Voters Registars Office is saying there are over 3700 Hundred ballots that still need counting 500 and something which are provisional. They are stating although they do not believe this will change the race for Sheriff, it may change it for DA! Article on the RB. 4x

I voted for Don in the Primary but was not totally decided for the General, however my mind is made up! Don Anderson for LC District Attorney! Talk about class... Anderson is #1. He is classy, tactful, gracious, intelligent, fair, and 110% qualified to be our next District Attorney!

In Sacramento if ballots were post marked after saturday they were marked invalid and if they were not recieved by the time counting started they are marked invalid what is Lake County's policy . Seems like hoppy has been filling out ballots and that is why we have not heard from him .
 

This is the Lovelace group: Hello everyone, we want to put up an overview of what we see as happening over the next couple of months. Right now what you are seeing is a lull in the activity, this is very typical and will be this way for a month or so, as people take a breath, and then begin the ramp up for the November final.

The comments on all local media will slow down, the hit rates on all local media will slow down, summer is upon us and vacations as well as outdoor activities will increase. So the overall activity level will slow for a bit. The debates will re-spark interest in the sheriffs race, and the majority of the attention will be focused there. The DA's race will not be near as intensive with Hoppy out of the picture. There will be no change to either of the races because of the continued counting of the late absentee ballots, despite LCN.s attempt to make it seem so for their man Hopkins.

LCN and the Record Bee will have to be very cautious during this next run as they were exposed pretty bad as Mitchell supporters during the first phase ending on the 8th. So it was good work by the citizens to soften up these two bias media outlets. They will be quite cautious now.

If you want a Lovelace prediction on the November election, we see Frank coming in at the low 60's and Mitchell pulling up in 2nd to Rivero. Now that is just a stab at numbers but we suspect it will be somewhere in that ballpark, if that is if, all of us continue to do our jobs work hard and attack Mitchell at every step of the way.

That's our initial overview, let us know what you think.
 

So you hold officer Rivero to what oath? So he can be slandered and can't defend himself? He was to obey a order from Mitchell? the one person calling him everything but white. He obeyed his oath to us the citizen, by reporting dishonesty in the sheriff department. That's what honest cops do. So I will vote for his actions over all the others I have seen. For me the rank and file have said more about them than they did about officer Rivero. I"ll vote for officer Rivero and I will tell you why, I have lost respect for Mitchell and his oath to hide for the board of supervisors, that would hide for dishonest employees.
 

What about the DA race? Anderson 60 / Rhoades 40... or a massacre with Anderson pulling 80 and Rhoades 20...???

Sharon Leuzinger vs. Lake County filed 4: 2006 cv00398 for job discrimination. We are working on the details of this case, and will post the information as soon as we get it.

There is also the fellow Anthony Howard vs. Lake County & Mitchell who is represented by Russell Robinson who claimed 42:1983 Civil Rights "Employment Discrimination"

Although we do not know all the end results of these cases, they again point to the massive number of case that are hammering Mitchell and the County on a regular basis, and yes corruption supporters in far greater numbers then what the norm is.

We will post follow ups as we get information on these and other situations we are working on. It should be noted that there are several cases pending, some with lawyers in town over the weekend, we will post on those situations as the information comes to play.

We are also working on the Jail suicide we all know about, and there has been a lock down on information from the families lawyers and the DA is trying to run interference, We will update you on this situation as we get information.

it is going to be a fun next few months in Lake County folks, keep up the good work and keep gathering the information and sending it to us. We have been contacted recently by a few folks on the inside, we will hold that for now, but it appears that with the Mitchell loss to Rivero in round one, the people are starting to feel safer in going after Rodney.

What???? the registrar of voters failed to count almost 4 thousand votes? Right on the front page of the RB. And now the DA's race is up in the air? Who the hell is minding the store? The article said the Sheriff's race will probably stay the same. How can anyone know with 4 thousand votes uncounted? Is anyone going to look into this failure by the registrar of voters? The citizens need to know who screwed up, and how.

All races and results will be the same, the trend lines are established and nothing is going to change, with the exception of both the RB and LCN, dreaming that their boy Hoppy would make it back, and sorry it ain't going to happen. Nice try though. ;-)

Hey, who is going to monitor the counting this time? I don't care what the trend is, that's a lot of votes out of a total registered. I think we should also find out how this could happen. And where were the missing votes found. could they have been tampered with???
 

Once you have 2/3rd or more of the ballots counted, it is nearly impossible to change the trends, as they are all absentee and absentee give the trend in the early stages, there is not enough of a "stronghold" effect to change the results. Sorry hoppy, sorry Katy, sorry John and Liz it ain't going to happen.
 

Oh you can bet both Anderson and Rhoades are watching real close.
 

Come on you guys. With Absentee Votes coming in they need to be post marked no later than the election date to be counted. Provisional Votes have to be verified in order for them to count. Mine is a provisional vote and it is for Rivero and Anderson, but I did not realize when you move although you still have the same mailing address that you need to re-register. These last minute votes were not planned it always happens this way! The registars office seem to very conscious folks and they do their job well, lets stop pounding on them. Although I would like to know who is doing the counting and will it be supervised by both parties!
 

FYI- Middletown Parade will be held on 6/19 10am. Now we all know this is Riveros ground, but eventhough we would like to see as many who support him out there and following his car in the parade. Its to my understanding that Mitchell supporters are gearing up for this day and are having as many LCSO and their families their doing this also. Inside info from LCSO says, Rob Brown will be pulling his Flat Bed Peterbuilt in the parade and will be having the kids ride on it. Also, Rob Brown will be holding a fundraiser for Mitchell at his home on 7/11 $50 a person. So this answers alot of doubt for alot of you, Rob is in bed with Mitchell and needs to be watched even closer than he already is! 4X

Well we know that about Robby boy, but the problem is he is costing Mitchell votes, it is a bad bedfellow for Rodney, the one person in this county you do not want helping you is is Rob Brown, but let's not tell him that eh. He has the potential to loose Mitchell a lot. The next election is not going to be about money it is going to be about literally knocking on doors, If all those that did not vote this time around with all the press and all the signs, then they will not vote this time no matter how much money you spend, it is shaking hands and getting to those 20,000 that did not vote. Whoa, inside register folks are saying that as the absentee's are continuing to be counted, Mitchell and Hoppy are losing even more ground, it appears that as Rivero and Baxter gain votes, Mitchell is now at risk of falling to 3rd, remember Baxter was within 4 % of Mitchell at one point on the 8th. These could for some reason,be Baxter Rivero voters coming in and Mitchell is risking being out of the running...It would take a lot, but god that would be funny. Hoppy continues to loose ground, so no chance for him on these extra votes. Just thought you would want to know.
 

I would be willing to go over there and take my shoes off if it would help with the counting.

Great section in the article on the Manifest, I think this is exactly what happened.

One of the recommendations from the report is a civilian review board. This term has arisen in our Lake County elections from the mouth of Francisco Rivero. However, the Lake County Board of Supervisors has been slow to support this idea. The reasons why can be linked to many local factors, not the least of which is the eagerness of BOS members to please and garner approval (and to avoid punishment, possibly) from our current sheriff. The relationship between the LCSO and the BOS has become far too close over the years, and Mr. Rob Brown exemplifies this.
Over the years, Citizens like Phil Murphy and others have tried to take Rob Brown and the sheriff to task, but always to no avail. Years went by as the buddy-system expanded, and the BOS became more and more paralyzed by the habit of their inaction.

The time has come for a new sheriff to take his position. In future years, the people of this county will be able to look back and place the blame for the costs and the lawsuits and the pain squarely on the a reactive BOS that to date has not had the insight to proactively care for the citizens.

Let this be a lesson learned!

I've known Don Anderson for several years now. I can't think of a better D.A. He handled a matter for my family before running. He was patient, thoughtful and professional. Don is welcome to our home anytime. I recently voted for Don and will vote for him again in Nov. Don will touch many lives.

I'd say he is doing a fine job! Out pounding the pavement, speaking with the citizens of Lake County, laying foundation for when he takes office. Unlike Mitchell, who hides behind bushes, sits in his office and neglects his job unless of course he is busy at move cover ups!
 

I overheard an RB employee tell someone Thursday evening that "they found like 3,000 ballots that hadn't been counted yet because they'd been misplaced or set aside accidentally". "Misplaced/lost" or "forgot to count" ... I doubt it's just symantics. Where we they really?
 

244 Happens every election when people realize they haven't mailed their ballot and then dropped off at the polling place where it's then delivered to the election dept still sealed to be counted later. The other issue is the provisional ballot that anyone who claims they did not received a ballot for instance because they moved, it to would need to be verified as to the person being registered and not having more than 1 ballot. 3766+536=4303

Rob brown is very friendly with the electionss dept. He volunteers his time to make sure the count is correct.
 

Also, Rob Brown will be holding a fundraiser for Mitchell at his home on 7/11 $50 a person. He speaks about "new ideas" from both candidates. I was at all of the debates. Not once did I hear of any "new ideas" from Rod Mitchell. His entire presentation and campaign stands upon the fact that none (new ideas) are needed, everything is working and has been working just fine and dandy. I do agree to some extent with his comment, "It is my hope that the next phase will be conducted professionally, staying on the issues, avoiding personal attacks." But that is a difficult one, for many of "the issues" have been "personal" due to Rod Mitchell's conduct.

Jack Baxter is a class act!!! I did not vote for him, he was late to enter the race. I voted to Frank Rivero. Mitchell has no new ideas. HE was told in 1995 how to save us (the Taxpayers MONEY tens of thousands of dollars) and how to be fair to ALL Employees of the Sheriff Department. Mitchell FAIL to lead the S/O. He protected his close friends (butt kissers). He let some Officers commit workers comp fraud (BIG retirements tax free for LIFE). I called Mitchell six times to report things, NOT ONE TIME did he (or any one else called me BACK, not once) Mitchell has NO leadership abilities. Mitchell was a failure as a Deputy, a Sergeant and today as Sheriff !!!! Do I need to day more, MITCHELL IS A FAILURE PERIOD !!!!!!

This is the Lovelace group, we have an overview we would like to post this afternoon. Essentially we have had several conversations and gotten some interesting information we are going to pass on. As we had indicated there is going to be a lull in activity as everyone takes a breath enjoys the weekend, and begins to set the game plans for the upcoming next few months. For our group we have been working on getting a assessment of what the Mitchell camp is up to, and their current condition.

Robby Howe are you out there? Hello Mr. Howe, lets straighten out a few items for you. As you know and as we know, you are under the impression you have gotten an idea of how we run this site. First no Mr. Howe there are not 3 6 hours shifts manning the site. Yes we do know alot about you what you are doing each day who you talk to, and what you are talking about. It is fair to say at this point with who we have in place and where they are, you are not doing anything unless we know about it. You should keep that in mind. Now, you and and some of your buddies, have come to other conclusions that frankly caused us a good laugh today. We are going to let you go down the current road you are on in regards to who you think is the "main" guy on this site. In fact we like the conclusions you have come to and want you to keep heading in that direction, full speed ahead Mr. Howe, full speed ahead.

We understand that for the most part Mitchell is kinda locked up in his office and is not in the best of spirits. Listen Howe here is the deal, the party is over, the sooner you realise this and make your plans the better off you will be. You and yours are quite nervous right now and a bit angry, We would caution you to keep that anger under control. Each and everything you do is being watched right now to a degree far greater then what you may think. Tell Pat that as well.

You are going to have a choice to make in the very near future, so will some of your closet perceived allies. The choice is this, tow the line, change and stay in the department. Or start setting plans for what you will do outside of lake County, we prefer the latter, but the choice is yours.

You will have no effect on this Blog, no effect on the new newspaper, this change is coming there is nothing you, or Brown, or Mitchell, or Borgi, or any who are a part of this network can do about it, you have had your run, that run is ending. We have planned this very carefully, while you were taking pictures of illegal Helo flights we were planning. While you and your friends were oblivious to what was coming, we were setting the stage, you were discovered a long time ago to be a main player in keeping the Mitchell collusion and power base in place. Again that is ending now.

A last word of caution, watch yourself very carefully, the moves and actions you take right now and over the next couple of months will either open the doors to options for you, or close those doors and leave you very few options. We will say this in closing, we have 6 pieces of information and two pending concerning you. We are holding those close for now. But be aware this is not a game, this is real and we are playing for keeps. Watch you steps very carefully, and don't be surprised if those you think are safe are not.
 

I would totally disagree with the "dummy" assumption. I do believe that many individuals know why people choose Baxter over Rivero and/or Mitchell. For me it's multiple conclusions as to the shift, if you will, to Baxter. He was a very nice man to start with. Personable, funny and lighthearted. Those too are the qualities of Frank, but it was seen less often for he was on a defensive campaign....and justifiably so to most people. However that did not win him votes, it, in my opinion, removed them to Baxter.

I continue to listen to Frank. The more I do, the more respect I develop for him as an individual. He's a honest, kind and caring person. Today I know deep in my heart that he will be an incredible force of positive change within this department, setting a standard of integrity, care and concern, inclusive of the community. He will be there for the community having town hall meetings. Listening to individual concerns. He has the strength and the energy needed to effect the changes that are necessary

Baxter voters are not dummies! I trust them to look, listen and reevaluate, prior to marking their Nov. ballots There is more to Frank than the time frame offered. We've already seen Rod X 16 years!
 

Nice post and very accurate in your overview Lenny. There is no doubt that the great majority of those people who decided to vote for Baxter are solid and forward thinking people. We also believe they were quite justified in their decisions. We also think that as the next few months go by and those folks listen carefully to what Frank is saying, and the programs and concepts he is going to put into place that Frank will win their favor. And they have as we have said, by voting for Baxter put themselves in a 3rd man out position of power. Very close to Hillary in the Obama election, although she lost, she was close and was able to move policy that would be implemented in the Obama administration. Frank is sharp enough to understand this, and work closely with them and that can only be positive.

I have been a big supporter of this sight and Francisco Rivero. That being said I don't understand why Stamarines posts keep being deleted. Yes he is a Mitchell supporter and although I don't agree with most of what he posts I also do not find him to be offensive or out of line. When it comes to deleting posts this place is getting as bad as the record bee and lcn.

The reason is 8:00 is that Sta Marine if given leash simply re-posts the same thing over and over. We need constructive and important information and dialog. We left his post up yesterday, and then he comes on today and re-posts the same thing. We keep asking him to post something new, and to introduce new or pertinent information. He continues not to want to do that. We keep giving him opportunity and he keeps taking advantage of this forum. He says in the 804 post he seeks intellectual debate, however he never offers any substance to support his position. Now again we leave his admonition of 804 up, but it the same thing comes up then it begins to become quite boring and without merit.

The reason posts are deleted at times is because this forum has a very specific focus, and that is to bring down Mitchell, originally it was Mitchell and Hopkins, now of course it is Mitchell only the first half is done. If we do not keep a very close watch on the site it will succumb to scope creep and we will not be serving the purpose nor the important goal of finishing off Mitchell and starting the process of change. This is different then the postings on LCN and the Record Bee, their purpose of deleting is to protect their position, and their image. They delete to protect Mitchell or to protect themselves. We do so on occasion to maintain the purpose and clarity of the site. Hope that helps.

You delete his posts to also protect your position and your image. Granted this is a blog and not a news site, but I wonder if the same selective deletions will occur on the manifest if the comments as a whole on the articles do not support your position. I think a good solid intellectual debate would be very helpful here because there is always more than one way of looking at a situation and if the arguments are intelligent and make sense I am more likely to buy into your position if I feel there has been good discourse on both sides. Deleting his (StaMarine)articulate intelligent comments (even though they do not support your cause), while leaving up the comments of the idiots who support your position says more about you and causes loss of respect and credibility.

Well since you censored my post we'll never know what I said.

To say if you come to Clearlake someone would mug Jack Baxter or "us". Just who is "us"? Seems like your out of touch. Seems pretty snobbish to me. How can you be a leader of and for the people if your out of touch? Your speaking for Jack? I simply won't vote for him, but I have no ill will towards the man.

The CPD has come a long way. The Chief is top notch and so are it's officers.

Some of you folks comments reminds me of the movie Serenity. It's based on Joss Whedon's series Firefly. It seems like the Interplanetary Parliament, who just "wants to make people better" is trying to establish it's little controlling roots in Lake County.

In your post you go from insulting the citizens of Clearlake, the CPD and then you start on some tirade about Sheriff Mitchell calling him by his first name as if you know the man. Think for yourself.

Some of you know nothing about the way of life up here. You carry baggage from your previous places of residence. If you like Marin so much how come your not there?

For those who know me, I have come full circle since I first came up here. When I moved up here this place was sort of like a Rob Zombie movie. Hard work from people like Mitchell, the place is better. I was here. I was in law enforcement back then. It was pretty bad.

I challenge you to leave up my post. Fair is fair Navy.

As a young man growing up in Cuba I am sure he witnessed many crimes perpetrated by the communist manefesto and the mentality of those who were implementing its doctrine on the populace. He must have witnessed many horrors and misuses of power. Comming to the United States and becomming a peace officer is quite an achievement. This is one of the reasons I almost voted for him. Who knows, I may vote for him in the future. You just can't force it on the populace. Let it grow..

You are right when you say Beland filed a writ, but all that is in the file is the petition. There are no pending hearing, no court orders, etc. There has been no follow up on it, at least not in the court's file. If it has the kind of merit you all are implying, why has nothing else occurred? Like a poster above said, anyone can file anything they want. I am more interested in the end result. Anyone can "say" anything. It is quite another matter to prove it and I for one would like to see more proof.

Well the interesting thing post 451, it is in Belands case already a known on each and everyone of those incidents, that is the practice of unfair discipline is clearly shown by all of the incidents which Beland made reference to and this is known by the public. So lets ask you a question, an officer is with another officer and they get drunk, and they argue and one of the officers pulls his gun and shoves it at the throat of the other officer. That is dear friend a felony. That act is beyond, Misda. brandishing, and you know it and we all know it. Now if you want to go down the road of his punishment and where he is now, that will only further our argument. So ya Belands is a very significant case study, because it will bring to light numberous negative at time illegal and at best corrupt actions and activities of the sheriff.

You ask yourself, if it was me joe citizen in a bar with a known armed cop and I was arguing with him, and pulled a gun on him and stuck it to his throat, gee I wonder how it would have gone for me.

Baxter is out. He ran a very simple campaign that did not show an understanding of the deepness of the problems in the county. Of course he is a good man, and a professional, but we needed a fighter. A person who not only sees the failures of the sheriff's department, but other departments as well. The man who understands this, and will fight to bring honesty and transparency to Lake County government, is Frank Rivero. I really believe when he takes office (and I think he will), he will start a positive change that will create a domino affect in county government, starting with the sheriff's department. I feel this blog is correct in deleting any backing of Mitchell that does not also contain good reason to do so. Saying "he was good to me", or "he treated me well" doesn't cut it. It's his years of deteriorating the trust and openness that his office should have given to the citizens of Lake County. and look at the BOS, who should have been keeping Mitchell in check, instead of bowing to his whims. Oh yes, I still see those little inside barbs between bloggers that mean nothing to most of us reading this blog. Go somewhere else, and banter back and forth all you want. Don't waste this important space. Remember, the goal is to defeat Mitchell! Rivero for Sheriff!

Define real department.

Santa Rosa PD. Is that a real department? I got stories about vary similar incidents my fiend. I won't go into them because I have the utmost respect for their current chain of command, especially now that Salvatore is long gone. Basically an officer in Graton was drinking. A belligerent pushing match ensues. He pulls his weapon, no shots. Ok, he stays on the job. Becomes an FTO if I recall.

Another incident involving a DUI chase. An officer at Santa Rosa J.C Police. Gets drunk. Gets in his Comero. SRPD chases him out hwy 12. He goes around two Deputies in a ditch. Finally gets stopped Did he lose his job? No. Becommes an FTO.

San Rafael PD. Is that a real department? a Sergeant is using the bathroom. Shoots a hole in the bathroom floor. Nothing happens to him. They name the stall after him. "So and so memorial stall" hehe...

Get over it. There's fine Law Enforcement up here.

Law enforcement officers that do not live by the laws they enforce are the scum of the earth and need to go . Law enforcement officers must be held to a higher standard and be accountable . When a Law Enforcement Officer commits a crime it is not personnel matter , It needs to be prosecuted .
 

Yep, that's a certainty Clark, and that's exactly how he broke his election oath. He knows the people, they support his campaign and he failed to disavow the behavior on his behalf. The oath is very clear but Rivero refuses to do it any way but his own in spite of his oath.
That does not make for a good leader, that is the hallmark of a megalomaniac and it's been well established. Just notice how his campaign couldn't retain a manager and how he lost powerful support he could have used because he just can't accept advice.
This is his site, has been and always will be associated with him. It doesn't matter how many times Ollie (bruce et. al) tell the lie, the truth will always be there.
As more evidence, this post will likely vanish shortly and because there are so few actual people on it only Rivero's insiders will read it and as a result post again and again that he's not connected. Problem is, you just established it yet again.

This is the second time I have seen the comment that Rivero can't retain a manager of his campaign. That is one of the many lies that have been stated in your post. Do you, as a Mitchell supporter believe that it is appropriate to continue to lie just because that is the way Mitchell has run his life and his time as Sheriff?

Well 11:13. You can say what you want, but I personally heard Rivero disavow this blog, in front of many of his supporters. I even brought it up, and asked about something on the blog, and he emphatically answered that he doesn't read it, and would not pay attention to any blogs that are anonymous, because he said that anything can be said without being substantiated. And, hey, how do you know so much about him, except to be his adversary. I know him personally, and have had many discussions with Frank, and I call you a liar. He does not have to disavow something that he has no contact with. Of course he knows people who probably go on this blog, but not because he has any connection to it, but because those people, like many others want to have him as our new Sheriff. Your accusations are baseless, and sound just like they came out of the mouth on Mitchell. Rivero IS the good guy.
 

perhaps he is a good guy, then tell him to get his honest hard working self back to his job instead of letting all the other guys and gals do it for him, been nearly 6 months since he suited up. Seems to be too lay back to want to be in Law Enforcement. Can't back a back slidder. I work hard for My paycheck and carry my own weight at my job right now he is not what I would call a good LE deputy. He has no idea what is going on he is too busy working on his rental.

I have a question that maybe the Lovelace group or someone out there can answer. Mitchell was caught cheating on his wife and he even acknowledged it. I can care less if he cheats on his wife or screws every woman in the county but answer me this..

When he did this, did he use his department car for those visits? Was any of those meetings during regular hours? I want to know if public funds were used for his affair.
 

There has been a lot of banter concerning the time off that Frank Rivero is taking during the campaign. First of all this is a true sign of his dedication to the citizens of this county. Frank is off work without pay. He requested the time off with Mitchell, who granted that request. Now we know that Mitchell really did not have much of a choice, in that he could not refuse that as it would appear that he did it for his own benefit. This is with out pay, and one would suspect it has been a real financial hardship for Rivero and his family.

The respect he deserves for this and the sacrifice he is making serves to show his dedication to the citizens and how strongly he feels about help this county and its citizens.
 

Yes many of the "activities" of Mitchell's have been done with public money, his car has been seen at locations and peoples houses, we all know this to be the case. However the fact that this is the case is the most important information. No one is going to be able to prove public monies spent and be able to move anything forward in this regard. So the important point is we and the public know it is true, and that fact is enough to taint his image and his MO.

1-No, not all cops are trouble. LOL. Your killing me. Stop..

2-The hypothesis was made that "if it were to happen in a real department" each officer would have been charged if the DA did his job.

LCSD is a real department. A fine one. What type of satisfaction do you want? Do you want to see the officer(s) paraded through town in shame, locked up. What would make you happy?

The fact that they are not prosecuted means little. Many arrests are made where the suspect is released and the DA does not file charges. Dirt bags walk all he time.

I remember things before Mitchell and he cleaned house. He holds Deputies to task. He encourages them to be proactive, instead of sitting around and waiting for the calls to come in.

First it is an excellent report of the Writ of Habeas Corpus, a very important and long existing writ that we believe may be circumvented far to much in our local jails. This report will also serve to let you know we are not just here to work on the defeat of Mitchell, nor are we here for the elections alone. We are looking into all aspects of our local government from the jail to the BOS There are many issues related to a lack of transparency that must be addressed. In the case we will post next, you will see where the Writ was just used effectively in securing an individual from our local jail with medical issues and others associated with his case. Judge Steven Hedstrom officially released Kelly Thomas from the Lake County Jail stating Thomas “won’t be in custody until I’ve dealt with the petition for the Writ of Habeas Corpus. (CR 922651)
“His very life may be in danger” when in the jail, stated Judge Hedstrom.
Thomas, the petitioner has been serving a 180 sentence in the Lake County Jail, and has filed numerous inmate grievances concerning his breathing machine, inadequate medication, inadequate hygiene facilities, and lack of transportation to a family law court appearance.
Thomas has special needs, which were discussed in court before his incarceration, according to background information discussed in court June 11.
“The petitioner (Thomas) was deprived of vital medical supplies that jeopardized his life for 10-11days.” (page 3)
According to the writ, Thomas suffers from sleep apnea, and filed a grievance when the hose to his breathing machine was leaking, preventing him from receiving adequate air to breathe during the night. It took 11 days for Thomas to receive a machine that worked, according to Thomas’s Public Defender John Hinely.
“Furthermore, any reasonable person could make the determination that if a vital “part” of the machine, necessary to prevent serious injury or possible death to a person, would take more than one day to acquire, but an entire new “machine” would take only one day; then the best alternative would be to replace the entire machine. This did not occur and jail medical staff elected to wait approximately 11 days to fully replace the part.”
Medication is also an issue in this writ. “When an inmate is in custody of a county, state, or even a federal penal institution; the government has an obligation to provide medical care. In this matter, the Lake County Jail is not even supplying the water to Mr Thomas’s CPAP breathing machine. Instead, the Lake County Jailo requires that family members bring in gallon jugs of water to be used in the machine.”
Other medication problems occurred that involved kinds of medicine and adequate dosage of pills.
A hygiene issue is also part of this writ. Thomas filed a grievance when “the shower attachment was not operational because there was no plumbing fittings to attach it to.”
“It was not until approximatrely 23-25 days after his incarceration and a conversation between attorney of record John K. Stinely and Alisha Stottsberry, that this situation was resolved.” (page 8)
Although Thomas and his wife requested transportation, the Lake County Jail staff did not transport him to a family law matter.
John Hinely, Thomas’s Public Defender, writes in the file that he has subpoenaed Thomas’s medical records for June 11, 2010. Judge Hedstrom scheduled a four hour hearing for July 9th, at 8:15 AM to deal with this matter.
A Count Counsel attorney attended this June 11 court event, but did not speak publicly. According to Hedstrom the matter was discussed privately twice that afternoon in front of the judge in private chamber
 

We say again and we will keep saying it from every corner,these types of actions must stop, we as a community must be open compassionate and forward thinking. We Have Mr. Mitchell on tape which we will release the transcripts of at our timing, where he calls some of the people coming from mental health "Crazies" and several times, this attitude, this Neanderthal approach to our community is (with permission) bull shit, and, it will be changed. We can no longer allow those entities to ruin our community, to hurt our tourism, and tear holes in the fabric of our potential as a county.

I'm a woman who has been here since the early seventies, I have seen alot go on around here, been through alot and just recently decided to get involved in my community, now that my kids are grown. Every County along with States have their share of problems. I for one, am done with the BS that has been going on within this county for numerous years. Most stories start out with Once upon a Time. That includes the Mitchell stories. The same with the Hopkins stories, and you see where that has landed him, yes OUT! I will not stop the mission of Mitchells removal. Sounds to me that your anger issues need to be addressed, and so before you do something that we might call stupid deal with them in a appropriate fashion. This has happened before at the jail. There's a doctor in Lakeport, named Dr. White; I don't know if he is still here in Lake County. An inmate was denied his breathing machine. He developed sores all over his arms, couldn't breathe, and couldn't sleep. He needed the machine for his asthma. He almost died. Dr. White saw this man, finally, after the inmate pulled a knife out from the kitchen drawer in the jail kitchen, threatening everyone if he didn't get some medical treatment. That's when they brought him to Dr. White. Can't remember the inmates name. Lake County jail has a long history of inmate neglect under Mitchell's watch. Please vote this guy OUT!
 

Damage Control is never a easy job, especially when the damage has been taking place for so long. No-one believes that Francisco will be able to resolve all the issues that sit awaiting him caused by the current leadership. This will take time, alot of hard work and team work. The citizens have faith in Francisco, they believe in him and most of all they trust him to do the right thing. From the time our New Sheriff takes office the citizens will no longer turn a blind eye. They will be watching at all times, they will be more involved, and they will not allow LCSD to deminish any longer.

Boy SM, you really have it in for Rivero. What has he done to you?? By the way, he received a multitude of commendations in San Francisco. As far as running the Sheriff's Dept., He not only has the police background, but three years as a Sheriff's deputy up here. Is he sharp and intelligent enough to do the job? Well, besides his police background, he achieved a captain's rank in the U-S Coast Guard, and ran, for many years a large business very successfully. Now, I would say anyone accomplishing this after immigrating from Castro's Cuba, is a very sharp, intelligent man, and up to the local task of cleaning up the garbage that has been piling up for sooo many years, that many local citizens haven't had a clue about it....until Lovelace and its bloggers uncovered the stench. And how about Mitchell's (I would say) illegal refusal to end the charge against Rivero? It has been so long, that I am surprised an outside agency has not come in to investigate his blatant disregard for the normal policy of starting and ending an investigation in a timely manner, especially during his running against the man he is accusing. It is so improper, it really shows how weak (and corrupt) the BOS is, in not telling Mitchell to do his job and end this fiasco. Rivero for Sheriff

Mitchell reminds me of former Orange Co. Ca. Sheriff Mike Corona. Larry King called Corona " America's Sheriff". like Mitchell, Corona had many affairs and wasted millions of tax dollars. Deputies working in the Jails were allowed to watch T.V., talk on cell-phone, watch dirty movies, all on the Counties Dime. One night eight inmates attacked another inmate and killed him while the Deputies watched T.V., and dirty movies.

The Orange Co. Grand Jury investigated the inmates death. and BOY did the finger pointing start. The BOS blamed the Sheriff, The Sheriff blamed the BOS for his lack of staffing,. Several Deputies lied to the Grand Jury, and were fired. Corona was convicted last year in Federal Court for "witness tampering" and was sentenced to TEN years in Federal Prison, he is appealing his Conviction. Orange Co. has paid over FIVE millions dollars to settle law suits out of the Jail. Corona was called "America's Sheriff," Mitchell is called America's WORST Sheriff.

As is now commonly known, Sheriff Mitchell hung a manslaughter charge around the neck of an innocent man in a failed and obvious attempt to save Russell Perdock’s chief deputy job. Because I’m running against him for sheriff, he allowed a false allegation of sexual assault to hang around my neck in an obvious attempt to save his own job.


The most powerful position in local government is the sheriff. A smart sheriff takes steps to treat all matters in a timely, fair and honest way and ensures his actions are as transparent as possible to avoid the appearance of wrong-doing. This is not the case with Sheriff Mitchell, who is using his power to gain political advantage in his re-election campaign.


This is politics at its worst – the dirtiest kind of election campaign tactics. I felt I must bring this to your attention for the sake of truth and to defend the good name of my family.


It’s very clear that since April 6, Sheriff Mitchell had declarations from witnesses exonerating me from the Jan. 7 charges. In fact he has, in hand, a report from his independent investigator completely exonerating me from all of Mrs. Rully's allegations. This entire matter could have been concluded months ago by simply talking to the two witnesses on scene. It is not unusual for peace officers to become targets of false complaints during arrest situations; it is unusual for an investigation to take so long.


After much pressure by me and my attorney to reveal the truth, I received a May 20 email from Lake County Sheriff’s Captain Cecil Brown who writes, “I can tell you though that the independent investigator has determined that the allegations Mrs. Rully made regarding the day of her arrest cannot be sustained.” I am cleared, but still no word directly from Sheriff Mitchell. Why no word and why so long? This was just another political tactic, pure and simple. Sadly, something we’ve come to expect from Sheriff Mitchell.


As we all know, justice delayed is justice denied. It’s bad enough that Sheriff Mitchell has decided to visit his abuse of power and control on me, a competitor for sheriff, but he has a long history of making unscrupulous, self-serving decisions. The good citizens of Lake County have paid heavily for his decisions, and his next target may you, a family member or a dear friend.


This has to stop and is why I am running for sheriff. Knowing what Sheriff Mitchell and his inner circle are capable of makes it hard, but I will not back down and hope I can count on your vote to make the changes needed in the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
 

Without anger and animosity is the reason we face this mess now. Those that cried in the wilderness, with little attention to the reason they were upset.With no outrage from the citizens over how the bureaucrats treated one of us. So the dishonesty compounds itself. The system became for them because we would move on, get a life. Then there is a personal matter to overcome. we the citizens are as responsible as Mitchell and Hopkins. Put a stake in its heart.Get them out of office and remove the dishonest. Am I mad? You bet. They would use our government as their toilet and the citizen as their paper. My anger will ebb when phony Tony Farrington,Flush Brown and lying Mitchell are gone.Karma has got Hopkins,Lewis. I have wrote Mr.Brown our attorney general and informed him that a oversight has occurred in his department, that this local government needs looking at. That it was his duty to look into dishonest bureaucrats as he would look at other enterprises that were corrupt in this State. 1055 you are I suspect asking a bit to much from a person who has not been elected yet and won't be in office till January. I would suspect that would be the time to begin to bring those types of specifics and detailed facts fully documented to the new sheriff. Until then there would be very little to nothing a person simply running for a office could, do. I would suggest that between now and January you take the time to put exacting and perfect details together with a chronological order and direct connections with absolute proof and named individuals together, without a single flaw in the facts and details. Once you have that you then could bring that forward when there is actually a sheriff in place.

WHO is Sheriff? Then again, that is an issue just swept under the rug like Mitchell's infidelities and his cover up. Mitchell didn't act alone. Perhaps its the "just men doing what men do,.." routine for which there is no value on women or children or a man with honor and integrity but hasn't joined the ranks of the rich and shameless. That would be my guess. Child porn and the abuse of women is the cancer of our community that needs looked at and frowned upon. Lying and cheating and stealing with murder and mayhem as entertainment should NOT be the norm.

I think the correct answer was already given. Mitchell is going to give you nothing. That is a done deal. If it were me I would do the same as already posted. Put together an exact and detailed overview of all the specific facts, with every T crossed. Exact times, dates, people, license numbers, who what when where. The more factual detail the better. Then when the new administration is in place come forward with all you have. If you have exact and specific facts and incidents, down to the minute and the people all layed out and documented then you will have a way to go.
 

The new article is up on the Manifest, concerning the Writ of Habeas Corpus, it is an interesting story, about a man recently released from our local jails. There is a lot of work that needs to be done when Mitchell is gone with the operations of our jails.
 

Just a little statistical information for everyone, since we started the Blog site and through to the creation of the newsppaer, we have had nearly 300 inquiries into who the site creators were and are. Of course we never listed any information from the beginning as to our true identities, but we found it interesting that a lot of corruption supporters and others have tried to inquire about who we are, from all the way back in September of 09. I think we sense a bit of paranoia in good old Lake County....Hmmmmmmmm wonder why?

I would say the reason for the paranoia is a direct result of articles and information such as I just read on the Manifest concerning the writ of Habeas Corpus. We will be watching Mitchell and his antics very very closely, we now already several of the PR stunts he is going to try. We will see constant "good deeds" reported by the bias local papers, we will see an increase in the sheriffs department reporting of the great things they are doing. Oh you remember like the big Meth lab the dummy Katy reported on, which turned out to be a single guy in a 10 x 10 shed trying to cook a spoon full!!! LOL yes Mitchell is going try all these little tricks, of which we will attack every single one, and we will throw out 2 negatives for every false positive he tries to put out there.
