Not going to have a lot of bantering on this site in regards to other blog sites. Frankly we could care a less about any other sites out there. They are a dime a dozen, and we have to much going on to be worried about anyone else. If the corruption supporters want to play with themselves we think that's kool. We are in the process of our final name change on the site which will happen with the completion of the removal of Mitchell. So hope you all don't mind if we clean up the site in regards to any other sites that have essentially copied our model, which of course is flattering that they want to emulate us, but we really don't have the time nor desire to play with the kids. to much to do and to much great stuff going on with the upcoming launch of the newspaper and our investigations into Mitchell's illegal activities at the MT parade. Oh ya by the way we have more coming. I know they hate to hear it, but every time we say it you know what happens.
 

If you are coming on to the site first time today be sure to click older and read our posts concerning the documentation letter presented to the BOs this afternoon, and the report and Mitchell isn ow under investigation with the Department of Homeland Security for his use of the equipment at the MT parade. Thought it should be passed on to you, as a supplement to the draft the BOS received this afternoon outlining the concerns with sheriff Mitchell and Rob Brown and the use of public resources in campaigning.

After a conversation with the OIG(Office of Inspector General) DHS (Department of Homeland Security) in regards to the investigation of Rodney Mitchell and the use of the parade equipment already described. They have agreed to open an investigation: The DHS report number is DHS100622015....The citizens ID# for this investigation is #75922. After our conversation it appears that it would be wise to get on top of this, as they don't sound like they look to highly on this activity by Mr. Mitchell.

I watch the BOS meetings on channel eight from time to time. I have noticed that Brown tends to be very rude and condesending when dealing with the public. He's always rubbed me the wrong way. Unfortunately I was unable to watch today. Do they still replay the BOS meetings during the weekend?

By the way if you missed the BOS meeting this afternoon it was really quick there was only 3 minutes to do the proper notification and Anthony was watching the clock to the second!!! They had to get a lot of information in with a short amount of time. but the stunned look on Rob's face was priceless, and the rest of the Board members were pretty much taken by surprise. Funny how Farrington says the BOS members will not be commenting on the 3 minute presentations then Rob is always wanting to respond, then Rob responds and gets slapped around. Well we will see when they schedule the real discussion of this topic on the agenda and we can really get down to business. If they do that is.

Okay everyone, the Clearlake City council meeting starts at 600 pm at city hall in clearlake. There are very important subjects on the agenda, including money that the city adminstrator is bleeding the city and citizens of. The article in the paper or letter to the editor was trying to garnish support for Dale and his cronies. My questions are, was'nt Dale Neiman run out of Fortuna, Lakeport and landed in Clearlake. He cut himself down to about 900 hours, but he is already retired so it does'nt hurt him any. Alan McClain is a poor excuse for a leader and has been on stress leave more than he has been in his plush office (with new furniture to boot). Timothy Celli will be presenting or trying to justify his Gestapo type tactics in strong arming Silk's owner (Andre) by intimidating him with police and the ABC cops. What a sham folks, Mcclain is a sorry sap who needs to retire, cuz he duznt live in the city and his houses have been foreclosed on!! Lets show up and show our anger at the way they treat the citzens of lake County people, change is on the way!!!!

Good News for sheriff Mitchell, no on-duty Deputy arrested for DUI last night.
 

in regards to the council meeting this evening in Clearlake we have heard the Ofc. Brady will not be addresssing the council, as he now needs to wait for his appeal to be completed before doing so. If anyone can confirm this that would be great.

The count of the votes starts at 9:00 this morning at the elections department.
 

Everyone keep in mind the CSLB will be in town today as well, if you are a licensed contractor be careful on your job sites, the employment representative of the state is with them as well. For handy man services or small construction be careful as well. Just a heads up, the state is out looking for revenue generation.

I am not a fan of the PD right now. Last night we had a day light shooting on our road most likely drug related, PD was called at 730-745 at 9 we noticed one police car who did not stop to take a report just drove on down the road, by this time of course all involved parties were long gone, an additional call into the dept. to send out an officer to take a report, no show so it was canceled as it was bed time.

This was not just a simple shot fired it was two bad guys shooting point blank at a neighbor apparently someone sent the duo to scare the people that lived there,the occupants are well known to the PD. as all are on probation/parole.

A group of neighbors are tired of all the illegal activities going on at this address and with this incident it is getting too up close and personal, what if a stray bullet had hit one of the kids or adults or even the innocent neighbors who have had to deal with all the on goings for 7 years.

Chief Alan Mccain, Your officers are following lock step with your NOT CARING ABOUT THE CITIZEN'S THAT PAY YOUR SALARIES.( *there are a few exceptions a couple good cops are still doing their jobs) We would like to have the officers start caring again as they once did, You have ruined Our Police dept with your lack of details. So what are we to do arm ourselves and hope like hell we get the bad guys before they get us?

Spoke with a couple of CLPD officers. They stated that McClain really isn't a bad guy. With that being said, they also said that he is more like everyones friend instead of their boss! They stated that they don't believe he is Leadership material, but the guy is a nice guy!

It was said that the officer who wrote that report didn't know a entrance wound from a exit wound and got it back asswards. If this is the case why wasn't this guy let go for a incorrect report which by the way is quite damaging for someone who wants to pursue legal help!

They have said the hope to have the extra votes counted by the 30th. Can someone tell us what the hell is taking them so long. Come on folks, get 15 people together hand up some ballots and count the damn things, you should be done in a couple of hours. We are talking 22 days to get 3 to 4 thousand votes counted!!! Could someone please step up to the plate and take control of this and get it done please.

This is the first Federal Court held at Hopland Indian Reservation after an agreement between the Band of Pomo indians and the US NORTHEREN DISTRICT COURT. The Hopland Reservation Police Department announced the federal court was held yesterday. A Federal Magistrate will preside over the bi-monthly hearings for misdemeanor citations issued by federally commissioned law enforcement agencies.
It includes the federally commissioned law enforcement departments at the Hopland Reservation, the Robinson Rancheria in Upperlake, the US bureau of Land Management, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Army Corps of Engineers and the US Forest Service. The chief of the Hopland Reservation Police Department says the agreement is
"unprecedented" and a win-win for all.
I wanted to share this information that I borrowed from Kxbx. LCN and RB don't have it as yet.

Why is it the Mitchell mob is so against Dave and what he is trying to build in the PD at RR? I would think as professionals they would wish him well and work with him to make the best department he can have as it will save lcso some work when things get started out at the RR. I think it boils down to pettiness, jealousy and oh yeah the big one lack of professionalism. But then again they are what they see up top....post on 10:16 I for one am glad to see that the Magistrate is going to be helping out up here, now maybe our courts won't be so backed up.

The final votes are scheduled to be done on the 30th of this month, we do not know why it is taking this long, we have already commented that it seems like you could get 15 people and finish the count in about 4 hours...At any rate it is now scheduled for the 30th to be completed.

I personally attest to being up till the late hours of the night with Brian Rushing while he worked and created this great new edition to our county. As you will see he has done a fantastic job, while also wearing several hats as editor and author while creating the layout and systems of this new publication. Nobody fears Rivero, they just can't handle the peoples outrage over Mitchell's actions. No deputy (well maybe one or two) will quit if Rivero is Sheriff. That is because there are masive layoff's going on around the state right now. Sacramento laid off 200, Oakland is planning on 80, Sonoma has not hired anyone all year, neither has Napa, Solano and Vallejo is bankrupt. Lets not forget even Clearlake PD and Lakeport PD had to cut police positions.

We understand the issue on Renee is closed. Mark has decided that he did not hear what he thought he heard, and there was great confusion on his part. Kip Ringen is not associated with the situation, and the corruption supporters as usual were hanging their hat on a falsehood and confusing situation that was not as described. Many times knowing this we will allow the corruption supporters to put their foot in their mouth, which as usual they did. We see no need to put out further details on this confusing situation. The aspect of her injuries will be worked out and some questions do remain on that front. In due time that will be put forth and this will be a done deal. Let's focus on Mitchell and continuing our efforts to bringing him down. There is a lot coming his way oh if we could only say it all...But timing is everything. We will address the Clearlake PD's actions in due time and why Mark was not arrested as is dictated by law in domestic violence situations. We do however want to honor Renee's privacy and will do so. There has been a lot of support for what is another battered women in our county. We believe that Mitchell's actions and those of his cronies, lends itself to improper execution of the law in regard to all battered women in this county. As well as a lack of support and compassion for these situations.

The Case For Anonymity

A Safe Haven For Investigative Journalists Everywhere is the call that came out of Iceland on June 16th 2010. The Iceland Parliament passed, in a unanimous vote of 50 yes to 0 no, the most comprehensive journalist, blogger, and whistle blower protection law in history. The “New Media Haven” proposal passed in Reykjavik, Iceland; at 4:00 UTC, June 16th 2010. The Icelandic Parliament has also received a Nobel peace prize for press Freedom of Expression. One of the inspirations for the proposal was the dramatic August 2009 gagging of Iceland's national broadcaster, RUV through legal actions taken by Iceland's then largest bank, Kaupthing. A dramatic enhancement to the proposal was accomplished through two additions written into the proposal which indicates the strength and determination of Iceland's Parliament to protect freedom of speech and they are:
That the government should perform a detailed analysis, especially with respect to operational security, for the prospect of operating data centers in Iceland.
That the government should organize an international conference in Iceland regarding the changes to the legal environment being caused by expansion of cloud computing, data havens, and the judicial state of the Internet.
Given the importance of anonymity to free speech, electronic commerce, and privacy, it is only a small exaggeration to suggest that the debate about anonymity on the Internet is in effect a debate about the degree of political and economic freedom that will be fostered, or tolerated, in a modern society.

Anonymous communication may be particularly deserving of protection for its own sake. Not everyone is so courageous as to wish to be known for everything they say, and some timorous speech deserves encouragement. Corporate whistle-blowers, even junior professors, may fear losing their jobs. People criticizing a religious cult or other movement from which they might fear retaliation may fear losing their lives. In some countries, even this one in some times and places, it is unsafe to be heard to criticize the government. Persons who wish to criticize a repressive government or foment a revolution against it may find anonymity invaluable. Indeed, given the ability to broadcast messages widely using the Internet, anonymous e-mail may become the modern replacement of the anonymous handbill.
Communicative anonymity encourages people to post requests for information to public bulletin boards about matters they may find too personal to discuss if there were any chance that the message might be traced back to its origin. In addition to the obvious psychological benefits to people who thus find themselves enabled to communicate, there may be external benefits to the entire community.
The case for anonymity has a long and storied history not only in our county but in the world. To disparage anonymous journalism is a suppression of free speech in its simplest forum. Curiously the angst toward anonymous posting is, in most cases, the anger of those being exposed.

I hear that Joan Moss was considering doing an Article on Battered Women and the system? If not, please let me know as G4 was considering doing an Article. It seems this story is repeating itself over and over with lots of women. Especially ones who may be vocal about speaking out about corruption in this County getting treated different.

I know at least 3 ex-LEO wives that I bet would love to give you their stories. No one has ever taken them seriously and its due to the GOB Network. I think this would fit into your article quite well. Some even have the proof to back up their allegations of abuse like photos and documents.
