2:12 you sound like a Mitchell fan, you'd love nothing more than to get a write in from Ringen because you know that more than likely that would take votes away from Rivero. None of the deputies will vote for Ringen regardless of what they may have said to Kip, they are using him for a pawn to take votes away from Rivero. I hope Kip dislikes Mitchell more than he does Rivero and is not serious about turning in his write in papers. All that is going to do is Make it a little easier for Mitchell to win. That would just be wrong.... Kip if you are butt hurt because of Rivero's choice please don't be, Rivero had a good idea in having Baxter get on the ticket with him, nothing against you Kip but in the public eye Baxter is better known because of the debates and his prior run for Sheriff. 212 if a post has been removed untowardly we apologise, our main idea of course is to maintain the point and focus of the Blog, it is not about Rivero's campaign, although of course since he is the front runner and our endorsement it will enter into the conversations. We also are not a Blog for others campaigning, our work for the past year has been the exposure of Mitchell and Hopkins, as we approach the elections the Blog is going to become very busy, and the focus will be squarely on Mitchell and the election of Rivero. This site is also not for the constant posting of others names and actions and attributes and actions. This is not about us, this is not about the ego's of others or ours. This is a personal sacrifice for a greater cause in our county.
As another note, we do not pronounce that we are speaking for anyone concerning their personal actions that they may be contemplating on taking. The important point is to ensure there is not division in the ranks, this is what is happening to the Mitchell camp. We think that anyone who would now say they are trying to enter the race at this late date, is not doing it because there would be a chance of winning but for other reasons, not connected to changing our county with a major turnover of the GOB's and a removal of Mitchell. If we now let the site slide away to other issues which would be the tendency during this long gap between elections, we would be off point and not ready to resume the attack on Mitchell and his removal.
Good try Mitchell supporters, but all you're trying with the write-in attempt is to draw votes from Rivero. Too bad it will not work.
I spoke with Rivero yesterday. He is in LA at the beach with his son and wife. There is nothing wrong between Rivero and Ringen. Rivero is just getting some rest and relaxation before hitting the trail again. He will be back at the end of the month.

Just heard some interesting news, it sounds like the Mitchell camp is at a loss of how to approach the hole they are in. The reinventing of Mitchell idea is not working, I guess to much history to deal with. I was told their biggest concern is not knowing what is coming their way, and how to deal with the continued bad news that is going to come out. Some are beginning to back away from Rodney and trying to figure out what they want to do. Several have actually touched bases with Frank undercover to try and secure their postions.

This has been an interesting couple of days, as the Mitchell camp in total desperation has tried to create some picture of a rift or concern between Rivero and Ringen or others. The most interesting part of this is it does show the total desperation that exists in the Mitchell camp. Regardless of this feeble attempt, the one minor issue they forgot about was it does not matter. There is virtually no one who voted for Rivero and will vote for Rivero who then suddendely won't vote for Frank, because they tried to create a false rift. Is that so hard to understand corruption supporters? You think because someone thinks there is a conflict that they then would say oh man now I am not voting for Rivero I am going to vote for Mitchell!! You see how silly that concept is, and ok let's give the Mitchell boys some credit, alright you are going to shift 2 votes, there ya go, nice job way to go now start packing your bags cause November is coming and you still have to leave. ;-)

My my as long as you are a Rivero supporter post 216 cast all the stones you want, when Rivero gets elected and with your and our votes he will, you can name call till you are blue in the face the fact of the matter is it does not matter. Mitchell being removed and new leadership is the goal. You see there will always be "rifts' and tears in the fabric of any campaign team and of any group working for a common cause, we have already seen people come and go in the different camps. We have already seen ego's and anger cause disruption, but these issues are quite minor indeed, they will in the long run amount to nothing, and in November we will be celebrating a new sheriff and the beginnings of a new transparent and just county. Since we agree on those points, it seems the other issues hold very little sway in the bigger scheme of things. We think it is great that people don't agree with us all the time, even those that are mutual Rivero supporters. It would be quite boring otherwise. Ever been to a campaign meeting post 216? Many of us have been and in far bigger arena's then Lake County, the arguing and disagreements abound, that is how approach and direction are set forth consensus is far different then total agreement, and consensus is the model for change. Good morning Lake County. It was quite the interesting day of posting yesterday and last night. It seems desperation fuels strange hopes and in this case the hopes and what are actually fears are beginning to show in the Mitchell camp. To put this in perspective you should look at the conditions that are in place with the elitist network over the past 15 years. Just to give you a sense let's list a few of the members of this elitist network. Mitchell, Dutra, Frace, (name the rest of these if you wish) Borgi(K-ville lumber) other business's, Rob Brown, local media, and the list goes on. A little world of their own that has been set up over the years. Contracts, money, interconnected collusion, no bid contracts, and on and on. Now they see all this being peeled away, and who has been left out of the picture? The citizens, the counties well being and a greater vision of the future that was not to be because of these self-serving neo-egotist's out for their own good not the publics. Now it is all going to be taken away, Rob Brown won't be the only bail advertisement in the jail and a whole host of other collusion that will be taken down. So you think they are worried, you bet they are and it is all going to be revealed after the November election. KKK clint is worried, he will not be able to promote his agenda when Mitchell is gone. Contracts will be looked at new bids will be done. There will be a total change of priorities and direction, and it will be the citizens who are the defining factor. The ivory tower is crumbling. The emperor has no clothes the citizens know it but he does not.
This site is not designed to promote any other agenda's or individuals, it is site which has endorsed Rivero and Anderson, it is a site for removing Hopkins and Mitchell, now of course just Mitchell. For those that wish to promote other agenda's do so by your own methods. For example the copy cat shadowy blog the Mitchell boys created. Well you may not want to use that model, as they are averaging about 4 hits a day, but none the less you get the idea.

Your paper continues to write about me constantly. I am the alleged victim in this matter, only I have had the opportunity to be transported to court with Mr. Dan Beaty. While I am not sure who my attacker was, I am sure that it was not Dan Beaty.
Lake County, in its efforts to seem quick and efficient to produce results have made an arrest and are prosecuting, yet they have not asked me if I recognized the alleged assailant in the matter of me being shot.
I have to live with the proceedings happening out-of- control and I happen to be housed here as an inmate. Can you imagine how I am stressed by this matter?

Mitchell has been reaching out to all the retired LCSO people who supported Baxter trying to get them to come to his side. Many of these people are fed up with Mitchell but worry about Rivero. Mitchell's henchmen have been actively trying to intimidate anyone and everyone who is swinging Rivero's way and really pissing people off causing a backlash in Rivero's favor. The Mitchell gang is working overtime spreading rumors, spinning facts and trying to create a new Rod.
Rodney is stilling standing in front of the mirror saying, "mirror mirror on the wall, who's the greatest sheriff of them all" The mirror is still laughing at him.
Rivero has plans to make the department a better place to work and promises change. Mitchell will not consider change eventhough the voters and tax payers demand it. Simple choice, the same old BS or change.

The deputies are worried. They are afraid of Mitchell's wrath if they cross him. They don't know what Rivero is going to do when he gets in so they threaten to leave the department. Who knows where they think they can go in these tough times. The smart ones are keeping quiet and are willing to give Rivero a chance to do the right thing as he's promised. These are the people who will be part of a new department which will work for everyone.
The voters will elect the next Sheriff not the DSA, not a blog group, not the dopers or KKKClint. Get that straight once and for all. We the people are tired of what's been going on in our county and we are ready for a change.

For all intents the Mitchell campaign is in total chaos. People are fleeing right and left, the re-creation of Mitchell is not working, and a lot of people have now pulled in the guns and are hiding away. This is going to be a very difficult time for Mitchell and his boys as the next 2 months goes by. What everyone has to be prepared for is the end game. When he is really up against the wall and the end is clear, Mitchell and Rob Brown are going to pull out all the stops. Word is out that Brown is starting to look at his own situation and now understands the end is going to come. What exactly they will try even they don't know as it is going to be irrational actions based on their fears.

Post 144 as has been indicated the Mitchell is in total chaos. What will happen in the next couple of months will be interesting to say the least. He has refused to waive time with his attorney stating that this case will go to trial which is presently set for Sept. 14. Word is he was offered a misdemeanor but rejected it claiming innocence. In his case though, even a misdemeanor would be devastating as it would cause him to lose his medical license. Anyone have any idea who the complaining victim is?

Yes it is true that the $10,000. donations or bribes have dried up. He's holding icecream socials and walking up and down the street holding out a tin cup.

I find it interesting that the National Rifle Association has indorsed Mitchell and sent out political advertisements for him paid for by the NRA. The northern California NRA representative lives in Lowerlake and is listed on Mitchell’s web site as an endorsement.

Look close at who Rod's close supporters are. Those that are now working at the LCSO and spend all their time in his corner and doing his bidding. New article up on Lake County and the housing boom and crash, it is an eye opening article and tells an interesting story of where the county is right now and what the effects of the bust have been, and talks about the mistakes made during the run-up to what was going to be big downfall. When you are on the Manifest please sign up as a member and join us in our mission to bring transparency to the county, and promote our community newspaper.
The FBI or AJ should come in and take an inventory of Sheriff Mitchell’s property and drug evidence rooms to see what’s there and what’s disappeared. Most places do an annual inventory audit to keep things on the up and up. Not Rod. Why?

More QUESTIONS unanswered. Where is all the money bequeathed to the Search and Rescue volunteers? This money was specifically left to SAR not to Sheriff Mitchell or the LCSO. Mitchell was to act as trustee. Since he too controls this group he saw fit to keep the money and use it for purposed other then it was intended for. Where is the money Rodney?

This is breaking news, Piedmont lumber has just closed their doors. Their spokesman says they are closed for a temporary period of time and will be re-opening sometime in August under new management the new management is Mendo Mill, the negotiations had been on again off again for several weeks and the last hurdles were completed inventory zeroed and the transaction is complete. We will post further details as they come in. It had been reported that the bank had told them to run their inventory down to nothing and they would then re-stock and re-open in an attempt to re-start and save the business with a new owner. If you read the article on the Manifest you will see the connection to why this is happening to Piedmont.

CPD is going out of business. LCSO doesn't hanbdle what they have so who will protect the people Clearlake? Perhaps Chief Burke will take over both as a contract and city and a contract county then we'll get good responsible policing.

Sheriff Mitchell was in Kelseyville this afternoon at the free food gave away on main st. Mitchell was wearing a white pol low shirt with the word "SHERIFF" on the sleeves. Asking people about the Sheriff Dept.
Totally amazing, Mitchell hasn't given a dam, about the working poor in Lake Co. for the past sixteen years and why now? oh yes!!! it's election time.

I think to show all voters that he (Frank) is for true transparency he should challenge Mitchell to open all his personal departmental records to the public and he (Frank) would do the same. I bet Micthell wouldn't go for it. Baxter refused to open his.

WOW, trying to do some research to see the opinions in the County regarding the race for Sheriff and I see a lot of people who have a low education. There is no real debate, mispelled words and incorrect grammar. Nothing based on facts just assumption and it is very obvious that nearly everyone is clueless on how the criminal justice system actually works. So, for those of you who really would like to make a point, get your facts and state them not your opinions. That is when you will make a difference.

LCSO has had two dui checkpoints at a cost of probably $ 200,000 . Each checkpoint netted one dui arrest . How does Mitchell defend wastefullspending like that . Lord knows how infrequently boat patrol actually goes out on the lake .

The one arrest at the BUI check-point was one Paul Waters, there was a former sheriff officer whose name was Paul Waters, I wonder if it is the same individual, anyone with information on this put it on the thread. It would not be surprising would it.

I made sure everybody knew about the dui checkpoint . Why do they do a dui checkpoint in the afternoon and not at 2 am . I bet they would have caught a lot of deputies leaving the concertin Lakeport .
