"16 years of promises kept" Rodney you got to be kidding! Does this include "My Ignorance is my Responsibility" about funds misappropriated by his department! I voted for you before but you have become a big embarrassment for our county!!
 

I think sheriff mitchell and his "boys" are responsible for many folks refusing to come to lake county to visit. Are the business owners who support mitchell for real? I was visiting a friend, in a neighboring county, and the topic at the gas station was lake county. I heard a lady talking to a group of folks telling them what a corrupt area lake is. She also said what a rotten jerk the lake sheriff is. I also heard the same conv. at a convience store. So lake county can thank it's corrupt employees, for the tourist season that never was. Face it lake, if you don't change, and stop your corrupt habits, I don't see how that county will survive. I also heard many conv. about how much fraud that is going on there. It is obivious to me why there are so many sex offenders,felons, drug addicts, and prostitutes living in lake county. Congrats sheriff mitchell, your not fooling anyone, lake is one of the worst counties in CA.
 

Correction: It's not a bad county, It's a corrupt county! Once the GOB Network becomes disfunctional, which is happening as we speak, the citizens will once again have the control and the county will be on the road to recovery! MITCHELL-HOPKINS-PERDOCK-FRACE-AND THOSE WITHIN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, will be outed and Lake County will once again be on the map but in a more postive way! 4X
 

Mitchell's Ignorance is costing us tons of money in Law suits. If his Ignorance is his responsibility, then is he going to pay the money when the County loses. Mitchell took an oath to up hold the constitution and the laws of California. A persons Ignorance of the law has never been a legal defense.
The Oath that Mitchell took must have been the one that says: I Rodney K. Mitchell promise to mislead the voters with lies and cover-ups,. I promise to protect my Family and Close Friends from prosecution for criminal acts committed. I promise to promote only those that are close friends, regardless of how incompetent they are. After reading some of this blog about the sheriffs dept. It appears to have many, many problems for a small department of less then 200 employees. The things about mismanagement must be very true for such a small department. It appears that management has failed to supervise some of the rank and file members as well as the GOB system appears to be alive and well. I would hate to have my sons working a in department that has so many problems. Can someone tell us why we should vote for his guy Mitchell?

SOOOOOOOOOOOOO back to the business at hand, which is the removal of Mitchell and Hopkins from office, and it appears that is going quite well. Rivero is really hitting the streets hard. And this is what it will take in June to win this thing. Everyone volunteer your time and effort as much as possible.

Hey everyone, quite the little fire storm yesterday evening, anyway we could see that thread taking over the blog for the night so we took down all the connected posts. Yes both Liz and her side kick asked the post's to be taken down. Looks like they got their feelings hurt a bit. Looking at where it was going which was going to be a long drawn out thread not really focused on Mitchell and Hopkins we started over. Anyone have a post removed who thinks it should go back up, just post it or e-mail it to us, just so we don't drag out a long thread on the problems with our local reporting. All of us know the situation, we know the work we are doing is right, and we know we have made a huge difference so far in our county. Everyone keep up the good work!! It is our job to expose the hard truths we don't have to worry about relationships and what the elected officials think. We don't care about how upset they get concerning anonymity, we know its huge importance to what we are accomplishing. Bottomline is we are leading the charge for the removal of Mitchell and Hopkins and that citizens is the most important goal.

Lake County has one of the worst records in the state for convictions as charge after jury trial. Yet the incumbent thinks things are going well, and morale is ok.

###Recently, one person associated with the Hopkins campaign approached several businesses and others in the community who support my campaign. She has challenged them as to their "loyalties" and why they won't support the incumbent. While there are many reasons to not support the incumbent, it seems that needs to be said is a reference to Bismarck Dinius (boating case) or the Renado Hughes (home invastion reobbery/murder prosecution of the non-shooter). You might say those were just disagreements between the prosecution and the jury. But it doesn't stop there. Recently, the incumbent has demonstrated how far touch with the public he truly is. ### Last week, all thress candidates for district attorney appeared at two separate events in Clearlake. These were purely political events and neither could be seen as having any governmental purpose. No one could argue that Mr. Hopkins was present at these events in any capacity other than candidate. ###Yet he appeared at both driving his county-owned car (assign to the district attorney for offical use) round-trip from Lakeport to Clearlake. Not once but twice. This was even while knowing that the second trip was to another one that would be moderated by Jim Comstock, County Supervisor for District one. Apparently he believes even the county supervisors would approve of him using county property for personal purposes.

###Apparently he'll investigate a sheriff's department employee for helicopter flight training during work hours. But using county funds to attend a personal campaign event is acceptable hehavior if you're the district attorney. Perhaps he believes President Nixon did (I paraphrase), that "if the District Attorney does it, it's not illegal." The letter continues-if you believe as I do, Lake County has been embarrassed enough by Mr. Hopkins---

I believe the booking sheet said it was a "commitment." If that is correct then she has already been convicted and now is serving her sentence. I doubt she will have the ability to send anything via computer while in the jail.

I don’t get this. Mitchell and Hopkins say that the right man was charged, and yet Dinius was found not guilty on all charges. If he’s not guilty then he can’t have been the right man to charge. If he’s not guilty then the Mitchell/Hopkins clan is saying that nobody is guilty because they clearly are not going to charge Purdock. All the Mitchell supporters out there seem to do a lot of name calling and they stubbornly insist that he’ll win, but I can’t seem to get anyone to explain how Dinius could still be considered the “Right man” to charge; if he’s not guilty then he’s not guilty. I’ve looked at the Mitchell web site and it offers no clarification. I do see a lot of dog training there which is quite ridiculous because when I called the LCSO I was told that they no longer have any K-9 units. Why can’t I seem to get any straight facts from the Mitchell campaign? If you want my vote ,Mitchell, then don’t give me excuses for past failings, give me some tiny straw to grasp at! Don’t tell me you didn’t know about Garzoli, tell me that you did something, anything, to show some level of management.
 

This whole blog is here because Russell Perdock killed Lynn Thorton and did not face justice and continues to be paid even after it is proven he lied in court and partisapated in the investigation by accessing files. Sheriff Mitchell conducted a bias investigation protecting and continues to protect Russell Perdock. Jon Hopkins prosecuted Bismarck Dinius after the statute of limitations ran out for charges against Russell Perdock even after new evidence was being uncovered. The people of Clear Lake will speak and send a very loud message to Sheriff Mitchell and Jon Hopkins. That message will be back your bads and get out of town.
 

Well excellent post's today, let me clear a few things up for the record. And representing the citizens and this fantastic blog I will speak openly and to the point. You can take your libel bantering and shove it up your ass. We have done more research on this then you can imagine, we know exactly where we stand. If we do anyone a favor and take down a thread or a post, that is our choice not yours or anyone else's period. We run this site and we will run it the way we want to. Time and time again people have tried to shut this site down, 100's of cut and paste's threats, anger, you name it these people have tried to throw it at us, but oh here we are, and here we will stay! We have turned in two supervisors and Rodney Mitchell himself in to Anita Grant in a reporting of information to her concerning these peoples activities. You may think what you see on this blog is all we are doing think again, we have more iron's in the fire then your feeble minds can imagine.

In closing let's talk turkey, you want to go at us one on one bring it. We have been around a long long time and have had dealings with far greater advesary's then the likes of those in this county. If we see Media or government officials in the wrong we will call you on it, you don't like it cause it has never happened before, well it is happening now, and it will continue. All of you get off your high horse or we will knock you out of the saddle and throw the saddle down after you. You don't like it then speak the truth show transparency and be honest with the citizens and what your relationships are with those you are in collusion with.

A Suisun cop (his dog's name is Rex) the other day said that he has a buddy in Lake County law enforcement that has a dog, but then his boss just got busted, in Suisun. for lying, which is sanctioned there perhaps, and for police brutality and breaking the hip and pelvis and jaw of a senior citizen because she wouldn't get out of bed and dress in front of at least four other officers.

Then again, stranger things have happened noticed but unreported in Lake County to senior citizens and children.

They are too afraid to come forward and a society will be judged on how they treat their children and their elderly.

If this lady dies as a result of the complications broken hip, jaw and pelvis no matter what kind of lawyer she could afford on her pension of $1080 would bring her back, but I am sure you all feel safer in your beds since he LOUDLY insisted she get out of hers, even though she was terminally ill. I was unaware that Perdock owned the lake, but with that statement Yolo County should bail him out. Seems his story has a leak in it. Then again, who profited by selling our lake down the river to Yolo? Could it be an earlier version of the “good old boys”?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Clear Lake and the County of Lake is the crown jewel of California, which USED to be the sixth largest COUNTRY in the world. All this in my lifetime, can you imagine? I must be getting old. I sure do miss Henry Mauldin. Of course I don’t want to tangle with the good old boys of Lake County. It’s even open season on peace officers from other counties.

Hey everybody, this indeed has been a great day of posting I am going to clear up a few items based on the last two days events. First off (and I will be direct and to the point) You can take your libel and lawsuit bantering and shove it up your ass. Sorry to be so frank but we are going to call this as it is. You don't like it to bad. We have researched this up one side and down the other, and we do not fear in the least that line of crap.

When we pull down a thread or set of post's as we see fit, and not by anyone's admonition, we are here for the citizens, we are not here for the entrenced media, who's bias reeks of collusion. The local media in this county has to many buddies and friends in the LE and in the BOS and we will report on it as we see fit. You don't like it to bad.

You want to go one on one with us bring it. We have had every method in the book tried on us to shut this site down, and oh look it is up and running and will stay up. We knew yesterdays thread was going to go to long on the issues with LCN, so we pulled down all the posts and set it back up, as you can see those people have re-posted their comments and up they will stay. Don't try to push us around, the real problem is no one has taken anyone to task in this county in a long time, and that is going to end. If we see local Media or LE or BOS in the wrong we will allow the citizens to speak on it, we know our rights and no one is going to shut that down. You don't like that to is tough deal with it.

To the local Media please get off your high horse you are small time players in a small county. If you were worth your salt, you wouldn't be here. Don't think for a minute your going to control anything we will be heard and we will not stop until change happens. You want to get angry, you want to get in our face you want to make demands, think again. Great post today, the support is amazing and we are very grateful to everyone for their support. I want to make a few points based on the events of the last few days. Here is the situation we are tired of hearing all the bantering about libel and lawsuits etc etc. we and the citizens have a right to speak freely and we will. If we pull down a post or thread it is by our choice no one elses, period. Many times we will take down a thread if it is going to pull us away from our stated goal which is the removal of Mitchell and Hopkins from office, such as the LCN firestorm that occured yesterday.

Here is a message to the local media and those in government that would try to shut us down, we have had people trying to shut us down for months now, 100's of cut and pastes, and every manner and method you can imagine, and here we are still operating and we will continue to operate, we and the citizens know our rights and we will not be intimidated.

If we see untoward activity or collusion or relationships between media, LE, BOS or any local government agency we have an obligation to report it and the citizens have a right to report it.

We are here for the long haul and we are here for the citizens, the issue is that for to long no one has called to the carpet the people and the system that has run rampant in this county for to long.

As just a bit of overview, it appears that our local media is being played by the powers in place in our county, Anita Grant has had two supervisors and Rodney reported on to her for their activities which could be grounds for further action. There is a lot going on behind the scenes and it appears the local media has a bit of the rose colored glasses syndrome.
 

No, Carl Miller and Todd Miller are not related. One is short & fat, the other is tall with the mustache. This incident happened after they had been hammering down a few at Konocti, then heading back to the Clearlake side in Steve's Boat, along with Steve's "Body Guard". With a 911 call being made.... But if anyone out there has a Porn Video staring Carl Miller, be sure to let us know.. as we heard with all the drinking he has been doing, its real hard, to get "It" hard................

Much has been said over the past few days and I want to clear a few things up. We are here for the long haul, and we are here for the citizens, we will remove posts as we see fit and no one else will dictate to us when and how that is done. If we wish to remove a thread, as it is going to carry us to far off the mark, we will do so, as you can see the comments that were taken down when we were in moderation mode last night have been posted again by the citizens, and they will stay posted, this is our rights as citizens and no one will take that right away from us period.

We believe the local media has to close a realtionship to the LE and the BOS, and this has got to be brought out in the open and will be. For those of you who do not like this to bad.

The citzens have a right to speak and they will speak, for to long the status quo has been such that our county is ruled by collusion and a lack of transparency, and we nor the citizens will stand for it any longer. We are a strong and growing force in this county.

We are tired of hearing about libel and lawsuits, we have done our work well, we will not be intimitated we will expose all that needs to be exposed, and we will be here for the long haul.

When LE does a "investigation" Into Corruption, "They" do it in the dark. "They" Lie to get information,"They"Use "criminal Informants," "They" reward or pay them with our money. "They" supply the "Informant" with "Evidence" to entrap the "Corrupt" person or persons of "Interest," "They" use any and all avenues of investigative tools available to them to "Achieve their Goal." Most of the time it is all done Within The Law and is accepted by the citizens..... When the citizens become aware of perceived Corruption in their Local Law Enforcement Community and feel that "They" cannot be trusted to investigate themselves, Then it is the Duty of the Citizens to Investigate and Report their findings. Since the Citizens don't have access to the same tools, It is not fair competition. The difference is the Citizens have to do their investigation in the daylight for "All" to see. Since the Citizens Tools and experience are limited, There are bound to be mistakes made, That has to be expected. To dwell on the mistakes and Ignore the Truth is not how you do a investigation. I ask you. How far would the Law Enforcement get if they invited the Criminals to help in their own investigation? That's what we have here. If the Local Law Enforcement aren't interested in Rooting out corruption and upholding the law then don't stand in our way. If you have done nothing wrong you will be vindicated in the end. After all, Isn't that the same opportunity you afford the criminal in your investigation? What I am saying to LE is, LEAD, FOLLOW, or GET OUT OF THE WAY!

Hey, I thought it was illegal, or against county policy to politic on duty. Well, it seems that one of Rod Mitchell's butt kissers was doing just that. Apparently Don McPherson, the rangemaster, gave a class this weekend for concealed weapons. It seems that he was stating how great Mitchell is and how he hands out permits quite regularly. Then he said that "one of the other candidates" doesn't want to give out any permits. And then he said that the "other candidate" wants every person applying for a permit to take and pay for their own psychological exam.

Don, if you are going to illegally campaign on duty for Mitchell, you need to get your facts straight. Neither of the "other candidates" want to have people take a psychological exam to get a permit. It was only looked at because Sonoma County does it. After looking at it, it did not appear to be a logical thing to do.

Besides Don, I think you should be more concerned with your own problems. You know, like where are those missing ballistic vests, and how you were unable to supervise one person, Rusty Wright. Need I say more?

Oh, and the Easter Bunny told me that CPD's Chief will have the print out of Carl Miller's Facebook Logs before he set his profile as Private by Friday. Miller was a little too slow, as a City Official got all 20 pages printed out of drunken fun before everyone was blocked.

I got my personal copy the other day! Gotta get together with Lovelace, G, Batman, X-XXXXX and post it for all to enjoy. Maybe Miller will do the right thing.... take a leave of absence and go to rehab!! He can be a decent Cop, but when you add the Booze.. he turns into instant Hypocrit. I'd like to assure folks (again) that we are not logging IP addresses on this site. This seems to be the only active Lake County discussion forum that doesn't try to trace or track you in any way! That makes for quite a bit of interesting conversation of course.

Now, this leads into the ethics of free speech. Just because you CAN say anything you want, does that necessarily mean you SHOULD say it? I think it depends entirely on what kind of long-term implications there are. I tend to divide comments up into 4 different categories.

1. Demonstrably true, Demonstrably relevant
2. Demonstrably true, Questionably relevant
3. Questionably true, demonstrably relevant
4. Questionably true, questionably relevant

Comments of type 1 are my favorite! Comments of type 4 are my least favorite (unless they have punch lines). Comments of type 1 are most effective for toppling a corrupt local regime, IMHO... and their legality is beyond question, regardless of quality.

All this is saying that, If you wear a badge on or off duty, it's ok to break the law! Personally, I could give a shit what anyone does on their own time, but when it comes to right and wrong, Carl Miller should be disaplined for such actions!
 

Hi Everybody!

I'd like to assure folks (again) that we are not smartemough to comprehend how to use the trick of logging IP addresses on this site. This seems to be the only hatemonger blog, active Lake County discussion forum that doesn't try to trace or track you in any way because we can't ! That makes for quite a bit of interesting conversation of course.

Now, this leads into the ethics of Our version of n'tfree speech. Just because you CAN say anything you want, doesn't mean You can't that necessarily mean you SHOULD say ANYTHING WE DO IT? I think it depends entirely on what kind of long-term implications there are. I tend to divide comments up into 4 different categories.

1. will it ruin someone's day,life,relationship?
2. is it merely gossip?
3. is it something You heard from someone else who heard it?
4. will it elect Our candidate?

Comments of type 1 are my favorite! Comments of type 4 are my least favorite (unless they have punch lines). Comments of type 1 are most effective for toppling a local regime, IMHO.

Seems some postings have struck a nerve, how can that be? WTG everyone. If you did your damn job right people would be thanking you. Now, from what I have been told John Jensen and Liz Larson (LakeCoNews)are married. Both of them use to work for the Record Bee. John Jensen quit because the Record Bee would not print an article that he wrote. Liz Larson quit shortly thereafter. They then started LakeCoNews.

I was told that the article that the Record Bee would not print was a bit racist, is that true John? From what I was told you wrote that the mexicans were stealing all the white women and using up all the room in the emergency room. What say you, John?

11:38 / 11:40 (aka John), logging IP's is as easy as copying and pasting a bit of HTML code. What makes you think it's such a neat "trick"? Fascism isn't anything new, they've been doing it for years.
 

I think we will see a major turn out on election day and it will be very obvious what the public thinks about Sheriff Mitchell and Jon Hopkins. They will be put out of office and this will speak volumes on how politicians will need to conduct conduct themselves while holding office in Lake County. This change is way over due. Other business will be bringing Russell Perdock to face justice for killing Lynn Thorton.

Hey, how about you do the same? Or is the bottle permanently attached to your lips? It may not be right to drink and drive, but apparently he has taken care of his fines and jail time since they aren't coming after him. Unlike a lot of you LE that drink and drive on a regular basis. And let us not forget the other things that you guys do, like speeding, killing someone on a sailboat, using taxpayers money to obtain a pilot license, accepting gratuities, etc.

Please allow me to state again that not one of the bureaucrats I called a liar or did not adhere to their oath. has stood up and in view of all stated I am dishonest that I only mislead the truth. No they hide behind a corrupt government one they "can't talk about it." After meeting Brown,Smith ,Robey,Lewis and farrington It was easy to understand Mitchell and Hopkins. Cut from the same bolt of cloth called Lake county government.Its not only MItchell and Hopkins but their just one of the lot.

Protect Us (meaning the taxpayers and citizenry and USA) and prosecute Perdock. Nothing vague or general about that statement. Tourism, not terrorism. Clear, simple, precise and to the point. Of course there was just a "smattering" of people at that time... and now? All need come forward at the April 5th event in Library Park.
