April 19, 2010 8:33 PM. I have never been arrested, charged with a crime or even had a speeding ticket but I did get a parking ticket from Lakeport Police.

If you ask about Rivero, you must ask about Mitchell since he is the current Sheriff. How is it that LCSO waited four months before informing Rivero of the complaint? Is it not policy to emmediately investiate all complaints?

Why is it that not one person (including the Mitchell supports) believe that woman. If there were 17 other women abused by Rivero, than where is the 17 complaints? Why is there no injuries on her face? Where is the thee other females arrested by Rivero that day with blood on their face? I only saw 1 other female arrested by Rivero and she too had no signs of injury.

I never heard Rivero state his co-workers were corrupt, only Mitchell and a few managers. He did stay a few cops are racist. If Rivero is wrong, why not release the EEOC complaint? Oh thats right, it is becasue the EEOC complaint points out racism does run amuck at LCSO.

Your final question: "how exactly does a citizen complaint and civilian review board prove to be beneficial if they know nothing about law enforcement?" This review board is based on retired managers from law enforcement. Rivero uses retired DA Investigator Brown as an example. Remember, it was the people of SF and LA that made the citizen's review board permanent, not the cops or even the federal govenment (although the fed's started the LA board).

If Mitchell is elected, he will continued to mismanage his department. He still had not taken any actions against Perdock or Garzoli. Morshed, Bealnd and Wright were fired and now Mitchell starts and IA on Rivero almost 4 months after the woman filed it. The woman accused Rivero if a serious felony but Mitchell never took that complaint serously and that is why he waited 4 months to inform Rivero of it. How much more Bismark Dinius cases do we have to suffer. How more Garzoligates to we have to pay for. ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE AND THAT CHANGE IS RIVERO!!!

I want to Thank Lenny Matthews for going before the BOS today on Mitchells contracts for Heliocopter contracts! Although the BOS approved them 5-0 she was able to once again state the facts that Mitchells Department is and continues to be under scrutiny with these contracts. I believe she really hit a major nerve with Mitchell and he tried desperately to speak over her, yet Anita stated that she was well within the scope of topic and could continue. Shut Mitchell up quickly :) Now at least the public will take note of this broadcast and continue to keep this subject alive throughout Mitchells campaign if he has one lol

Lenny had some major points within her statement that you choose not to listen to. Its time you join Mitchell and start packing. Your getting old and so is your behavior. Listen we all know Brown is not the sharpest guy around, and it almost seems as if the other BOS members kinda cringe when he starts talking, he reminds one of Biden, a loose mouth, not to much of a quick study and unable to control his emotions. Brown doesn't notice it but when you sit and watch, you can just see the other board members tense up hoping he won't stick the foot in the mouth. he actually makes the board as a whole look worse then how the public already see's them. I suspect the board would be wise to see the current approval rate of our congress and senate which is a whopping 18 percent, and apply those same numbers to how the public currently views them. i.e. time to get the old head out of the sand, and listen to the public.
 

Ya isn't it interesting how the Board always profess's their concern that something is politically motivated by the citizens, but the majority of their actions are by far more politically motivated then they would want you to know. My gosh could you imagine if any BOS member actually checked the box for Mitchell in the voting booth. It would be stunning to see that level of ignorance and that in any of their own minds they would think that is the proper vote.

It is interesting to see how many of you think that political corruption is ever going to change. Here is an examply (documented) of how it works. About 5 years ago a local builder (Electrical contractor actually) built a home on a lake front lot that was zoned COMMERCIAL He got the building approved for the permit by calling it a Bed & Breakfast. He put in a few things to qualify it for a B & B like wider doorways, a smoke alarm system, commercial dishwasher etc etc. He than sold it. The person who bought it, when informed, by code enforcement that it had to be a B & B said, in public, and before many witness' You are crazy if you think that I bought it to run as a B & B." To make a long story short, She moved in and immediatly contacted a few members of the Lake County Board of Supervisors with her problem. Within 90 days, the Planning Commision held a hearing, REZONED the propery to Signal Family Dwelling, and all is well in paradise. The owner, who still lives there is non other than KATHY FOWLER.

So than, does anyone think that our BoS really gives a rats ass who is sheriff as long as the GOB political system is allowed to stay the same. And, believe it now or believe it after the election, not nearly enough folks know about "the network" and a huge percentage of them could not care less. Rivero needs to make a lot more noise and get a lot more headlines---quickly---if anything is going to change.

There is no doubt post 138 that the political corruption has deep roots in this county and of course in many places in rural counties and large counties as well. We do in a small county have an advantage of being able to expose far more to the public at large. you also are correct that the "message" has to penetrate much further into the understanding of the general public. Part of what we do is that very thing and part of what will continue to happen during this election is getting that word out to as many people as possible. Knocking on doors, getting the word out, exposing the corruption is part of the election process. Now of course the "network" has begun to be exposed by virtue of the Dinius trial, the Garzoli helo incident, Wright, etc etc. it is a process that must continue not only during this election, but long afterwards as well.

I was at the Rivero town hall, he did a great job, he is really serious and knows what he is talking about. He is going to have to school the BOS on how to handle the sheriff budget and change the expenditures into a whole different model. He was sharp, really sharp. I was at the Rivero meeting last night and my vote for him was confirmed. I brought a friend along who has not been following the election too closely and we now have her voting fot him as well. My thoughts now lead to Baxter. He is a viable third option for folks even if he has kept his campaign pretty quiet. I feel people with good intentions will vote for him because they know they do not want Mitchell but also might see Rivero as a radical. I am concerned about Mitchell winning due to votes being spit between Rivero and Baxter. Is there any chance he may bow out?

A major problem is Baxter. History has shown that when there is a three way race, the standing official always wins. That would be bad for Lake County.

I read the RB and LCN on the BOS approval of the DEA grant. I have found the one of only two positions I do not agree with Rivero. Legal or illegal, marijuana grows in the forest need to be shut down. I've seen the damage it does to the land, the gangs that carry weapons to protect the grows and the trash they leave. The point is to tax marijuana so how can you tax something that is being grown in the forest? People like to point Prohabition. To this date, federal and state cops still go after illegal stills and moonshiners. Even the History Channel did a recent show on this.

When marijuana becomes legal, build the business, tax it and sell it, but don't damage or parks to grow it.

I still believe in Rivero and that he will be a much better Sheriff than Mitchell.

With as low as Mitchells ratings with the public are, and understanding that much more is to come before the election, we could have a situation with Baxter and Rivero in a runoff, baring that the next most likely outcome is Rivero flat out hammering both of them on day one, party over and Rivero is your new sheriff, this appears to be the most likely outcome. The great fear of Mitchells is he does not know the numbers. He has never had anyone run against him and with his record of the past 4 years it does not bode well, so the Mitchell camp is squirming quite a bit right now.
 

And Rob Brown said it is Employee's error in judgement using the helicopter. When you commit fraud and steal money from the DEA, crash a helicopter you should not be flying and give Kiddie rides. Rob Brown it is more than Employee Error. It is a crime you can't cover up! It is beyond employee error!

I attended last nights town hall meeting and Rivero was direct, appeared forthright, and seemed to bond with many that he spoke with. NOW, if his handlers have any sense at all, they will insist LOUDLY that Mitchell debate him in a public forum. Where I come from, none of this is really heavy duty, kind of a light weight match if you look at S. F. politics. Rivero can beet Mitchell, easily, but as they say, it is his race to lose. THE PEOPLE who normally do't give a damn need to be motivated to give a damn. All the rethoric on this site is nice for the "players" they seem to have fun running each other down and making idiotic threats, but the AVERAGE citizen has no idea of what is going on and they need to get engaged.

Mitchell said the county would have to give the money back. “This is marijuana-specific funding that includes the spotting and eradication.”

Why can't Mitchell do an investigation properly and timely. Rully was arrested 1 1/2 years ago and not one scratch on his booking photo face. In January she files a complaint. She then gives in interview stating 17 other females complained about Rivero and three females arrested the same night as her had "blood all over them". The booking list showed only one other female arrested by Rivero and here is a "Shock", once again not a scratch on her book photo face (or blood drop). Not one other female comes forward to complaint about Rivero. Than, Mitchell waits about 4 more months to serve Rivero with an IA Notice and assigns the IA to one of the most inexperienced sergeant's in the department. It's now been 96 days of Mitchell's failure to resolve his politically motivated IA against Rivero. Does this stink or what?
 

Until the election,
Perdock will stay on leave and no action taken against him.
Garzoli will stay on Admin Leave.
Wright's case will not go to trial.
Brown will have no action taken against him for his knowledge in the Garzoli sexist remarks.

As of this morning two members of the Lovelace group of citizens went before the Grand Jury and gave testimony, we have been asked to not divulge the details of this testimony, we can tell you that these individuals testified concerning several locally elected public people involving different incidents and issues. There are also several other process's and agencies involved in other situations concerning these and other elected officials in our county. Our citizens group is determined to use all available means at the citizens disposal to expose and correct the corruption and at times illegal activities by our local organizations and individuals whom are the servants of the citizens, and whom we demand transparency and honesty to at the forefront of our local government.
 

Message sent to the BOS and to Mitchell and Hopkins by the Lovelace group


A "network" of people and businesses that have connections to the LE/DA and BOS and this network, is who the Mitchell voters and corruption supporters are. They see themselves as better then the average citizen, because they are "connected" in this network Mitchell has built around himself over the past 16 years. These people although they would profess how smart they are, really are quite ignorant and unaware of how much they are manipulated. These are the "static" votes Mitchell has always had in the elections. This group of people are part of the corruption, they are not part of the solution. One of these business owners said on the phone when being questioned about their support for Mitchell, "we don't want your kind in "our" county!!! Yo take me back to the old south why don't ya!!

In closing this correspondence we have two questions and or observations. Mr Hopkins you are under investigation by the state bar, you need to come forward and indicate this to the public at large, they have a right to know and you have an obligation to explain yourself, you need to explain the timing of when you knew and how you were notified. This is BOS members what we call transparency in the public eye. These things are not hidden away they are for the public to be made aware of.

Mr Mitchell you either need to charge Rivero or shut down the Rully IA. Period, if you think you are going to drag this out till the end of the election you have another thing coming, this we know was a major blunder on your part, and now it is coming back to haunt you. You as one of your last actions Mr. Mitchell need to do the right thing, you and your department are looking worse and worse in the public eye. We are watching this very closely. By the way our last correspondence indicated there was more to come, alas again we have the Hopkins investigation, and now we say again there is more to come, much much more, imagine how much better it would have been had the BOS issued a statement a long time ago to both Mitchell and Hopkins to step down. Imagine how highly the citizens would have seen this gesture. Or are the BOS only concerned with that elite group of citizens?

I thought the Rivero complaint was leaked through the LCSO office. Most people think that. As far as the vote on June 8th, I think you will realize the disgust the people of Lake County have for Sheriff Mitchell and DA Hopkins. This also was shown by the verdict at the Dinius trial. That was the first message sent to Mitchell and Hopkins. The second will be the election outcome.
 

Still no story in the record bee or lcn about the state bar investigating hoppy the clown . Very strange that old hoppy has not made a statement . If I was running for re-election and allgations came out against me I would call a press conferance and proclaim my innocence . (unless of course there is an investigation and I am guilty )

Langon's not there because he told Hoppy to dump the case. He saw the writing on the wall, explained it to Hoppy, who refused to listen. That's why he's the stand-up guy in this worthless mess. Hopkins is the one who is, and should be the brunt of the complaint.
 

Middletown today at noon. All three DA candidates, and Hopkins placed foot in mouth multiple times. But what's new? Anderson stammered around a lot, and is a nice guy with nothing new. Rhodes took the day, was forthright and sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Lots of support from the seniors for him. I haven't made up my mind, but definitely not for Hopkins, and probably for Rhodes...
 

Let's always remember something post 721 it has been and continues to be our position that there are a good number of great cops working in Rodneys corrupt organization. These good cops are who we are working for and the good citizens of this county. If one wants to go back through the posts of the last 8 months they will find that over and over we have stated the importance of the changes that are necessary so that in the end the citizens and the LE are working hand in hand and in concert with each other, for common agreed to goals for our community. Many communities have accomplished this "evolution" it is difficult and painful to many, it is fought against by many, and it is usually a single incident which causes the change to begin and the citizens to take a stand. In this case it was the Dinius trial that lit the fuse for the explosion that will be the removal of Mitchell and Hopkins, and that moment will be the beginning of the evolution that will take place. But remember we get help from many people inside and outside the department, and we do this work for not only the citizens but for the good LE in this county who now are trapped by Rodney Mitchell.

As far as anyone tripping us up. They have been trying for 8 months, we if you will are the detective Columbo, they take us for small time Koolaid drinkers, and we like that being underestimated holds a great advantage. We have people reporting to the Grand Jury we have many directions and angles that are being implemented. Exposure is the citizens greatest ally, and we have studied well, we know the history we know how they try to discredit and destroy, but not this time. That little game was known 2 months before we started this effort...
Sooooooooooooo that is where we stand, and we suspect there is more worry within the ranks of the corruption supporters then boldness, in fact of that we are positive. If they choose to come after, they may be a bit surprised what they find, and that too is our advantage, Oh this change will come and the anger will increase as they see it slipping away, and to we are prepared for.
 

Yes Hoppy forced the case for some unknown reason (Mitchell) and his own staff told him it was a dude. But Hoppy forced it on staff, then Langon goes to Hoppy and says I am not doing it which a DDA has a right to do. Hoppy then tries to show up his own staff and his ego gets in the way, and he starts to make bad mistakes,(The courthouse steps)...if you heard the interview on the radio a few months ago, he even threw his own people under the bus saying that he took over the case in the last weeks of it, as if to say oh it wasn't my fault. Hoppy's department is currently in chaos, and decisions and reasons for those decisions (The Taxi Driver killer) are beginning to cause everyone to ask what the hell is going on.

If Mitchell runs his typical campaign model, he will wait towards the end of the campaign, and try to imprint on the public at the last moment. This will happen through TV and Radio, and bigger signs etc. This is an advantage for Rivero, because he is at street level shaking hands meeting and greeting, this is the classic elitist money vs grass roots knocking on doors. The common citizen voting against the self perceived class elite in this county, though on a smaller scale it is typical in large cities and counties as well as Lake County. This is where Rivero and his supporters have the work cut out, getting in front of people, and on the phone with people, and doing the hard work right to the last campaign day. Talk is cheap and money don't walk the streets in this election, its knocking on doors and getting the word out, we citizens have an obligation I hope all take to heart in assisting Frank on these fronts.
 

Hoppy has definitely made career ending blunders in the Dinius case and with the pending state bar investigation he has a very good chance of being dis barred . Which means he will not be able continue as da so the bos has to take action now because if he is elected and can not continue what happens . If hoppy is disbarred for violating Dinius' civil rights what is that going to do to Dinius' Lawsuit . The bos needs to take responsibility and hire an outside agency to review Dinius case because they are going to lose .

And half of them were in line at Hoppy's for their med scripts for emphazema and hang nails. What an obnoxious bafoon Rivero is. I know, he can continue to make up stories about fellow employees, disobey direct orders and violate policy. You corruption supporters remember at least one concept, what the people supporting Rivero, posting on this site, working on the campaign are trying to do more for those good cops on the inside then the damage you would do keeping Mitchell in power. You offer those on the force the keys to the jail, not the conditions they need to expand and become great cops, because as we all know by Mitchells lack of leadership and the current difficulties so many of his cops have those good cops don't have a chance in hell of becomming experienced sheirffs with a solid core of leaders to guide them.
