as we all know to no avail. They have attacked people personally they have attacked th site with bots and cut and pasting, and every manner possible. For now almost 14 months we have been keeping this site operational. It is an amazing accomplishment for the citizens of this county and for our hopes for change and transparency. We started out with the first week we were operating at 12 posts for the week, we have gone all the way up to 400 in one day, when there is big news is on the wind. The numbers move all over the place, but now it is clear the Blog will make it through to the election!!! This amount of time has never been achieved before with any system that citizens have brought against those trying to remove Mitchell. To this end we are thankful and grateful for all the support and all the efforts of those of the Lovelace group and all the citizens. Now the time draws near and when the election is done and we have finally a new and progressive sheriff, it will be time to develop what the next phase of the Blog will be. You might find it interesting we are now getting contacted by other counties some as far as Southern California, asking us what we did how we did it. We have decided that one of the things we will do is export this idea to other citizens that need a model and a method for fighting corruption in their community's. This is very exciting and the citizens of Lake County are responsible for this success and the attention that this site has drawn from all over the state. We also received word that the political science majors at Berkley have been watching and studying this site and our sheriffs race. This is not just about removing Mitchell for our county but for helping others in this difficult and corrupt political climate we and others live in. Dissatisfaction with government is growing, there is an unsettled feeling within the population across this country and in the world. Our battle is a microcosm of conditions across this country. People are hurting right now, they need help, they need money to make ends meet, there is a growing distrust of the status quo and those who are in power. Children are hungry in parts of our county and state, people are out of work, and there is not enough compassion and caring. Hard people who hate and don't care about those in need, racists and bigots are in our county and are supporting sheriff Mitchell who represents the status quo, and they do not think for a minute about those who are hurting those who are jobless, those who have hurt so much they do not know where to turn. Mitchell in the big scheme of things is a small and meaningless issue to be eliminated. The Gods willing that will be done soon. We urge all of you to help someone if you can, to offer a few cents or a ride or a meal to those in need. This winter is going to be very tough on the economy of Lake County and part of what we will do with this Blog will be to use it to help people and assist those in need.

Hi post 4:15. Sorry if how I write confused you. Who I will vote for is for me alone to know. I have nothing bad to say about either candidate. As I have stated on previous posts, I am friends with both candidates and I do understand what they intend to do if elected. My gripe is with some of the bloggers, and with the trash they are spewing on the blog. It's OK to be gung ho for your favorite candidate, but it's not fair or descent to bring their wives and personal lives into this Blog. This election is for the citizens to be able to decide who they want as the Sheriff for the next 4 years. This is not about their families, friends or other acquaintances that have little or nothing to do with the election. What we are having on the Blog is a first class pissing contest that is going nowhere. All of the BULL SHIT on the Blog has been said over and over again and then again. At this point in time, the majority of voters know who they will vote for, so any new trashy crap is not going to change anyones mind. Just go to your candidates get togethers and fund raisers and enjoy meeting with your friends and enjoy the music. This will all be over on November 2nd, except for maybe a party or two for the winner. I have been through many elections, but I must say that this one has been the nastiest of them all. With being anonymous allowed, any and all of the trash and BULL SHIT is out in the open for the two opposing candidates and/or their backers to manipulate to their hearts content. It has been and probably continue to be just another PISSING CONTEST, but neither side will end up winning that. Whoopie, it's dinner time, so all of you bloggers have a relaxing evening, and try being nice to each other even if it hurts.

I have to concur with post 553, let's not fool ourselves with the exception of a few names it is anonymous on all the papers, Look at any of them they use made up names fake names etc etc. That fact that we are open about it is the issue people have, we are honest about it. We have discussed anonymous postings many times there are many schools of thought, but the one most predominate is the idea that because of people like Mitchell this is necessary, look what happens the moment the Mitchell boys get a hold of a name, oh they attack and attack and attack. The largest anonymous site in the world is Wikileaks which is where we archive our comments. Wikileaks on a larger scale has exposed corruption and terrible incidents that would never have found the light of day with out them. Much of the corruption we have exposed in our little county has been a result of the anonymous postings, those officers and county employees that have come to us did so because their anonymity has been assured. You can disagree with anonymous postings all you want, but when the citizens are assured that they will not be attacked by the likes of the low brow Mitchell supporters then you will find more using their actual names. You may not like it but you have Mitchell to blame for that not this Blog.

I am of the opinion that those who dislike the Blog should stay away, and those who get so caught up in the spelling and grammar that they miss the importance of the message should leave also. In addition to the above reason (see 10:02 above) that persons should not be disparaged, there is also the reason that when you are writing with passion and frustration, having to pay most attention to the grammar and spelling rather than the message can be counterproductive. Now that the Sheriff race is nearly over and the DA is already "gone", it is easy to Monday morning quarterback the Blog. I usually don't like blogs, and depend on the newspapers for the researched and fact checked truth. But guess what.. we have press that leans toward more of the same in this county and toward leaving out the parts of the story that don't favor their opinion. It has been true over the past year or more that if we didn't have this Blog, there are many who not only would not have been heard, but wouldn't have each other to boost us up and encourage us. Maybe Rob Brown is laying low because he found out that the Board of Supervisors members are not supposed to endorse others in Lake County elections? I don't know that for sure, it just makes sense.
 

We all thank you for the boost and support, Sandy, as you know when ever one speaks out against the Mitchell regime they will attack over and over, everyone knows this and he for so many years has had the press and enough supporters to stay in office and discourage anyone else from running. We just set the stage the citizens have done the rest. This has been an amazing social experiment, one that to this degree has never been attempted, and all it took was the citizens coming together for a common cause of justice and transparency. This has been in many ways a voice for the voiceless.
 

I would hate to be the Idiot who recently stole a Sheriff Mitchell sign out of the front yard of someone who works in the DA's Office!! Now that was Dumb! And you Ding Bats say it's only Rivero signs that are being stolen.
 

By the way the supervisors are allowed to openly support someone running for sheriff, as you can tell none of the other supervisors have done this, The ethics agreement allows for it, but not in the other direction sheriff or DA showing outward support for a supervisor. We believe both actions should not be allowed. The better part of valor says a supervisor should not do this, there is to much connection and collusion in this small county for that.

I didn't mean to stir up a hornet's nest by using the term Monday morning quarterbacking....but I'm unhappy about how the person asking the question is being treated. It was asked in a straight forward manner, no cussing or @#!*#& included, so we should answer it respectfully please. This is supposed to be about sharing information and ferretting out bad people, not being rude and stressing each other out. So I will explain in case the person comes on again. It is when you stand around the water cooler (or sit on the porch swing with a friend) and talk about what the quarterback should have done in the weekend game instead of what he did. Enough on that subject. In reference to the FPPC, my friend Babe and I were also disappointed in their ruling. As I have said before I believe in the use of equipment for law enforcement and military in the parades, but not when an election is going on and the sheriff is a candidate. It gives him an unfair advantage, as does being able to walk around as the known sheriff, passing out flyers labeled "The Facts About the Boat Crash Case"... however, as it was explained to me, no identification is required to appear on flyers personally delivered by a candidate. We can object, but the Political Reform Act has no teeth, and FPPC is just an enforcement agency. So... in the future we need to do better in terms of electing public officials and Supreme Court Judges who are more interested in clarity and truth. In the meantime, just as Buyer Beware tells you to shop carefully, Voter Beware tells you to study the issues and get to know the people, and not make hasty, careless decisions at the polls. Thank you Sandy and James, as you can see the minute a perfect overview is posted and the truth is reveled, we have the Mitchell supporters doing the usual cut and paste. We have to train them to move forward in the conversations they seem to get their needle stuck in the skip mode and they repeat over and over. Corruption and lying is a terrible thing to have a campaign be a part of like Mitchell's is. But we have given the perfect overview and of course they do not like it.
