post 9:01, look at this site,l it advertises for Anderson and Rivero, but deletes anything related to Baxter, Hopkins, Mitchell, or Rhoades. Something to think about. And now this site has an online newspaper, so are they going to give equal advertising? What is the difference between this site and any other news source? Shouldn't this site play by the same rules they want everyone else to play by?

Don Anderson did get a permit. I know the architect who drew the plans.I went to the job site and gave Don some advice. I talked to the building inspector about Don's job. It was a difficult job and at least one contractor was let go for poor performance. He was stopped by the building inspector. Just more campaign bulls*#t.

I'm in the middle of construction on MY home. If you would like, while your at the court house you can read MY case that Borghesani spoke about, case number CV404404. Thank you for coming on and posting. We know this must be having a terrible effect on you. We are still wondering if it is Hopkins or Rhoades throwing this stuff out. We would appreciate you thoughts on it if you feel you can, if not no biggie. But we do appreciate what you are saying, and understand, we all are looking forward to the end of these elections. I see the Record Bee is running an article in tomorrows paper about Don's debt issue. It is now over on LC RB topix. Jen, you should post something over there too. Don needs to get a rebuttal over there also. No doubt LCN will be jumping on it next. I used to think Borgi was a nice guy but I am starting to wonder. Bad debt is a great business write off, so Borgi's not out a dime and Piedmont has NO room to talk! Fire, Fire, Fire!

What the hell is going on with the Bee, why is the media trying to go after Anderson so bad, did something happen???? Listen this story is small potatoes. there are a thousand things like this going on in the county or actually anywhere. This isn't even close to front page stuff, actually it would never be in the paper if they were not trying to go after them, what the hell is going on. Does Borgi have this kind of control over the Bee. Ya and people laugh when we talk about the "elitist network" it's there and it's not pretty. This is a shame the Bee has stooped this low. Boy LCN is down and out and the Bee is going down fast as well!!!

Let me guess... nobody else has ever disputed a debt? Give me a break! This is obviously a smear effort because one or both of Anderson's opponents are scared! This "story" has no place in a campaign and shame on the Record Bee for running such nonsense. Don Anderson made it clear several months ago that he would not run a dirty campaign. He must be aware of the indiscretions of the other two candidates and yet he's not slinging any mud their direction! Debt or no debt, nobody and dispute the fact that Don Anderson is an admirable man who stands by his word. Unlike his opposition, Don will not drag anyone or their family through the mud for his own political gain. I think that speaks volumes!
 

Now that Don Anderson’s opponents have started to smear my name, and Kelseyville Lumber has made false statements, I find it necessary to publicize the truth. In 2005 I purchase 10 doors from Kelseyville Lumber for about $18,000. They were represented to be the high quality standards of Milgard doors with a lifetime warranty.

All the doors leaked at the first rain. For over a year and more than 30 calls asking for help from KV Lumber, they refused time and time again to help and stand behind their product. I asked for Mark Borghensani to personally come out to my home, but he refused. Finally, I told KV Lumber I would not pay the approx. remaining $5,000 balance until the doors were fixed. They immediately filed suit against me.

I was in litigation for about two years. During which time I found out the doors were not Milgard doors, but Feather River doors that someone had put Milgard stickers on. The doors leaked, chipped, warped and had other defects. We have tried to fix the doors, but they leak and continue to leak to this day.

On one occasion they worked on the doors, they assured me that they fixed the doors. I then completed the stucco and put down the flooring. The next rain the doors still leaked. It will now costs over $50,000 to fix the problem, money I do not have.

These are the reasons I will not pay KV Lumber. These facts are public record and can be found in the Superior Court files, case number CV404404.

More power to you. Cheaters don't care who they hurt, whether its the other spouse or the children they rip apart or the close friends they through under the bus. I have been on the side that has been cheated on myself. Wow what therapy this must be for you. I only wish I could make my ex's lovers squirm like you. This definitely shows his personal character. Kelseyville Lumber professes that we should shop locally and support the local economy, however if they don’t even back up there customers with defective products/doors and file lawsuits like that against their customers, doesn't that hurt all local businesses?
 

Dennis, I feel sorry for your pain. I listened to the audio also and felt very sorry for Becky. After setting aside the politics of the Sheriff race, I felt she did not desire being treated the way she was.

Mitchell needs to be replaced and never hold a public office again. It will take a man who also knows who supported Mitchell while in office and clean house after he is gone. That is why I vote for Rivero.
 

Mitchell just paid the Bee $5,000 in advertising in the event of a runoff. LCN will receive a similar amount. They both had a story ready to go on the cheating thing,now it's off the table.
 

Dennis we of course had heard of this from nearly the time we started this Blog, we reserved the exposure not knowing if that was something you wanted done. Thank you for exposing this small little man called Mitchell and the terrible and rotten person he is. We are sorry this happend to your life and to your family by the actions of Mitchell. I called a friend who is a real expert on doors and was told you could not have a flaw in design that would let 18 Feather River doors leak but bad installation could. Just another case of an excuse not to pay a bill.

Having been in Becky's position before (although my ex wasn't running for office, and I wasn't disabled), I can tell you that learning of past affairs is no easier than a current one; in fact, it makes you feel stupid for not knowing, and just plain dirty, for lack of a better word. At first, you feel like there are rocks in your stomach, and that your heart is literally going to break into a million pieces. Then the anger comes. There is NOTHING worse than infidelity. I really feel for Mrs. Mitchell; it's unfortunate that she is being hurt by her husband's actions, but that's his fault and no one else's. He has been through elections before, and should have known that his life would be put under a magnifying glass in the process. Because of this, he should be living above reproach, to protect not only his career, but more importantly, his family who depends on him.

For Rod to spout that he has such high morals just shows his lack of character, and makes us wonder what else he will cheat on -- (I can think of a few right off the bat - Perdock, Garzoli, parade sickness, the Wright fiasco, and the peanut gallery of 24 bad acts currently in the Courts, for starters) Is this the type of person that we want in charge of our law enforcement? I think not.

Alright a great day of posting we have been working on an article that will be coming out in the Manifest later today, but lets touch bases on a few items for today. First of all the reason LCN wrote a better article, and did not blast it like it was the starting of world war III is that they are starting to learn their lessons! Get your hand slapped enough times and you start to learn. You can only report so many lies and half truths and get beat up over it and eventually you learn your lesson.

As we expected we never got the answer from the Mitchell supporter who had the "Door expert" LOL but could not come up with his name or his contractor number. We caught him in a lie and nailed his ass this morning, guess he went away sorry his little scam did not work. try again next time asswipe.

Kelseyville Lumber sued me in small claims court over a $500. revolving charge account. As soon as I got the court notice I went and found Mark Borghesani at his new multi-million dollar facility and offered to go to work for him full-time or part-time, help with the grand opening, doing whatever needed to be done at any rate of pay until the charge account was paid off. But he chose the low road and pushed the law suit...How does that help the community???

Ok here we go just got done with a meeting with some of the troops lets get caught up a bit. Now lets talk about Borgi and K-ville lumber for a moment. First of all we stated a long time ago that Borgi was playing the citizens and we have proven it over and over. Remember his statement "We don't want your kind in "our" county", that is very telling isnt it. It speaks to the elitist network that is in place in this county and it is coming down, sorry folks it is coming down you can whine all you want about it we are exposing it and you have to face it. Borgi was asked point blank why he did not support Mitchell with his companies name. What about a sign out front for Mitchell. He said he did not have to. What we said to him was bullshit, you want all the citizens business and you don't want to risk it and you are trying to pull the wool over the citizens eyes while you take their money. That dear friends shut him up quick cause he knew it was true. Borgi,is not the sharpest stick in the old wood pile after a couple of conversations with him his true colors came through loud and clear. Now how about this conversation, we said "Borgi are you saying that your employees support Mitchell, the first thing out of his mouth was "yes they do"..We said really are you saying you can speak for all your employees in that way'....Silence..."No I am not saying that" and we said well we hope not, because we know of about 17 directly who ain't voting for Mitchell. Now we can go on with this conversation, but I think you get the point. We don't want to hear about Borgi, we know who he is and what he is about. Quick update on the site, we have been receiving more hits and comments then ever before, it has been an amazing month and the last 2 weeks have exploded on hits and comments. We are so thankful for the support, we had thought that by this point the numbers would start to level off, but it has not been the case the are still increasing in daily and weekly levels far beyond what we saw even a couple of months ago. Really amazing, and still growing, the new newspaper has been supported by so many people we cannot express how grateful we are to all of you for joining the cause. We are going to keep the pressure up till the 8th. We are hoping we can complete two interviews that are going to be barn burners, and hope to be able to accomplish this prior to the elections. A lot is going to happen in the next few days, time to pound some more coffee and go!!!!

For the past couple of days I have been reading blogs from those who question Don Anderson's character and ethics. It is easy to be a critic when all you know is what you read in the paper. I have known Don Anderson when he was a deputy and now an attorney. Let me tell you something about his character and ethics.

As a deputy he spent countless hours helping and protecting people only because he believed. He has held the burden of his friend and fellow deputy being gunned down, then being shot while apprehending his killers. Then being criticized by the public for not executing them. Thank God there were no bloggers back then.

Coming from a very poor family, he put himself through college and law school to provide a better life for his children.

He did not change when he became an attorney. A large part of his clients he represents for free. Especially the elderly, poor and minorities that can not afford an attorney. I have seen Don Anderson working countless hours volunteering for youth groups. He has put food on the table for many people who could not afford to feed their children.

Record-Bee censors word "Manifest", Flogs Dead Horse

Readers who frequent the Record-Bee section of Topix.com have found that a new word has been added to the profanity filter's lexicon. As of today, anybody typing the word "Manifest" into the comment engine will, upon posting, find the word replaced with asterisks by the site's profanity filter.

Profanity filters are a useful feature on internet sites. They are generally used for filtering words that are deemed inappropriate for mass viewership. Such words include Shit, Piss, Fuck, Cunt, Motherfucker, Cocksucker, and Tits. As editor of the Lake County Ma***est, I am honored and thrilled to be after Tits.

In another dazzling display of ineptitude today, the Lake County Record-Bee featured a hit-piece by Katy Sweeny as the leading headline in boldface. The article, titled "Bills Past Due", to a large extent parrots the out-of-county reporter Glenda Anderson's article in the Press-Democrat from May 28th, but with added fabrications.

The article, titled "Bills Past Due", criticizes Anderson for his late payment of his girlfriend's debts for defective merchandise acquired at Kelseyville Lumber. Rather than repairing or replacing the defective doors, Kelseyville Lumber brought the case to trial against Anderson's girlfriend, Jennifer McGee. Additionally, Piedmont Lumber has sued Anderson, who says that he intended to pay the settlement which the hardware store's credit manager says is now void.

Many contractors and homeowners feel that the quality of Chinese-made building supplies arriving in the United States has been steadily declining as prices are on the rise at hardware stores. Homeowners are increasingly finding themselves stuck with both faulty merchandise and an outrageous bill.

Featured in Sweeny's article is a quote by Mark Borghesani, manager of Kelseyville Lumber, who has accused Anderson of using his "position" and his "specialization" to get out of paying his bill. The article did not give any details pertaining to this alleged abuse of power, or which "position" Anderson had abused regarding his bill.

Sweeny is on the Law Enforcement beat for the Record-Bee. She has recently been criticized as being excessively biased towards the Lake County Sheriff's Office and their supporters. Some speculate that she is related to members of the department.

Piedmont and Kelseyville Lumber are both supporting Jon Hopkins' reelection campaign.

Well the attempt at hitting Anderson appears to have back-fired at the Bee and we assume Hopkins as well. The majority of the comments in the Bee are really hitting the Bee hard, a bad move on their part a bad move on Borgi's part, and I see real problems coming for k-ville lumber in the future. Anderson was smeared, his girlfriend stepped up to the plate, and the Bee does not look real good right now.

You know I was surprised that the LCN and the RB would write articles on Don Anderson's court case that was dismissed against a lumber company and the other story on Anderson's girl-friend's remodel and the 10 or so doors ordered/purchased from Kelseyville Lumber. I see this is nothing more than attempting to smear someone, it shows Anderson and his girl-friend had a valid complaint inwhich Kelseyville Lumber refused to exchange the doors. That's one reason why I want competition here so it limits the storekeepers from screwing the public.

Baxter is a nice guy and very experienced but he did state that he would only do one term. Baxter has not given a breakdown of what he plans to do (other than copy Rivero's plan). Than you have him jumping into the race late.

Rivero shows his anger not just for himself but on behalf of the people. It is the people who are upset about the Dinius case, Perdock, Garzoli, promoting persons with no leadership experience and personal retaliations on deputies. The people are mad as hell just like Rivero.

Anyone who thinks Jack Baxter is too old at age 66 or too boring just does not know him. Why not take the time to meet or talk to him and listen to what this man has to say. I found him to be a no nonsense professional with a great sense of humor and someone who is open to everyone. He is fair and reasonable and politically middle of the road and certainly no far right wing extremist or radical, quite the opposite. Once again those who freely make such statements do not know him and have never taken the time to really become informed.


He has stuck to the issues in this race and tried to avoid the hateful battles between the other two. He has often said he has no personal issues with his opponents but definitely disagrees with their leadership and management styles or lack of. He was a Sergeant in one of the most modern, progressive and professional departments in the nation. To lump them into what one blogger describes as brutal is wrong and again misinformed. He has a well rounded police career covering high profile units, supervision and management and he has extensive experience in major tactical planning an d operations.


Mitchell was a Sergeant when he was elected with less then four years in that position. Prior to that he was a deputy for four years neither of which was particularly well rounded considering the brief period of time involved. This man has bowed to the wealthy special interests his entire career while ignoring the everyday people of Lake County. He may have started with good intentions but power and arrogance have corrupted him and it has been demonstrated by his management of his office.


Rivero was a Police officer in the late 80's before going into the mortuary business. After a 15 year absence he came to Lake County as a Deputy where he has been for the past 4-5 years. Again no police supervisory experience with the exception of a brief stint as an acting supervisor for Mitchell. This man is angry and he hates his boss and the people he works with and he has often said as much. Running a funeral business is nothing like running a law enforcement agency.


How can one compare the experience of these three men and not see clearly that Jack Baxter is by far the most qualified and capable person to bring this department back to what is should be. Look at the real facts and not one candidates spin of the facts.

A couple of points to make, we have taken down the few posts that were campaigning for Baxter, we have already said this is not a Baxter campaign site, so don't bother, we have enough going on and cannot take the space to allow a bunch of Baxter campaign posting. He has a web page, or you can go to Topix and post till your hearts content on Baxter. We know enough to know he was not endorsed by us and we do not believe he is fit for the job.

My license number is 855439. It's public information, Einstein. I'm registered with the building dept. along with my liability insurance and worker's comp certificate. I have had 3 licenses, two of which are inactive, as I don't need 3 licenses. My first license was from the early 70's and started with the number 2. If you or your expert know anything about license numbers, you will realize that I was probably licensed before you were even born.

As all of you are aware we had a suicide in the jail recently, we are investigating the situation. Have found out the DA has told everyone at mental health to shut up and not say anything to anyone in media or otherwise! Hmmmmmmmm that is interesting, what might they be trying cover up...Oh I know I know it is standard procedure in these situations to tell people to not say a word. Why? who are they trying to protect and why?
 

Aww yes once again the department is undereducated. Many phone calls to the jail with FYI's about the inmate being suicidal, and why wasn't he looked after more closely? Yes, mental health keep quite so that no more bad publicity before elections on the good ole sheriff and his staff! Oh but wait, do I hear another newsbreak coming!

The Jail was designed and built with a suicide prevention cell. It has padded floor, walls, etc. Control room (staffed 24 hrs X 7 days a week.) Can hear into every cell. Cell checks are to be made every 15 Min, regardless. If he was housed in the suicidal cell, he should NOT have be allowed any
clothing, bedding, etc. My questions are: what part to the jail was he housed in? What cell #, at booking was a M/H referal made? I don't believe a Doctor at a Hospital, or Police Officers can't over rule a mental health professional when a person is suicidal.

Interesting X, that sounds like the system was in place and was not used. Bauman said clearly in the report he had been checked on 40 minutes prior to finding him, so no way he was checked every 15 minutes we know he was in the regular jails, not in a suicide holding cell, The M/H referral was made at the hospital by Pat, she was over-ridden by the SO's, and he was taken down to jail. This does not sound right to me!!!!

Pretty cozy don't you think? I would not want to use any other constructon or design engineering firm but his. With all the other faults you find with the county BOS do you find this to be a conflict of interest? This sounds like it might be something to hang your hat on with your new paper. It would be some real news to discuss. I wait for you answer.

Mitchell is at it again. To little to late and once again he scurries outside to do an internal investigation after the news breaks. Why can't he do his own investigation? Because no one trusts a man with his record of zero credibility and throwing his people under the bus.

If you think he's trying to run a clean professional office you are blind. He's covering his own tracks as usual and blaming everyone else for his do anything as long as you don't get caught operation.

Listen to him speak, everyone is guilty frmm the get go so lets get rid of them and everyone is going to forget about it. Does he think we are all stupid?

They should have been in place, But you know how Sheriff Mitchell works. He don't like career correctional officers that stood up to him. It appears a Correctional Officer failed to do his/her jobs. The family needs to get copies of all reports, classification documents, request slips, notes, etc, and one GOOD ATTORNEY for one hell of a law suit against Sheriff Mitchell and the County for failing to protect Mr. Hatfield for himself, for failing to follow minimum jail standards regarding Mentally ill Inmates, etc,. The D.A. wants less rumors from Correctional staff. It does appear to me that many violations have occurred. There are many U.S supreme Court rulings regarding this issue and Mr. Hatfields civil rights.

Hey Dennis, you and your son committed a felony and posted the evidence for the world to hear. Take a look at penal code section 632. Read the part about what constitutes a confidential communication and then think back to the part where you recorded yourself telling her that you only wanted to talk to her. Boy, you messed up and she is looking for a target for her fury. Word has it that mrs. mitchell has already contacted the authorities and an attorney. She plans on suing you and your son for whatever she can and having you and your son prosecuted. No doubt you are a man scorned, but you know what they say about hell having no fury like a woman scorned. You deserve whatever you get and then some. What kind of creep takes his anger out on a woman who was not involved in a cowardly act that was clearly intended to cause emotional trauma to a disabled woman. You may not be aware, but recording conversations without the consent of all parties is a crime in the State of Calfornia and can be charged as a felony. Since your son was obviously involved, I would think he faces some legal jeopardy too, criminal and civil.

Sadly, your commentary comes across as contrived and motivated by politics rather than emotional damage that may or may not have been done. I also suspect that someone may have put you up to these shenanigans. They certainly have a lot of trust in you not to roll over on them once the criminal investigation starts heating up. If it was me, I'd give them up in a minute to absolve my child of any criminal charges in what is most likely a conspiracy. And finally, one other legal point I think it's important to make; If you entered the residence or any portion thereof to obtain this recording you may have also committed a burglary.

Did the people who asked or paid you to do this tell you of the legal problems you might encounter?

6:14, the e-mail did not come from Jack Baxter's e-mail account, rather a dummy account that was set up to look like his and fool people. Now Jack certainly could have done that, but it seems out of character for him to do so. The poster at LCN made an obvious error, by adding the "e" at the end of Joaquin, like the e-mail had, and leaving it off the actual e-mail address.

So who is the obvious benficiary of both Baxter and Mitchell taking heat? There's only one person. Additionally, only recently did this person start posting under the name Dr Joaquin, so there again, it makes Mr Bramlett's shenanigans look contrived. The people that put Mr. Bramlett up to this aren't as smart as they think they are.
 

What makes you so sure someone put him up to it? And I doubt if any charges will be brought against Dennis or his son. Do the sheriff and his wife really want to dredge all this up again? Every time that recording is forwarded, reported on, played etc...Mr Bramlett's civil exposure increases. That it was done with malice, only makes it worse for him. So keep up the good work, digging him deeper in the hole he has placed his family in.

if lovelace were half the investigative reporters they think they are they would actually read the Penal Code section 632. In the section there is a provision for a civil remedy for taping without prior consent. I believe it refers to a civil rights violation. But then again, this is the lovelace group and facts don't mean nearly as much as gossip, innuendo, and half truths

9:01 the person taping has to ask for and recieve permission to tape record the conversation prior, once again because lovelace don't like no caps, prior to starting the taping. Notifying the other person after the taping has started does not excuse the act.and the circumstance of the taping is important. Where was he while he was taping, and where was she? And no, I have not listened to the tape because I don't care!
