Mitchell will never allow the IA to finish until AFTER the election. This is why he chose the slowest sergeant at LCSO to do the IA. Basor is a great SAR person and supervisor. He is also great at calming an irate organization from destruction like he and Howe did with the jail, but he is far from a good IA investigator. He has never been a detective nor has he even did an IA of this nature.

Mitchel can't allow the IA to end before the election because it will show the IA is "unfounded" and would severally damage Mitchell's chance of staying Sheriff. How? it would show that a simple check would have closed this IA almost immediately and that the four months pending status was never needed. Then he would have to admit mismanagement AGAIN for waiting four months and not just simply looking at the immediate facts (booking photo, Dejernis and the husband's statements).

As you see, if Mitchell was to announce that Rivero is cleared before the electio,n it would be his destruction.

I am still boycotting Lake County products... and have two cases of Obsidian Ridge in my cellar that are going to sit there until the citizens of Lake County vote these two clowns out of office. The three restaurants I am involved in, all based in NYC, have excluded all Lake County wines from their lists and our distributors know why.

Did he follow policy and procedure in the Dinius case? No, if he had, Perdock would be in jail and Rodney would still have some hope of being reelected. He didn’t refer it to an outside agency; he covered a crime to protect one of his own.

Point of fact, the rules don’t apply to Rodney. If you disagree, try filing a complaint against Rodney and see if he opens and I.A. on himself. There’s no check on his abuse of authority. Rivero’s Office of Citizens Complaints and Review Board would hold Rivero accountable just like any other employee; Rodney won’t allow that kind of oversight.

In fact, Rodney leaks information as it benefits him. Rhonda called the radio station and announced the I.A. on the 19th of March, before Rodney even told Rivero about it. We know full well that this was a scheme on Rodney’s part and he was leaking information before the papers were even served.

Is this why Perdock is on extended paid vacation? Rodney won’t investigate that I.A. because he still hopes to win the election somehow and plans to “clear” Perdock afterwards. Clearly the Rhonda thing could have been resolved quickly. So far, nobody has even begun asking any questions. Rivero’s partner and Rhonda’s hubby have not been questioned. So, it appears that Rodney has done nothing to investigate this complaint. Perhaps you should have said “He investigates every complaint if it suits him”.
 

Mitchell supporters should be the last to comment about hurting local businesses. When Purdock drove his Outlaw through that sailboat and Rodney covered for him, tourism died in Lake County. No other issue has been so detrimental to the Lake County economy; it’s why Konocti Harbor closed and it’s really hurt the north shore resorts. Boat clubs have blacklisted Lake County because they don’t want their members to become the next Bismarck Dinius.
 

Seriously, you think that Konocti Harbor closed because of the Dinius case? The good money is on decades of money losing concerts, poor maintenance and low occupancy but don't let business reality and a down economy get in the way of your myth. And it will be interesting to revisit your assertion when they open for the summer trade/concerts.

The reputation of law enforcement and government (around the country?) have taken a toll on the counties reputation and obviously economy. However, one small business owner in NY is a terrible loss. It has to dramatically affect folks from the bay area and surroudning communities that won't move in to the area, due to the corrupt reputation. It must also affect property values, becuase people would need a thick skin to want to live and invest in a area the doesn;t seem safe.

Never really struck me how bad, this whole corruption ring, has affected the county.

THis also has to embarass those terribly who are trying to do the right thing, if they truely can understand the impact of the negative image; Unless however, they are involved in maintaining the wicked web that has now been woven.

I imagine that yes, there is some residual affect from the Dinius case and sure that some boaters won't be coming back for a while. I don't blame em.
I also don't believe they will be returning simply by virtue of Mitchell and/or Hopkins being replaced because that damage has been done. It will take time for people to forget - then they'll be back. Unless of course the Rivero clown colony continues breathe life into that incident to make it their central election issue.

And for the record - even if we do get a new Sheriff and DA, there still won't be a speed law on the lake at night because the boaters and bass fishermen fought it with the chamber.
That trial would have gone a whole different direction if the lake had nighttime speed laws. Might never have happened at all.
 

I'm starting to get feed back from my friends in my contacts list that I emailed about the Rully audio file and booking photo.So far 3 from out of state and 2 local. All 5 said they wouldn't have believed it if they hadn't heard it for them selves. All asked for me to keep them updated. One asked if the audio was uploaded to utube. I don't know how to do that so maybe some one will help with that.

Good info on how you can sue and/or find out "who" the someone is that has created a blog to harrass/stalk an individual e.g. as it pertains to this woman (Ms Cohen) who was being libeled on a google blog spot etc. Again, recently this info was put to good use and even though the perp(s) have/will delete the blogspot before google has a chance, google will soon be supplying the contact info and IP address to the offended party(s). However, the NYC ruling does not pertain to this blog. Why, because this blog is about people seeking re-election. As where Ms Cohen was in the private sec. hopkins and mitchell are elected public officials. They have choosen to be in the public light and with that come certain neg. stuff. The admin. of this site has made it very clear what this site is about: getting rid DA hopkins and sheriff mitchell both elected public employees.

2:35, it’s probably true that there were other factors in the closing of Konocti, but the Dinius case has undeniably exacerbated that situation. Perhaps they would have closed anyway, perhaps not. But there are a lot of resorts on the lake and any one of them will tell you that tourism took a big hit from the Dinius trial. True, that tourism won’t return the day that Rivero takes office but it will return once Rodney is gone. You may not like hearing about Dinius but Rivero didn’t create that mess; Rodney, Perdock and Hopkins did. And the tourists won’t forget about it until those three flunkies are gone. You say “You can’t win an election on the Dinius trial”. That’s true; but even if that was our only point of contention with Rodney, it was criminal on his part and more than enough reason for him to be removed from office. My greatest frustration with the Mitchell supporters is that the only pro-Mitchell argument I see presented is something to the effect of “everything being said about Rodney is a lie”. Even if that were true, even if Purdock hadn’t taken a life or Garzoli embezzled funds, if none of that was even remotely true, I still wouldn’t vote for Rodney. Has he done such a great job that he deserves our support? He claims “Life in Lake County remains livable”. I want better than “Livable”; I want to see that crime didn’t climb 25% in the last three years. I want to see good cops being a respected part of the community, not an authority over them. This along with channel 7's coverage and the Press Democrat moves our situation into a greater public view then just our local press. To who ever was discussing what effect Mitchell and Hopkins have had on Lake County, tourism, and other potential revenue opportunities, the effect has been deep, real and terrible. It could only be ignorance that would cause a person not to understand, the effect coverage like channel 7 has on the public's view of our county. You bet he and Hopkins have had a terrible effect on these areas. lake County over the past 15 years and even longer has gotten a terrible reputation. Mitchell has furthered this decline in our county, as well as Hopkins. This cannot be denied, the negative image they have, through their own actions, created and furthered is significant.

Do they not trust their employees, is this censorship dictated by a government agency without the consent of the public that works there as well as the public at large? Interesting questions, a first response to that inquiry will generally yield the answer of Stalinist or Marxist type policy's. It is a compliment when trying to break through the hard shell of corruption and collusion to be banned, it means the message is getting out there. Ron Green used two words in his letter, honesty and transparency to describe what we currently do not have in Hopkins.
 

R4S is right, when Rivero comes into the new position, many things are going to happen before that, the Dutra's and many others in the department will make decisions to try and stay or go. Agreements Mitchell has had with people and business's untoward and and unknown by the public will be eliminated. This is actual a normal business practice when a new boss comes on the scene. The greatest concern of all these connections to Mitchell LE and otherwise is it all is going to stop. Transparency will not allow for that to ever happen again.

There will be conversations where a "gentle nudge" to leave on good terms is in order as the new system just cannot have any of the old GOB network as a part of it. The other factor to Mitchells downfall is the negative reaction to the DSA and its bogus voting on their endorsement. For the first time Mitchell gets no boost and in fact it is seen as a negative. This mean all these corruption connections are getting more concerned as their apple cart is beginning to tip over.
 

If I was running for a public office or for re-election in one, I would just assume a certain amount of name calling to take place. I don't feel sorry for Hopkins or Mitchell or their deputies/wives whos names have been mentioned here on this blog. Hello citzens the situation with Hopkins and the state bar association complaint aganist Hopkins is accurate and factual. There are a set of steps that will take place during this investigation or complaint. In the end game asd much as disbarment can happen, down to public admonishment in regards to his conduct during the Dinus trial. This information is exacting and factual, their is an individual whom we will not indicate his name at this time who filed the original complaint with the state bar. This has launched the investigation if you will into these activities and the process will unfold eventually if merited before a judge who will rule on the validity of the crimes and the requested punishments.

Mr. Hopkins you like Mr. Mitchell must come clean, were you aware of these situations with the bar? You must step up and admit the situation, the time has come and the days are numbered, it can be a controlled orderly exit, or you kickin and screaming as you get sent on your way.

The time has also come to lay waste the Mitchell corruption that is known to you. It is time to break that alliance and clear the air.

I was talking to a young man who is a Lakeport local. He told me a story about an incident that took place about a month ago out at one of the local casinos. Apparently his aunt and uncle were out at the casino, minding their own business. The uncle steps outside to smoke and sees three LCSD rousting a man of brown skin. When one of the three LCSD spot this man (also of brown skin) watching them from the doorway the LCSD approached the man and demanded his ID. The man refused because he felt it unwarranted and told the SD that there was no need for him to show his ID. It then turned into a real cluster f*** and guess what, the man was arrested and so was his wife on bogus charges. The Lake County sheriff deputy who started the whole problem with these people was none other than "new hire" LCSD Jacob Steely. Way to go Mitchell, hiring Burke's cast offs. Oh, but there is no racical profiling at the LCSO. These people are not going to let this go because they didn't do anything wrong except for having brown skin.

Why is this woman allowed to continue working as a caregiver? I'm sure she's NOT doing it for free. Is she working for IHSS? I don't get it. That is why there are SO many free roaming criminals in this county. Is this "strike THREE" for the little miss? I sure hope so. It's not like she swiped a bottle of baby aspirin. Hello citzens the situation with Hopkins and the state bar association complaint aganist Hopkins is accurate and factual. There are a set of steps that will take place during this investigation or complaint. In the end game asd much as disbarment can happen, down to public admonishment in regards to his conduct during the Dinus trial. This information is exacting and factual, their is an individual whom we will not indicate his name at this time who filed the original complaint with the state bar. This has launched the investigation if you will into these activities and the process will unfold eventually if merited before a judge who will rule on the validity of the crimes and the requested punishments.

Mr. Hopkins you like Mr. Mitchell must come clean, were you aware of these situations with the bar? You must step up and admit the situation, the time has come and the days are numbered, it can be a controlled orderly exit, or you kickin and screaming as you get sent on your way.

Lets get something straight right now. Rivero has been a successful businessman for decades. He had two businesses, several employees and managers. Not one has come forward complaining bad management. We can't say the same about Mitchell. He couldn't manage Perdock, who mostly by himself brought major disgrace to LCSO. He couldn't manager Morshed (who used to mow his grass) who had sex on duty, lied in court and other things. He also couldn't manage Garzoli, who sexist escaped were an embarrassment, his helicopter incident a major cluster***. And now Mitchell takes a four month old dead IA complaint and tries to make Rivero the bad guy just before the election. I'll bet my next paycheck that Mitchell will keep this IA going even past the election.

I have been reliably informed that the State Bar of California has filed a complaint and is investigating District Attorney Jon Hopkins’ conduct in the Dinius boating case, primarily focusing on his outrageous open letter to the newspapers during jury selection.


Since Mr. Hopkins always says “integrity is my hallmark,” I call on him to immediately make public all letters from the State Bar concerning this investigation.


It’s time we know what Mr. Hopkins knows and when he knew it. After all, Mr. Hopkins is running for district attorney, a public office that requires integrity and transparency.


Although State Bar investigations are considered confidential, Mr. Hopkins can still release this information, since California Business and Professions Code Section 6086.1 specifically says the attorney under investigation may waive confidentiality.


There is no reason Mr. Hopkins could not release these letters and then explain his position, especially since he’s already demonstrated that he loves to write open letters to the papers when it suits him.


Shouldn’t the public be fully informed about this so we can decide whether to vote for a candidate for district attorney who might be suspended or even disbarred from the practice of law? Don’t the voters have a right to know?


How about a little honesty and transparency on this issue? Is that too much to ask for a candidate for District Attorney who runs on a platform of integrity, experience and professionalism?

Well well looks like Hoppy has gotten himself in a bit of a sticky wicket. The State Bar has the power to disbar any lawyer who comes under their preview, a justified complaint will eventually be forwarded to a judge for a final ruling based on the findings and recommendations of the investigative team at the State Bar. Quite serious this is... Now one of the questions for the debate to Hopkins is are you under investigation and on what day were you aware you came under investigation, when did you receive the paperwork indicating you were being investigated???? Neither the Reckless Bee or the chamber or LCN has the guts to ask that question nor to report on it in their papers. She’s a nut and Mitchell should have referred her to get some help. But no, Rodney capitalized on this to propagate his lies to the people of Lake County.

Of course the dinius claim was rejected. An old friend of mine was on the boat and said he was "hammered". I believe him. So his trial ended in jury nullification because perdock didn't also get charged. Jury nullification does not mean you aren't guilty.
 

I was listening to the audio tape where Rully talked to the media. It is on Rivero's website. In it she said that the night she was arrested there were three other woman arrested by Rivero in jail with her. She said, "They were beaten so bad about their face that you couldn't even recognize them."

How can that be true? I found only one other female arrested by Rivero the same time Rully was arrested. I don't see a drop of blood or any injury on that woman's head. The third female was arrested by Lakeport Police, not Rivero and even she has no signs of head injury. She then goes on to say Rivero "just" won a law suit against SFPD, but Rivero did not, nor has he ever filed a suit against SFPD.

Mitchell you should have reviewed this complaint a lot better before starting an IA four months later. That's why people want a change and it's Rivero.

This is very important, if you have run campaign's in a small county the endorsing Demo Central committee ticket is a lot of votes in lake county. As well as SEIU and it does say volumes, and lots of votes.

6. African American vote goes to Rivero
7. The Oaks will go to Rivero

We could go on, but the demographics show a very clear and defined pattern, the network as we have discussed will vote for Mitchell, the GOB's the crowd that is the Borgi's and the Fowlers, and those groups of business's and people who like their connections. We all know who they are.

What has never happpened before to Mitchell his him actually having to worry about how many votes he gets, now this will be the first time the water is tested and the citizens now with a clear choice in Rivero will have a choice and overwhelmingly defeat Mitchell. One of these business owners said on the phone when being questioned about their support for Mitchell, "we don't want your kind in "our" county!!! Yo take me back to the old south why don't ya!!

Remember citizens, what you have in the above post is the description of the elitist group of people in this county connected to Mitchell who look down upon you the citizen. They see themselves as better then the citizens, they think they have an inside track, you wonder why the county is going down the toliet, it is because these people and their business's are really in it for themselves and their collusion with the BOS and the LE. This is BOS members what we call tranparency in the public eye. These things are not hidden away they are for the public to be made aware of.

Mr Mitchell you either need to charge Rivero or shut down the Rully IA. Period, if you think you are going to drag this out till the end of the election you have another thing coming, this we know was a major blunder on your part, and now it is coming back to haunt you. You as one of your last actions Mr. Mitchell need to do the right thing, you and your department are looking worse and worse in the public eye. We are watching this very closely. By the way our last correspondence indicated there was more to come, alas again we have the Hopkins investigation, and now we say again there is more to come, much much more, imagine how much better it would have been had the BOS issued a statement a long time ago to both Mitchell and Hopkins to step down. Imagine how highly the citizens would have seen this gesture. Or are the BOS only concerned with that elite group of citizens?

Lake county is a bit of an odd demographic condition, being 75 percent demo. it also has a 20 percent or so independent registration voter base. The independent base is very much in Riveros court, it would be hard to imagine that anymore then a few percentage points of independents would vote for Mitchell. His base is the hard right elitist group of people who are connected by friend or business connection to Mitchell. We believe your independent base is a solid group of progressive individuals who are looking for change from the status quo and have very little trust of the current system. We are glad you are on board and hope you are able to bring many votes to the booth for Rivero.

Mitchell had the chance to do a proper investigation on Rivero in January. Instead he waited four more months. The accuser stated 17 other females complained about Rivero, but not one of them has come forward. She said she was hit in the head with the door, but not a mark on her in the booking photo. She claims Rivero transported her to jail, but it was Dejurnes. Given these simple statements, Mitchell or even Brown should have looked into this complaint before starting this FOUR MONTH OLD IA based on a 1 1/2 year old arrest. Maybe if Ostini, Macedo or Paulich was given this IA it would have been handled differently.

Mitchell also could never control Perdock, Garzoli or Morshed. Heck Michell couldn't even review a DEA grant before signing it!

Just a citizen reporting here, I am seeing more Rivero signs and support for Rivero then I can remember, I have been in the county for the past 20 years and I have a good sense of what is going to happen. I think there is a big surprise coming for the Mitchell boys and girls. In June Mitchell is going to get hammered by an amount that is going to surprise everyone. Lovelace is right about the people in this county and how the voting breaks down. Hopkins is already done you can stick a fork in him, Mitchell as well, Mitchell and his supporters are very worried right now, and you can tell, as the election gets closer they will lash out even more. To this Lovelace group, you do not know how much good you are doing, you have them more scared then even you know. Good information coming from the Rivero camp, many people are not aware of the huge that has been going on for 2 months now. There is a wonderful lady who has been working very hard on registering the ethnic voters in the county. Literally she has registered 100'sd upon 100's of Hispanic and American Indian voters. This wonderful lady works non-stop and has a great understanding of the people and places in our county. We are very grateful to her, and she herself has some amazing stories of how the sheriffs department has in the past treated her and others she knows. Little did the corruption supporters know and Mitchell how much their activity in the past would come back to haunt them. Great job by this fine and dedicated women, who is working very hard for Rivero's election.

About the infamous lawsuit, re-read LakeCo.News' article on Rivero's anouncement that he would run for sheriff, back in September. Rivero uncovered officials claiming indigenate people were dying when no such people existed. He exposed corruption and reported it. They took his contract away from him for reporting the corruption. He sued and got it back. He fought for 15 years to win his case. He never gave up fighting for what he believed in. Can you say the same thing about yourself or very many people you know?
Read the part about his father fighting for the dissedents who got locked up under the Castro regime. He too was arrested and locked up. How would your life have been affected if that had happened to your father? It changed Rivero's. His Father taught him to always stand up and fight for what he believed in. That's what he's done in the past and that's what he is doing now.

No he is not doing what the public has asked for. For instance:
1. Release the EEOC findings.
2. Bring Perdock to justice.
3. Admit to the mess up in reviewing the DEA grant.
4. Admit to allowing an IA to stay inactive for four months.
5. Admit that your managers had a chance to arrest Wright but didn't.
6. Admit you couldn't control Perdock, Morshed or Garzoli. Only Morshed was fired and that's after several serious department violations.

My guess is that neither of you will have ANY place in the new administration with Frank Rivero as the Sheriff. He most certainly will not tolerate your methods of corruption, deception and lies. Maybe you two can be in charge of the Hill Road Correctional Kitchen, or the Civil Division's Bathrooms, or maybe the Dispatch Center's parking lot? Life will most likely be HELL for you two but most certainly fantastic for all the good deputies not caught up in all the bullshit the two of you have flung. I'll be there to watch as I'm doing now.

Wright was arrested the same day the news broke to the public after Rodney tried to cover it up, not months earlier when he should have been. He was allowed to return his 50 cal to his "Friends" in Utah. What a sloppy search, they didn't find the 50 cal when they searched his house.
