This is very important, if you have run campaign's in a small county the endorsing Demo Central committee ticket is a lot of votes in lake county. As well as SEIU and it does say volumes, and lots of votes.
1. Rivero owns the demo vote in the county
2. Rivero owns the hispanic vote in the county
3. Rivero has a great percentage of the American Indian vote
4. Upperlake, Nice, Lucerne, Spring Valley, Pillsbury, and Hidden valley are Rivero's
5. All 215 collectives growers and associated fields are Rivero"s
6. African American vote goes to Rivero
7. The Oaks will go to Rivero

We could go on, but the demographics show a very clear and defined pattern, the network as we have discussed will vote for Mitchell, the GOB's the crowd that is the Borgi's and the Fowlers, and those groups of business's and people who like their connections. We all know who they are.
 

Now we can see how terribly scared the Mitchell supporters are getting, they are now trying to tie Rivero to Miami, drug cartels...LOL My goodness, just admit it guys your reaching, but it looks so bad, try this, answer one simple question:

I, for one, will do my best to lobby our politicans to raise the pay of our sheriffs so they can make a decent living and not be tempted to become corrupt in the first place. 30,000 reported voters in the county, down from 33,000 due to the death of the housing boom and exodus of citizen from the county, or running from the corruption of the Mitchell regime. The last election Mitchell as the only one on the ticket got a whopping 8000 votes give or take a few 100. Ok that leaves 20,000 voters, and that means Rivero only has to pick up less then 1/2 of those, and considering the loss of votes Mitchell will get hit with due to his continued antics and Rully, and Mitchell supporters you got's a real problem, namely: You, dear corrupt ones, ain't got enough votes. Not to hard to grasp that is it??
 

I see that Rivero has now been endorsed by the Democratic central Committee and SEIU local 1021. I think that says volumes more than the endorsement that Mitchell extorted from the LCDSA, whom he can fire at will.

He joined SFPD, worked his way through probation then to the street in several precincts before deciding on narcotic's. This is not unusual since several deputies in LCSO and officers at LPD and CPD did the same.

Rivero built two large businesses and not one person has come forward complaining of mismanagement. Yet Mitchell still has not taken action against Perdock and Garzoli. Remember, Mitchell promoted Perdock and Garzoli. In the last promotion, Mitchell was only able to get one person to apply for lieutenant. Also remember that it was the BOS and the public that pressured an investigation into Garzoli and Perdock not Mitchell.

Rivero filed no lawsuit against any police or sheriff, not even LCSO. He filed an EEOC complaint, but he wasn't the only person to file am EEOC complaint. The BOS and Mitchell has a copy of the EEOC findings, but both refuses to release it.

Transparency is conducting an investigation when on is reported. Rivero's case was reported in January but not investigated until almost four months later. There are no minorities in the deputy rank. Heck even the deputies under Mitchell haven't had CPR in over 10 years. Simple CPR which is supposed to be trained as part of continued mandated training.

Mitchell was good Sheriff at first, buy has lost his faith with the people and needs to go. Rivero is needed to rattle the department back into shape.

Hey dumb ass, the deceased are not employee's, god how dumb can you get. Rivero had numerous employees over the years. He had to hire, fire and lay off a few while fighting a corrupt politician over a 15 year period. What's wrong, can't even find one? I can find several past and present deputies that can't stand Mitchell which includes all but one minority deputy.
 

Now as all of you know we are supporting Don Anderson for the DA position, it would be easy to say that anyone is better the Hopkins and Mitchell, but we feel that Anderson is the more solid choice, and he has the suppor of the Lovelace group. Any connections to Rivero is not going to be indicated during the election process, nor does it need to be. Generally individuals running for different offices in the same election run individual campaigns as their focus, or to much time would be spent discussing connections to those running for other positions.
 

Yup and it does not bode well for Rhodes that Joe Dutra is a family connection either! Great job of investigative reporting Lovelace. Keep it up!!!!

It is anonymous but if someone posts a lot of comments you pick up their word useage and style. So if you want to post you should, good, bad or in between. Lovelace doesn't like CAPS or cussing and if you support Mitchell at least tell everyone WHY that is.

◦Initiate a program of comprehensive, ongoing training for all officers of the department.)

◦Eliminate cronyism, favoritism and back-room politics and establish a merit-based management structure that includes a zero tolerance policy for unequal treatment of citizens based on ethnicity, race, social class or sexual orientation..)

◦Improve morale and recognize outstanding job performance by members of the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.

◦Decentralize operations to assure improved response times for all Lake County residents .

Sounds like someone has finally come up with a solid plan and solid approach, I was supporting Mitchell and blogged as such many times. I have since changed my mind and you guys have me on board with Rivero.

Check this stat out, in the 2006 election Rodney and Hopkins got no votes from almost 2000 people who voted that year. This is before all the recent issues. even back then with only his name on the vote ticket almost 2000 people would not check his name, and there were several 100 write ins. So of all the people who cast ballots, Nearly a 20% of those would not check Rodney's name. Again we bring to your attention, this is before Dinius etc. Oh man if I am a corruption supporter I am thinking about packing the old bags.

Signs in various locations does not mean support. One property owner in Kelseyville was seen today yanking out Rivero and Anderson signs, because both were placed without permission. Many, perhaps most are placed with the permission of property owners, but not all. For example, Anderson had a big sing at Day Construction in Lower Lake right by the highway until last Thursday, when it suddenly disappeared. Apparently it also was placed without permission. Signs alone mean nothing. If they stay, that might mean the property owner endorses that candidate. If they disappear, you might consider that they were placed without permission, which opens a whole other kettle of fish...

Just because they stay, doesn't mean they got approval. I heard some campaign people were in the Assessors office using the public computers to find out what land is owned by people that live out of the area and won't know a sign is even on their property.

Regarding placing political signs on a good neighbor fence; Does anyone know if the homeowner who built the fence on the property line or within inches of it have the right to place political signs on the other neighbors side of the fence? Last, open an investigation on the leak of the Rully leak on the website SheriffMitchellwatch regards to the Rivero IA you started, you did it with Morshed, now do it on this one. It is making you look real bad.

A "network" of people and businesses that have connections to the LE/DA and BOS and this network, is who the Mitchell voters and corruption supporters are. They see themselves as better then the average citizen, because they are "connected" in this network Mitchell has built around himself over the past 16 years. These people although they would profess how smart they are, really are quite ignorant and unaware of how much they are manipulated. These are the "static" votes Mitchell has always had in the elections. This group of people are part of the corruption, they are not part of the solution. One of these business owners said on the phone when being questioned about their support for Mitchell, "we don't want your kind in "our" county!!! Yo take me back to the old south why don't ya!!

In closing this correspondence we have two questions and or observations. Mr Hopkins you are under investigation by the state bar, you need to come forward and indicate this to the public at large, they have a right to know and you have an obligation to explain yourself, you need to explain the timing of when you knew and how you were notified. This is BOS members what we call transparency in the public eye. These things are not hidden away they are for the public to be made aware of.

Mr Mitchell you either need to charge Rivero or shut down the Rully IA. Period, if you think you are going to drag this out till the end of the election you have another thing coming, this we know was a major blunder on your part, and now it is coming back to haunt you. You as one of your last actions Mr. Mitchell need to do the right thing, you and your department are looking worse and worse in the public eye. We are watching this very closely. By the way our last correspondence indicated there was more to come, alas again we have the Hopkins investigation, and now we say again there is more to come, much much more, imagine how much better it would have been had the BOS issued a statement a long time ago to both Mitchell and Hopkins to step down. Imagine how highly the citizens would have seen this gesture. Or are the BOS only concerned with that elite group of citizens?
 

I would wager that not one our County Employees could recite their oath that they took to us when they took office or were sworn in from memory. I suggest that the oath that they promised to uphold should become a part of every county meeting. Just as they pledge allegiance to the flag they should pledge allegiance to the citizens of the county. Maybe if they heard themselves repeat it often enough they would remember the reason they ran for that office.
 

That should be the "reason that they gave us for running for office." Lord only knows what their reasons were.

All these people from the sheriff to the BOS are lightweights with very little oversight or deep thinking among the lot of them.

This collusion with business and people that make up the Mitchell network of "static' voters, do not like us, one reason being we are exposing them for what they are, and their inbility to run this county is glaring.

I am looking forward to meeting Frank tomorrow in Upper Lake. I noticed today when driving along 20 from Upper Lake to Ukiah that a bunch of large Anderson signs have been vandalized with black spray paint.I wonder who is behind this and what kind of beef they have with Anderson as I have not heard anything negative about him. I am undecided between Anderson and Rhoades at this point. I would not hold it against Rhoades that he is associated with Dutra. These are strange times in Lake County, the old guard and web of nepotism, of corruption and collusion is under the microscope of the citizens. It causes those in power to fight the change, to resist. But this evolution of the societal system currently in place is going to happen, and if past examples hold true they will go down kicking and srcreaming. While in the end it is the citizens who profess we work in concert with the LE, in communication with the sheriffs office, transparency and oversight not being the exception but the norm. The local LE working with the citizens for a common goal and with an agreed to sense of direction and focus....This is in place in many cities who had to undergo this change to transparency. Santa Cruz is 3/4'sd of the way there, Humbolt is there, many cities and counties in this state are using this cooperative model of citizen/LE interaction.

None the less, My understanding is your question query's the Physco. contention that an individual begins a crusade based on the idea of being wronged by an authority figure or entity. So in the context of your question you would like to pull the ideal away from what is being attacked and corrected i.e.(corruption network) and try to determine a way to change the focus to why a group of citizens would do this, attempting to decay the honesty and integrity of the citizens goal of transparency.
