Record Bee had a story about a boat accident that took place around Glenhaven during daylight hours Tuesday. Seems the deputy who responded claims the 24 ft. boat ran under a dock suspended on cables 3ft. above the water line. (he saw evidence) that the boat came out on the other side then went into a circle and and landed into a seawall.
Record Bee article written 7/22 The boat driver, James Wickersham was transported to SRM. His girlfriend Natasha Young 54 of San Ramon received minor injuries.

You need to watch this case and see what Sgt. Ostini and the existing DA do with it. Charge or no charge.

First of all don't buy into the disinformation that the Mitchell camp through Joe Fords ideas is putting out. No ladies and gentlemen Kip Ringen is not campaigning for a write in vote. That is a spin ruse being thrown out by Ford, it is his MO, so don't get caught up in it. LOL Nice try however.

Next there is no Rivero Lawsuit in any form the only thing left on the table is the EEOC complaint of which everyone is aware, Mitchell will keep that under wraps if possible till after the election.

By the way there is a very interesting article up on the Manifest called the curious case of John Stoddard, and the Riviera homeowners association. Wuite a good read you should check it out.

Don't get fooled by the lightweight campaign tactics that will now start surfacing, it is the only hope Mitchell has..And it isn't going to work. Also this is a forum for the removal of Mitchell, we have nailed Hoppy, now Mitchell comes in November. The forum will not be hijacked by the likes of Ford or anyone else, we will maintain the focus and stay on point.

I think it sucks to be unfaithful, but then again I'm not the one who has to live with that kind of deceit! That being said, it does make one wonder if they could deceive those they love or loved, whos to say they won't or aren't deceiving the citizens within this campaign. So I will continue to watch and listen and base my vote on who I think is best qualified to handle this position. First report out on a new poll for the county. The question if you were voting today who would you cast your vote for for sheriff. The percentages 63% Rivero, 27% Mitchell, undecided 10%...That my friends bodes quite well for Frank, just thought you would want to know. A lot of hard work ahead for everyone, and these numbers cannot be taken as a done deal, but if the effort continues and the trends continue this is going to be a great November for change in Lake County.

Next this site is set up for the removal of Hopkins and Mitchell and one is gong the other just a couple of months away, and oh my the party we are planning is going to be huge. It will be a celebration of the new movement in the county. The elimination of the elitist group who has been control, and a change to the power being given back to the citizens.

Next this is not a site for any candidate, it's current phase is the removal of Mitchell when that is done, we will be moving heavily onto the supervisors and the city of Clearlake. Lot's to do once the first 2 phases are accomplished. But as far as write in's or any other useless diatribes not going to happen here, not what the site is set up for.

Just as an idea of some of the things we will be working on with the supervisors, hours of work, how much time for their 55,000 a year they are putting in, some suspect most don't put in more the 2 to 3 days a week at the most. Accountability of their time to be reported to the citizens. Transparency in EVERY aspect of their decisions, no more closed door meetings lest it be a super personal situation. A every two week accounting of who is on IA who is on payed leave, who ever is costing the taxpayers any monie will be reveled and it will be discussed with the citizens. We will do a pay review and determine if the supervisors need a pay decrease or increase. Most feel based on actual hours worked they are well over paid. So just to give you an idea of where we are going next this is just some of the ideas and concepts we are currently working on.

This is a great editorial by Gary Dixon of the Record Bee on the Silk's bar situation we reported on in the Manifest. Very good commentary by Gary, Looks like he is trying to find the progressive thought process a bit more. We will put up in a couple of posts.


Imagine a nightclub where no live or DJ-controlled music is allowed, where no "happy hours" are permitted, where dancing is prohibited, where the doors close at midnight and where there are so many guards that the vibe is more prison-like than a place to have fun and unwind. Does that sound like a place where you would go to enjoy an evening? Probably not, but those were the terms forced upon Andre Williams when he opened Silk's this January in Clearlake.

The restrictions were applied by Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) in order for Silk's to be able to sell alcoholic beverages. But they were written into the permit at the request of Clearlake Chief of Police Allan McClain. Because of problems at nightclubs that were previously operated at the same location as Silk's, Chief McClain chose a course of heavy initial restrictions.

Some people would have decided against attempting to navigate a new nightclub through its first year while being so hamstrung by all the limitations placed on his business. William's attorney, Ron Green, said, "He (McClain) should have given Andre a chance to succeed with Silk's without asking for such restrictive and costly conditions."

We agree with Green's assessment. In the current economy it is hard enough for a business to survive these days. But when local law enforcement seems to be against you, too, it makes it that much more difficult.

Our position is that a brand new owner should have been given the benefit of
the doubt. Standard restrictions for his liquor license should have been requested. If, after some time went by, Silk's turned out to be a place where Clearlake police were having to spend an inordinate amount of time and manpower because Williams was not following legal and permit guidelines, then Chief McClain could have returned to ABC to have broader restrictions placed on the establishment.

Because Williams has operated his business with so few problems, on his behalf, at least Chief McClain has agreed to sign off on modifications of Silk's liquor license with ABC that are less restrictive. We just believe everyone would have been better-served if Chief McClain had followed the old-fashioned system of "Innocent until proven guilty."

Wow that sure is weird since she road with Rivero in the parade in Clearlake standing next to Bealand and was at the Konocti Vista dinner!

I called both Ringen and Rivero and both are still working together to get Rivero elected. As for Rivero's wife, she is with Rivero at Disneyland. She did have another house she lived in near Rivero while they were separated, but she has moved back in with Rivero several months ago.

So let me get the Mitchell supports facts correct. To them, it is okay to be Mitchell, cheat on your wheel bound chaired wife and have a dope smoking son, but it's not okay to be separated, get back together and never had cheated on his wife.

I took a walk in the park tonight, ran across a few cops not so brite. The silcone 7, bottle in hand, gave a great performance of ignorance at hand. After a review while working on a story, and visiting cities like Willits, Mendocino, Humbolt and other areas for a comparative view to Lake County one can quite easily see the reasons for the "stale" and non-progressive evolution of this county and the reasons. First we have no youth environment. Willits for example has numerous clubs and music venues playing every night, There is activity and movement throughout the day and night, there is interaction with the outdoor eating venues, and the 101 traffic flow keeps the place moving and active. One of the main causes of this stale environment, is due to the very elitist network of BOS, Mitchell, LE and governmental collusion that has kept the money in the county to an inner circle or group which through contracts and self-serving agenda's has stagnated this county. Why would they want to change, why would they want to evolve the county to an open and transparent growing environment. They have had their cake why would they want to let go of any of it. Much needs to be done in this county, Mitchell and the old GOB's including Rob Brown and others have tried to keep control of conditions and in their Right Wing totally conservative outlook have nearly destroyed this county. They don't see it they can't see it, they think everything is just fine, because it is within their own circle that leaves out the citizens and potential for change and growth. How do we attract the youth between ages 20 and 29, how do we create a significant environment that attracts people here. Ladies and gentlemen it is not wine that is going to do it. Imagine with our current reputation, how many people are going to go through Napa, go through Sonoma, to say wow Lake County is the place to go for wine and atmosphere. Not going to happen. How do you get people off of the 101 and highway 5 to come to this county? These are all questions that must be answered, and this group who has been in control, have not been creative nor inventive in their outlook and understanding. If you have every been the subject of an IA, the investigating supervisor starts by reading you an admonishment. Part of that admonishment is if you give consent for LCSO to release information about the case to the public. Rivero told Mitchell in person, on TV, radio and the news that LCSO can advise the public of his IA.

You might think this is rare but the admonishment is given at all IA interviews. Ask Ringen, Bealnd, Morsed or any retired or active LCSO supervisor. It is no secret, most deputies say no, but Rivero said yes.

Rivero acknowledged that Brown sent him an email clearing him of the Rully complaint, but Mitchell for some reason refuses to acknowledge it publicly. Sort of like the EEOC complaints.

Think back when Contra Costa Sheriff's dropped the ball on checking a sex offender who had a girl hidden in the backyard for 16 years and fathered two children from her. Did the sheriff say it's a personnel matter? No, he acknowledged the Sheriff's Office screwed up and took the full blame. He didn't mention any names, deputies or detectives, just that his office dropped the ball. Keeping that in mind, why can't Mitchell state the findings of the EEOC complaints. No deputies, witnesses or incidents, just that it happened or it did not. What's wrong with that?
 

We know why Mitchell will not acknowledge both the EEOC and the Rully incident it does not work for him, and paints a very bad picture of him. That is pretty much cut and dry. Now the reality is that over the next few months Mitchell and his boys are going to have to face up to a great number of issues, they will come from the Dinius trial, they will come from other investigative information that is going to come out. The Beland results will be released in various forms. It is not going to be a pretty picture.

Great 753 you have done a great job proving the point good job. Write in canidates have a snowballs chance in hell. A senator back to the 50's and a community school candidate. And that is using the internet to search with. Excellent point it just does not happen, as was already mentioned except some a very very very rare occasion. Nearly zero percent chance. By the way since 60 years ago and Thurmond there have 129 attempts at write in attempts the number that succeeded since then out of 129.....zero. and the percentages for small communities is even less. Again you can claim some write in success if you want to go to the level of preschool gardening assistant, or some other random event, but overall people simply do not participate in the process.

If you voted during the Primary's you would have seen there is NO PLACE FOR A WRITE IN VOTE!! All you can do is scratch a bubble to indicate what you want. If you elect to vote via computer, there is no location for a write in vote. So you might as well drop the write in vote stuff because in Lake County there is no such are to do it.

Actually 921 there is a provision for a write in choice the individual has to file etc etc otherwise if the name is written in it is not applied to the name it would be just like a no vote. But really even that provision is not the critical point, it is the near impossibility for a write in to ever succeed. Just the way it has always been. So mote point overall.
 

If you file, than you are not a "write-in" you're a regular candidate. Rivero obtained signatures to placed on the ballot, but Mitchell and Baxter paid the fees. Anyone could have been on the Primary's if they pay or get the right amount of signatures. I do agree that it is nearly impossible for a write in to ever succeed.

OWD, how is it that you are now Ringen's spokesperson? I am a person who is more closely connected to the LL group than you might think. Why doesn't Kip come out and tell us he's not starting a write in campaign. I've never known him to mince words, or have someone else do his talking for him, so what makes you think you are good enough to assume this role? I personally think he'd be a much better choice than either of these two we now have to choose from. Ringen did a lot of work, a lot of campaigning, and provided a huge amount of information and resources towards helping out Rivero's campaign, only to be backdoored whilst on vacation. That's the thanks Rivero gives the guy who mentored him? Ringen has ten times the class of Rivero, has spent an entire career helping cops, spent the better part of this last year helping Rivero, only to be crapped on by Rivero.
