Thanks for taking care of the posters on Gossett. Not that I care what they had to say but was about to give up on the site due to it being a temporary thorn to go through all the BS in order to post/read.
 

It has been said that there is no prosecutor with the DA's office overseeing cases that involve Seniors - Senior Abuse of anykind. Is this true? And if so, why isn't there? Who is to oversee this department? Can any of you LE answer this question for me please?

I lived in lake county for 20+ yrs i grew up there and i have to say that the lcsd is a very harsh dept aside from the corruption i was continually harassed my whole childhood because my family was low income and the worst of the worst was officer jim belan all he does is ruin kids lives in lake county and even though im no longer a resident of lake co i still feel that this dept is to hard on the youth of lake co and that jim belan should be put on trial and i also think that scaring kids into telling on other people should be illegal if an arrest is a jailable one that should be it not a choice of snitch or jail do ur own jobs
 

CNN was also contacted during the Dinius Trial, along with several other News agencies. The original folks who started the protest against LE and Hopkins hooked up with a very large community, SAILING ANARCHCY which got involved immediately. This is where it all began to reach the citizens of Lake County along with the news traveling worldwide. Hopkins was fully aware of this and still continued to prosecute Bismarck, knowing full well he would lose the case. Yet, it didn't matter so long as he got his buddy Perdock off the hook, which is exactly what happened. During this time Mitchell kept a very low profile for all the lame excuses he has made. There was no transparency at that time except for that of the public outcry for wrong doing! So now that all is said and done with that trial, the public is still on top of it and with their continuing efforts will one day get the truth. Now that several officers have filed complaints within the DOJ, AG and news agencies, Dan Noyes has once again stepped in to report what is going on in Lake County. I appreciate his efforts. Frank Rivero has also stepped up to the plate for whatever reasons and has also opened up yet another can of worms. 2 Former LE joined him in doing so. This will not go away anytime soon! I welcome CNN and whatever reports they may contribute. Lake County is just a small portion of a worldwide problem. If every County would open their eyes within their own communities, eventually the clean up of all corruption will seem less. Many thanks to the Dinius supporters and protestors as well as Dan Noyes and for those of you who continue the efforts into a more clean and peaceful community!

Post 10:30 man what a great and well written post, you are right this is a nationwide problem and a worldwide problem. I can see a time where in our little county the relationship between the LE and the community is one of peaceful cooperation and the sharing of mutual goals for the benefit of all citizens. This will happen here, but first is the removal of the old and ignorant guard. That to is on the wind you can be sure of it. I haven't heard this brought up yet, but one thing comes to my mind. This poster Rodeny had up, and all these antics and corruption. Where the hell have the supervisors and counsel and others been in the midst of all this for all these years. I have heard many in our local goverment say what an ass Rodney is, yet nothing ever ever was done for all these years. You Mr. and Mrs Supervisors have put this county at risk, and you Mr and Mrs supervisors and counsel, and the DA have hurt this county. How will answer these questions when it comes to election time. What will you say? I din't know, I didn't know. We are just the supervisors, we simply hand out all the money but other then that we don't know anything and we can't do anything. I worked with Kip Ringen for several years. He has always been a malcontent. He was booted out of almost every assignment he ever had because he could not get along with his superiors. He was properly sent for fitness for duty evaluations (as many thought he may be the one to go postal). He ranted and raved many times over how he was being persecuted but no one thought he was. He was simply an ass. I just guess EVERYONE was wrong and he was the only one who could see it.
He was the association president. He lobbied for that position and we gave it to him. He definitely could stir the pot with the administration and I guess that is what we wanted. He was not in it for the members. He always had his own agenda.
Kip has tried to come across as a “Cop’s Cop” but he never was. He was for the most part lazy handling only calls for service. As an investigator I wonder how many cases he filed with the DA. How many arrest warrants were issued based on his investigations? Not many!
He comes off as this moral guy. Where did that girlfriend come from? He was a married man when he met her …Right Kip? Sorry Bxxxxx but this guy is just such an ass.
As a matter of fact he never answered the question as to why he left the Caspar Wyoming Police Department. Just why did you leave Kip?

We were on the map before the News Report from ABS on Rivero and the others. We were on the map Thanks to Hopkins and Mitchell and the cover-up of the Dinius trial. The protestors along with inside info given to Dan, drove him here to oversee the case and I for one am glad he did. Sailing Anarchy got involved and they are worldwide as well as the News. This is just one more mark against this county and its citizens, businesses and its economy!
Prior to this all taking place, Hopkins as well as Mitchell along with the BOS new and well aware of the stance the citizens were about to take. They were given the option of pursuing what we all knew to be WRONG or doing what was right. Well, we all know what they ALL choose to do. By this time, throughout the years of I will do it my way, they didn't take us seriously. Look where it got them as well as Lake County. The Blame is on your Leaders as well as the Shame it has brought all of us!
 

Frank Rivero sued the City of SF based on racial issues. Now just after a couple of years he is going after Lake County on the same issue. Ringen worked here for 25 or so years and never raised the issue. Now he sees the light. Bitter, bitter little men. Actually, Kip looked raather plump. Maybe he got stung by a bee.
 

I don't they are bitter men, Kip is well retired and doing just fine, there are many and I know a few who left the sheriff because of the corruption and lost the chance to have a career in LE, but their conscience would not let them, now they have a right to be bitter. These are citizens who indeed see the light, and that light is shining directly on the poor and ignorant leadership of Mitchell and Hopkins, along with the other LE folks who followed their lead. For some reason bitter people figure that Frank should not go after lake county LE because he went after SF PD, oh I see your logic if you see a murder and turn it in yet see another murder you shouldn't. Oh ya that's good logic indeed. Again we have a perfect example of flawed intelligence as displayed in post 3:45, and to top it off we get a plump joke by a bee comment. Its sad but thats the process as we always hear from our officials. Like I have stated many of times over and I guess since you haven't been paying much attention until now, I will state it again. This county and its citizens as well as our honest LE have kept silenced long enough. Everyone, including Mr. Rivero as well as Mr. Ringin have jumped on the opportunity when Hopkins and Mitchell decided to do the WRONG thing in prosecuting Dinius. This and this alone was everyones motivation in seeking true justice. It just so happen the festation has been accumulating within our county for many years now and it has reached the boiling over point! If Frank and all the rest who outcry for the removal of the GOB Network succeed in their quest, I hope Frank either continues on here or moves along to yet another community to open up the process there as well, kinda like a domino effect! So rant all you wish, and the only ones I foresee being bitter here would be that of bitter - scared - and hopeless of the bunch including yourself!

I want to give you fair warning. There is much more to come, please take this serious, there are ongoing investigations happening as we speak, there are internal people working for this cause and need for change within your very departments, including The DA's office. Work with us however you can find a way, many have and continue to. We can and will create a county where the citizens and the LE work together for a better community, we know that is what you want, we know you do not like what you have to do each day when dealing with these small childish coworkers and for that we hope you understand why it must be done. I read a previous post saying Dave Perry is a good cop and I must say that we have a definate difference of opinion. Dave Perry released information to a member of the public regarding a person I know. Problem: The information was not true but he for what ever reason saw fit the slander this person. The victim is considering filing suit against the SO.
 

I understand the whole Slander suit idea is always being thrown around, people are paranoid over that word. This post does not come down on either side but just to let everyone know, Slander very very rarely ever works in court. Due to freedom of speech and opinion concepts the courts hardly ever rule for a slander attempt. Those being attacked always like "I'll sue you for slander" think again does not happen to often. And as well there has to be very real damage which happened because of the spoken word. Not they hurt my feelings, or my standing with my friends, etc etc. So just a heads up on that for informational purposes.

Dave Perry gave the person information while reading from the RIM program. He said the other person had been arrested and this is not true. Other information was also released but it too wasn't factual information. I won't go into any further details but the SO records prove my position and my friend will "GO Public" in due time.
 

Hey that's great I am not saying anything about right or wrong, don't know the situation. But "going public" is a lot different then a "slander Suit" in court. My point is simply that we are a sue happy country and we hear I am going to sue you for slander all the time, very rarely happens or has the "merit" necessary for actually going to court.

Sorry, I didn't intend to mislead you. My friend's attorney is researching a slander suit but the final decision to file has not yet been decided. As to going public, they do intend to public with the information, just waiting for the right time. Apparently, the sheriff didn't take any action against this deputy.
 

Great and thanks post 8:59, I see where you are coming from, of course as usual the sheriff is the lynch pin, as usual taking no action. It all boils down to the same thing doesn't it no fairness and no transparency, thus these things rotate out of control. Imagine if we did have a Sheriff/DA that had actually managed and were leaders, the majority of what you are describing would never have to happen. The damage they have done is profound, let's hope enough of the GOB has died off, and enough sharper people have come into the county so the elections are a landslide for their removal.

Why is everyone so surprised about the liars that we have protecting our county? This has been going on for years. Get this: Task force goes in to a house without ever producing a search warrant. Didn't find anything in the home. Pointed guns at the homowners face. The lady wieghed about 105lbs, she was thrown to the floor and had a 255lb officer's foot holding her down while being handcuffed. After tearing down the house, all they could find were home made Nunchukus.( which are illegal in a the hands of a martial artist). The homeowner was arrested. The next day the paper read "Mexican Mafia drug lord arrested". But no drugs were found. Hmmm Interesting. When the trial arrived, the "search warrant" was never produced. It had been sealed along with the so called evidence. The Sheriff deputy took it upon himself to call the man's employer and said that they had found countless amount of drugs in the company vehicle, which was lie. The man was fired on the spot. All charges were dropped after the man lost his job, his house, his vehicles and was left with a $12 thousand lawyer bill.
I have always defended our police and Sheriffs, but not after I did my own investigation as a school project when I realized that there is major corruption. That man lost alot and it damaged his life just because a Deputy had a vendetta that started in high school. Should Kids that attended local highschool be allowed to return to the county and patrol?

If I have a concern or complaint against someone for whatever reason do I need to watch my back or can I trust that our District Attorney's Office and the Sheriff's Office will investigate? I am Proudly employed in Lake County Law Enforcement. Up, until now I have not posted on this blog but I have been following it for awhile. I saw all the mad blogger stuff over the weekend. I spoke to trusted co-worker about it and they told me they knew who was involved. It was two fellow co-workers, their wives and a second couple who are not with Law Enforcement. I have always been proud of my work in Law Enforcement but I feel ashamed over their actions. I don't know the persons mentioned in those posts personaly but I know of them. I have no opinion one way or another about them. I want to stay out of this but what these people did is cyber-stalking. To Protect and Serve has nothing to do with stalking, harassment and libel! I'm not sure if I should go forward and report what I know now or wait until after the election.
 

Let's see, If I come forward now I show that I support the community and the community would support me.......... But then If I wait until after the election then I can remain silent and kiss up to whoever the winner is.

A poster who talked about YELLOW XEROXES that were "around" Janet Simpson in front of a witness at her home spoke openly that the LCSO was crucifying the victim who turned in the child porn with the LCSO and if anyone thinks about it a LCSO in a cover up WOULD try to discredit the victims of this because it is larger than the cover up of Lynn Thornton's death and Janet Simpson KNEW the victim had terminal cancer. The stall tactic again like in the People vs Dinius, where Perdock could NOT be charged with manslaughter after three years. Perdock, after all, was the first reportd to, and then Mitchell and then the DA. This would be a MUCH bigger lawsuit than the Thorton suit against the LCSO. MUCH BIGGER and would pull everyone involved down and they would lose their assets in a HUGE civil suit. If the victim was actively seeking medical help it would postpone what the victim could do to go after the "gang bang" mentality of the corriupt LCSO. Frank Rivero COULD get to the bottom of this if he was afforded the opportunity. Officer Dutra KNEW about the open theft of the victim's personal possessions and reported that his hands were tied on the matter. Who tied them? We are talking over $300K here in grand theft by the LCSO.

No you are wrong. LCSO vehicles do not have standard back seats. The original seats are removed and are equipped with molded plastic seats with recessed area's for only TWO people. A third person could not be seatbelted and would most likely be sitting on the seatbelt restraint holders.

Well first of all, that statement was not written by Deputy Gary Frace because he is semi-literate. His mother or one of his buddies must have written it for him. He lied when he told the lakenews.com reporter that he has been with the Sheriff's office for four years because he didn't join the force until 4/2006! A bit of a stretch! Also I would like to know the actual number of members who were present for the "emergency meeting" and a look at the "bylaws" and if they followed the "brown act"!! As I recall it takes a 24 hour notice to ALL members, even for an "emergency meeting"! You had better make sure you have all the "rank and file" on board when you put out that kind of statement! I am willing to bet there was less than 12 people present! 12 out of 65, with three being executive board? I don't think so! You took a vote that DID NOT reflict your group as a whole! Shame on you!

What the hell does that time line prove, that Mitchell has someone keeping a calender for him. At least it is a little shorter the the 22 non answers he gave to the Dinius homicide questions. I'll give him this, he is a slippery fellow and will stop at nothing to shift the blame onto Ringen, Rivero and Lande. All three have stated clearly that they did not want to bring this career ending hair lice upon themselfs. Now that it is here we don't want to hear about the childish namecalling. Lets concentrate on how they profile blacks, browns, and the poor. How they misbehave and mistreat our sons and daughter. How the shread the Constitution violate civil and human rightd!

I have been reading this blog for the last couple of weeks and I can’t believe how what it has become. I am amazed at how low people will sink to speak disparagingly about others and their families. I am a 40 year resident of Lake County and I have never seen such trash being written in the name of justice, freedom and the American way. I too want the best for our communities and public agencies but name calling and putting forth unsubstantiated trash is not the way to achieve those goals. What is obscene in this current feeding frenzy on this blog is that people will say anything, even hurt others, in an attempt to influence the audience. This election is important and its many issues must be discussed openly in adult intelligent fashion. If there is corruption let the appropriate agencies do their job. But do not suppose that ALL such agencies are corrupt because they are not. If agencies look at the allegations and do not act just maybe there is no corruption. It is everybody’s right to vote so if you don’t care for a candidate don’t call him names vote him out. If the majority of Lake County’s citizens agree with you then you have been successful. Trash talking is hurting your cause trust me.
 

You may want to take note that the implementation of the next phase of operations has happened with perfect timing of the nationwide CNN reporting of the corruption in our county. The beginning of the next phase as described above was timed directly with the Nationwide report.(you may wonder why and how they knew this ahead of time) If anyone in the LE or this county thinks these people are a fly by the seat of their pants lightweight bunch of punks, as you describe, think again, they have warned you over and over. If Mr. Mitchell or Mr Hopkins at this point wish to contact them to begin a negotiated vacating of their offices, they may want do so through the above posted e-mail method. Think twice before blowing off that offer, I doubt it would be offered again.

I am Proudly employed in Lake County Law Enforcement. Up, until now I have not posted on this blog but I have been following it for awhile. I saw all the mad blogger stuff over the weekend. I spoke to trusted co-worker about it and they told me they knew who was involved. It was two fellow co-workers, their wives and a second couple who are not with Law Enforcement. I have always been proud of my work in Law Enforcement but I feel ashamed over their actions. I don't know the persons mentioned in those posts personaly but I know of them. I have no opinion one way or another about them. I want to stay out of this but what these people did is cyber-stalking. To Protect and Serve has nothing to do with stalking, harassment and libel! I'm not sure if I should go forward and report what I know now or wait until after the election.
 

Why are there so many postings have have appeared previously? Is this blog loosing its effectiveness? The last few postings are all reruns.

09/10/07 – Brian Lande was hired by the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.

12/12/08 – Brown contacted Rivero and inquired about the discriminatory comment that Ringen described. Rivero provided information, once ordered to by Brown. Rivero did not confirm Ringen’s account. I wouldn't get to excited re-run paranoia man. We re-post many times as we bump to new pages, the on-going thread gets lost, or if there is critical information that gets moved to far up the page and we want to make sure everyone see's it, then there will be re-posts. GOTTA LOVE THE TIME LINE....nothing like hearing from Rivero's only voice what is there.
 

The poster at LCSO is out side of Mitchells office and was featured on the channel 7 report indicating what an ignorant, small minded person he and the corrupt counterparts who support him are. The post had a man pinned to the ground in a headlock and blood pouring out of his mouth and nose. The caption was Forethought: think twice before messing with a deputy sheriff. The poster was seen by the entire nation and everyone was appalled at this poster. It should the troubling thought process which exists in the local LE and as well the true mind of this sick man. It was a very stupid move on Mitchells part and of course what will be a contributing factor to his down fall.
 

Ok LE folks lets talk about the racial issues. any of you LE's want to talk about the past history of the sopher reese(spelling) theater in down town Lakeport, you remember when a lot of Spanish movies were being played there and the local Sheriff would hide out and jump the hispanics coming in and out of the theater. What happened to them after you guys jammed them into your patrol cars? Lot of bad bad stories out there concerning that, talked to a guy today who confirmed this, and get this he is a former sheriff officer who confirms the racial problems that have always taken place in this corrupt county. Any comments boys, well with the exception of the usual denial of anything being wrong?
 

No one will get any help from Rob Brown, he has been a racist most of his life. This is for the old timers: Do you remember the car wreak that happened in the Finley area back in the 1970's where a young man was killed and Rob Brown was his buddy and was in the car with him. Supposedly some hispanic males who where here picking pears chased-caused the crash and from then on Rob hates hispanics.
 

8:17... yes this is the message i want my kids to get. I want them to know if they act like a thug, they will be treated like a thug. My kids know the deputies are the good guys. They like the ones they know and respect all LEO.

KGO's Dan Noyes investigated allegations of rampant racial profiling and discrimination by the Lake County Sheriff's Department.
Rookie officer Brian Lande, who left the department, alleged that deputies used the derogatory term, "Joses," for anyone who looked Mexican. These "Joses" were reportedly singled out at DUI checkpoints. In one case, reports Noyes, officers driving three suspects in the back of their patrol car reportedly slammed on the brakes, hurling the men into the screen that divides the front and back seats -- a practice apparently called the "screen test." Meanwhile, Deputy Francisco Rivero claimed he was called a wetback. He and other officers eventually filed a discrimination complaint with the EEOC. The Lake County Board of Supervisors conducted an independent investigation of the incident and the U.S. Department of Justice is also looking into allegations of racial profiling.

Lake County Sheriff Rodney Mitchell, who vowed to launch his own investigation, tackled various accusations in recent emails to Noyes. Mitchell said they did not find evidence of racial profiling at the DUI checkpoint. The emails also addressed the brouhaha over a poster outside the sheriff's office and a "Jose Doe" remark made during a meeting. And about that screen test, Mitchell said:


"There are no reports of injuries that could be attributed to someone's face impacting the security screen in a patrol car. Mitchell found that from the day Rivero was hired in May 2007 to March 2009, when Rivera filed the complaint, 13% of the 3,890 people arrested by the department were Hispanic. Mitchell says these numbers and the arrest stats of Rivero and other officers "do not support allegations of a pattern of discriminatory enforcement ... by my department at large."

I am a white women, with no criminal backround. I was arrested in my own garage, for false accusations, and that I had been drunk in public. (In my own garage) I do not have a criminal record. The Deputy never put a seat belt on me! I asked him to as he drove over the speed limit, I was fearful, something I will never forget! I will come forward soon, and testify if I must!
