To chastise the citizen(s) for looking out for our best interests I find insulting to say the least. In the future will you continue to decide who's best interest you will serve? Will it be in our best interest when we are not looking? It doesn't look very promising to me to have you question the citizen's motives for looking out for our best interests so early in the race. Now that I see what your attitude is, Is there anything else that might "turn up?" Signed, Citizens looking out for our best interests.
 

Great post from 440, nothing else needs to be said, and the question is still on the table, if in fact Mr. Baxter it looks at some point like you will not pull off a win, will you throw your support to Mitchell, it is a critical question along with the question of a solid citizens oversight plan and model that will be implemented if he were to become sheriff. Mr. Baxter can you give an answer to these critical questions?

So, Mitchell is the POA's choice for Sheriff. Having a kid just out of the academy like Frace as President was a major mistake. First Frace get's the POA sued by no other than Navarro and lost. Ringen even warned them about Navarro. This guy couldn't write a report to save his life.

Mitchell for Sheriff. Lets see, you don't care that Mitchell could not even review a simple DEA grant before signing it. Nor did Mitchell knew Garzoli was operating a helicopter, even though Garzoli wore a flight suit that had "pilot" on it. And you can't make me believe that Mitchell didn't know Howe and Garzoli were allowing children to ride on the DEA grant helicopter.

Than you got the entire Dinius case mess. Mitchell didn't lock the case out for all to read, could not control Perdock, fired Beland and allowed Morshed's testimony to go unpunished.

You would think Mitcehll would have learned the first time, but again he failed to lock out employees from a major in house criminal case. Wright was not arrested when in fact several sergeant's had proof Wright had committed a felony. Can you say Possession of Stolen Property?

"Jack Baxter is running for Sheriff here in Lake County, On his web site he has posted a link to your dept. stating that San Jose PD is supporting him in his campaign for sheriff. I would like to know if that is in fact true.If your Dept. is supporting Mr. Baxter, In what way? Thank you"< Their form said they would reply within 5 days. If anyone else sent a inquiry let me know what your response was.>
 

Hopkins is done and my vote is for Don Anderson. Mitchell is done and my vote will go the Baxter. I get it that Lovelace supports Rivero and I'm fine with their decision. I also get it that the endorsement issue has turned off some votes. I emailed Jack Baxter and point blank discussed our mutual friends from San Jose and asked if he was in fact a ringer. I gave my word I would not disclose his reply to anyone if he was a ringer and I would have been true to my word. I know he trusts me and his reply came in the form of a very long and touching reply. He is not a ringer, money is not an issue and his reasons for running are honest and sincere. Those that want to nail me to the cross feel free but I'm willing to accept the fact that Baxter is new to politics and just because his life long career contacts pledge support as individuals, he made a huge error by assuming any collective endorsement. I believe it to be that simple. Now, if any other blunders come my way I’m certainly capable in moving on. I just can’t and won’t support Mitchell.
 

Jack Baxter’s career was nothing but professional and dedicated. Putting his hat into this election was not so he could get another career in law enforcement, but rather a chance to help the community. He has no personal vendetta, like Rivero, and he is not trying to hold onto a position like Mitchell, that he has totally failed in. Best of all, he is not a politician but a career law enforcement professional. I like what I hear from him and think he is a refreshing candidate. I have no doubt he will be bashed on this site but I would expect nothing less from a blog with an agenda.

He will gain support.

I to sent a message to the SJPD after seeing that Baxter removed all the endorsements, and still left up the "supporting" aspect of his website, I expect to hear from them Monday or Tuesday.The Wright situation is amazing in that Rivero 4 sheriff is exactly correct, there was pre-arrest knowledge of Mr. Wrights activity, of course the cover on that was already blown when they arrested Wright on the exact day the article came out in Lake Co. News. Timing is to good on that one.

The Morshed situation is still smelling really bad, what are we 3 weeks into it and not a single word about finding any evidence on the items taken in the SW. It appears what is going to happen is they will try and hit him for some internal rule violation, nothing criminal, and begin the process of continued harrasment till he gets so tired of it he leaves. It is the same old tired routine with Mitchell same MO, same process of unfair discipline practices. Again, you can bet Morshed is locked down in this house from 8 to 4 and that sure the hell hasn't been the case with Garzoli or Perdock.
 

Post 7:50, no you are not going to get bashed here for showing support for Baxter, and we have been quite fair in our communications with Mr. Baxter, and we will be talking to him later this week. What we need to see from Mr. Baxter is a solid model of what he is going to attempt to do should he win the job of sheriff. Unlike the odd Mitchell supporters those that have indicated they are going to support Baxter, post well thought out comments, which we are always open and welcome on this site. There will also be tough questions, and Mr. Baxter has learned a tough lesson. We above all do not want a Mitchell clone, and we do support Rivero, but you as well need to be fair and remember the posts we have placed, Rivero does not have a bone to pick, or a vendetta, he see's the corruption and wants it to change. Rivero has said over and over, if a canidate he felt were to come into the race, and he felt he could have a better chance of winning over Mitchell then him, he would throw his votes that persons way. Now he may not see Baxter as having that potential nor do we. But the statement is a clear statement of concern for the citizens not for himself. Will Baxter make the same statement? It is an honest and open question, and will Baxter support and create a model of citizen oversight, that works in concert with the citizens? A fair and open question, perhaps you can get us the answers to those questions.

Baxter would have been a good choice, but the screw up on his web site just keeps me thinking of Mitchell not reading the DEA grant. Than you have him showing up at Rivero's speeches and not debating with him.

8:55 PM We all make mistakes. Mitchell was elected over and over again. We the voters make mistakes too. Agreed that Baxter made a mistake but I for one believe it was just that, a mistake. Mitchell on the other hand has made one mistake after the other but not because of a mis-understanding but due to Mitchell's "Power Run A Muck". Why don't you set up a debate between Baxter & Rivero? We all want a change and maybe we can settle our differences once and for all. Mitchell's got to go and either Baxter or Rivero need our support.
 

Does SAR not see that we are trying to expose Rod for who he is....a thief, and to expose the fact that the sheriff is in control of the donation GRANTED to Lake County Search and Rescue ASSOC?
 

Baxter is a good choice for Sheriff. I suggest that anyone who needs information about him or his position should contact him at baxter4sheriff@aol.com. I am retired law enforcement and contacted him and was quite impressed with him as a retired law enforcement officer and his views on being sheriff. He is a good choice and quite able to speak for himself. Should you have questions about him or his policies get the answers from him directly.

You want a debate between Baxter and Rivero? Baxter has been at two meetings so far with Rivero, but never spoke up. I don't see a problem with you suggestion. I'd like to know how he will handle the GOB's since he doesn't know who they are? I think you need someone how can stay more than four years and Baxter already said he would only do one term. I also would like to know what he will do. Rivero has his plan posted on his web, but Baxter does not.

R4S - Baxter showed up at theLake Co. Democratic Party meeting which Rivero had asked to speak at. He was asked to introduce himself and did bug he was not invited to speak or debate. That had been requested by Rivero so he respected that.

The following week he showed up at the Moose Lodge which was organized as a town hall meeting for Rivero supporters to listen to what he had to say. He was not invited to speak and was not aware the meeting had been organized by the Rivero committee. He did meet Frank outside and asked if he minded him sitting in and Frank graciously invited him to do so and openly introduced him acknowledging his presence. He did not ask to address the group since that was not the purpose of that meeting. Those he did talk to outside were invited to contact him with questions they may have of him.

He has met Frank Rivero three time and these meetings have always been friendly and cordial. He said Riivero has been friendly and open to discussion of issues the agree on and those they disagree on.

He shares many of our own views about it being time to change from the present sheriff's administration. So, for those who would brand him as a diabolical spy or a Mitchell you are quite mistaken.

This is Lovelace, here's how we see part of this, as the campaign goes forward there will be opportunity for debate's we are sure. We said all the way back in October that the dyanmics of this election was going to be evolving non-stop over the course of the next 5 to 6 months, and sure enough we have had Marty in Marty out Baxter in, Baxter almost out, Back in now. Mitchell, Garzoli, Morshed, Wright, Perdock, not to mention Hopkins antics, and through it all we had to deal with the likes of post 9:23, we knew a battle was brewing, and from a lot of different directions was the wind going to blow. And so it has. We and the citizens participating have created a virtual internet communication action and information network. That having been said.

That having been sayed here are the Lovelace groups requests, during this next phase in the county. Please stay away from major "billboarding" on the site. There are a few people who have earned shall we say a degree of lee-way for the huge amount of help and information which is pretty damn accurate, as well as time they have spent communicating with the other citizens, one of those is Rivero 4 sheriff. In other words lets not turn the blog into a Caps posting moniker festival with constant so and so for sheriff postings. Lets discuss all the issues, and remember Mitchell and Hopkins must go. But we cannot lower ourselves to the corruption supporters methods if there is a difference of opinion with Rivero or Baxter we can discuss it in detail.

For those that think they have decided on Baxter, we would suggest to hold your choice, this has a long way to go, we know one think right now, we know what we got in Rivero, Baxter has a long way to go in detailing his position, you may find not all he is you can support. We are a bit surprised that a choice has been made so quickly, none the less we respect that decision, but there is a lot about Rivero you have and a lot you still have not. seen, but you haven't seen much of Baxter. Just a thought.

Profanity out, except for the few times Lovelace defers to the right of usage based on level of pissed off we get, but that is a rare time that happens.

post 956, we were not that dramatic as your posting. Listen that bit of investigative work by a sharp guy who had a hunch was an excellent display of citizen participation and checking on what;s going to happen in our county. We are not going to close our eyes anymore, everything will be check, the pressure on the BOS will continue, as well as everything going on in the public's courthouse. It was our job to begin to "potentially" theorize what was possibly going on. The skeptics can lable that what you want we call it what activist can do and a newspaper cannot. Ask Questions, have discussion, when you open the door to theory and discussion amongst a large group of citizens, you will gather the necessary information to get at the truth, if in that process you want to try and label that "diabolicial spying", then we would have to disagree, and suggest that might be to dramatic a description. Wouldn't you agree now that you understand the model?

I believe Rivero is the candidate for Sheriff. He has a better hold on management skills than Mitchell. If you work at LCSO you would know that it's Marybeth who does the financing and budgeting not Mitchell, he just signs the checks after being briefed. It is Marybeth that keeps the cash flowing and the bills in check. Oh but Mitchell and his GOB's will tell you it's Mitchell because he is Sheriff. If that is true, why doesn't Mitchell take responsibility for the Dinius mess, Perdock's mismanagement, Garzoligate and Wright's goofed up arrest. Oh and lets not forget that stupid photo shot of the new shelter or not supporting Sgt.Basor's actions in Haiti?

Speaking of Morshed, why did Martin in the PC statement for the warrant had to state Morshed has an EEOC complaint against the department? I thought an EEOC complaint supposed to be free of harassment and I saw no reason for that being in it. Martin had more than enough PC without mentioning the EEOC complaint. If what they are looking for is not found, stand by because I smell a big suit coming on! Here we got again!

well 6:31. the way law enforcement acts up in lake county, it is not safe to live there, rive there, or vacation there. Not even mentioning coming foward to speak out. The cops can get get away with murder and throw the wrong person in jail for many years. As they have recently proven with DInius.

I think lovelace has stepped up to the plate where many others continue to hide there in opinions in fear of backlash from law enforcement.

I hope Lovelace can leverage it's blogger base into a viable, and respectable organization that can keep governmant honest. While and working with LE in the future with without fear of backlash.
 

Good post and exactly what will happen, imagine with the current environment if we had come in the usual hi this is who we are and we don't like you approach, the corruption supporters would have beat us into submission the way they have all the other people in this county for the past 15 years who have spoken up. We saw this in the beginning of our plan, and knew we were going to have to go anonymous for quite awhile. This is where the "head in the sand" BOS and others had lost touch with the reality of this corrupt organization in our county, this is why they are so upset, as they do not have a target to point at yet they are dodging bullets of transparency and justice right and left. This had to be done this way, we take a lot of heat for the anonymous postings, and that is just the nature of the beast right now. When the hard work is done, and the battlefield is softened up enough the normal ground troops will come in and who we are will be known. But we are not foolish enough to allow that to happen prior to when it should, we will not give the Mitchell supporters that opportunity. Sorry guys the old ways are not going to work this time around.
 

7:30 it appears there is no movement on the dog shooting incident, it will take the ownr to go directly to Burke for there to be action, we do not know if the owner has done so. The filing of a complaint is critical, if the owner has done so, then they need to let us know that has been done. Not just a phone call a direct filed complaint, they will not take the information random for a unasscoiated citizen in this type of situation, if the compliant has been filed please let us know ASAP, we have been told it was not, our group had a discussion on this last night. If anyone has an update on the complaint filing status let us know.

You know what's sad, my parents have lived in Lake County for over 30 years and they are moving out of the county. They don't feel safe with the Sheriff's Department or the fact that the hospital has gone down to 25 beds. It's sad that they are scared at their age of the police and not of cancer or breaking a hip. Their exact words were "if someone like Dinius can have his life ruined then so could we in a blink of an eye." They were part of the good group that gave much to the community in Lake County for over 30 years....So sad...They don't see a future for such a pretty county...
 

I have to agree with your parents, about lake county being a dangerous place to live. The sheriff got away with killing somebody, then has the nerve to prosecute dinius, instead of the person who caused the accident, what a bunch of corrupt AH. Lake county is famous for making a victim into a criminal. Good luck to your parents, there is a lot of pretty places to live, and they are NOT lake county!
 

it is sad 8:13 and again it is the totality of the county government from the corruption supporters to the head in the sand BOS to the judges etc. that are not wise on the street and do not understand the underlying current that exists. Let's talk for a moment as an example about the BOS. 500,000 dollars a year we pay for these 5 supervisors, A half a million dollars a year, the citizens know that these members understand the sweet job they have created for themselves. There is a Tuesday meeting, averaging 4 to 7 hours, and the usual venues to attend to try and keep the citizens fooled. They concentrate on their own personal agenda's far more then the county's. We guarentee the BOS put's no more then 27 to 30 hours a week in actual work hours, some supervisors less then that. Ask them about December, they went 3 weeks in a row and never had even a Tuesday meeting, we know of several that were out of town on their own personal business for at least a couple of weeks during December. They know what they have, and they are entrenced and don't want to let it go, Farrington is more concerned about his career and going getting his law degree, and moving on to washington. We are not sure what Smith and Comstock do, but they never speak much to the public. Rushing has an agenda that is 70 percent her own personal matters and 30 percent the work of the county. Rob Brown is a lameduck, and if no one runs aganist Denise she is the default winner of her election. This is a sad state of affairs. We have been watching their hours of work for several months now, and it don't add up to 500,000 a year by any stretch of the imagination. While this goes on people like your parents are moving out of the county, such a shame that these members are so clueless of the reality of this county. Look at what Mitchell and Hopkins have done right under their nose's. This has got to change.
 

Will Russell Perdock ever be held accountable for killing Lynn Thorton? Hopefully the ones that covered for him and continue to cover for him will be sent packing from Lake County.

He allowed Perdock access to very important information in reports, etc,. He failed to take command of the investigation. He continues to fail in providing direction for the Sheriff's Dept. Sheriff Mitchell does not promote harmony within the Department not all employees are treated fairly. Sheriff Mitchell does not
encourage team-building. Sheriff Mitchell has made many, many mistakes while being Sheriff the Perdock cover-up, the Garzoli head landing, another

Sheriff-Coroner Mitchell is DIRECTLY responsible for the investigation of all hospice deaths, during which the (dead) patient's drugs are seized and no questions are asked. Am I wrong?

There aren't too many counties that investigate hospice deaths, are there?

I'd be interested to compare drugs reported vs. drugs seized. When the AG and his posse finally trot through town, that might be a good place to start.
 

James H. I am glad that you have come to justice without hate. I think I did talk to you about this and I am glad you agree. In order to be effective you must remove yourself from the unjustness and the unreasonableness because with the corrupt you don't have that spirit and will never understand why ANYONE would victiize the innocent. Once you take the "hate emotion" out of the equation it is easier to see the solution to a puzzle and fix the situation to one that serves the innocent.
As you know the evil that is in the courthouse extends to the streets and there is where the evidence of events shows. If Mitchell goes so will his "group" and to disperse them just means that they will put down root, like the weeds they are, somewhere else.
These cancerous lesions (all that helped Mitchell with his murder and mayhem) need to be cut out. They need to have nowhere to hide and no where to exist and they will simply and quietly die by "natural" causes. This can be done at the ballot box and then when they are not existing on the taxpayers dollar they will simpply dry up and blow away. We don't need the community put in more terror. Peace.

Before the running for sheriff started, Rivero posted his Priorities in six simple steps. Baxter or Mitchell to this date still has not.

Seems deputies are scared about the Citizen's Review Board, but did not listen to what type of Review Board Rivero wants to set up. As he explained on the radio interview/debate, the board would be made of professionals such as retired DA Investigator Brown (as an example) and other retired cops/investigators. It is not made of persons who have no law enforcement experience. It allows not only the citizen's to complain without reprisal, but deputies too. What deputy has not seen management go after a deputy just because they didn't like him/her.

Rivero complained about racial injustice and filed an EEOC report. Mitchell and the BOS has that finished report, but refuses as of this date to release the findings.

In an attempt (and a good one) at turning the racial complaint against Rivero, Mitchell had Lande's four FTO's publicity chastised Lande on the LCSO website. Mitchell authorized the video knowing all well that Lande only complained about Sgt. Chawaswski and not his three FTO's. That is also why Deputy Andrews never mentioned Chawcawski.

During a radio debate, Rivero warned Mitchell about his out of control management having to pay out for improper discipline. Mitchell denied that, but when Rivero called him on it, Mitchell said nothing. It appears Mitchell forgot about when the county had to pay back Ringen for wrongful discipline. That case made LDF case law.

Yes we need a New Sheriff, and it's not Baxter. Frank Rivero will lead the Sheriff's Dept. out of the mess that Mitchell and his crew has done. Unfortunately We the taxpayers of Lake Co. will be paying millions and millions of dollars to clean-up the Mitchell admin mess. Mitchell and the BOS refusal to release the EEOC report make us think that Mitchell allowed Racial injustice to occur within and outside the Department. Mitchell management team failed to correct it. Any smart Manager/Supervisor would have put a stop to it immediately and would have taken corrective action. What are we paying him and his Command staff to do ? Yep, I have seen Mitchell ruin deputies lives. He promoted Brown to Captain but he never supervised any patrol deputies. He promoted Captain Esburg and put her in charge of deputies and she had never even been to an academy. He promoted Lieutenant Hall who, as a sergeant, had his entire shift almost come to a screaming stop on pro-activity. He promoted Perdock (do I need to say more?) and Morshed.

Mitchell has no common sense. How can he promote Esburg to a Captain and put her in charge of Deputies!! She couldn't run the Jail effectively. Mitchell surrounded himself with the Department's losers. They couldn't lead a dog to water without getting lost a time or two. I bet Esburg gave Mitchell something. No wonder the Sheriff's Department has no real leadership under Mitchell.

This is Lovelace, one of the more insane aspect of Mitchells regime, is the issues centered around his terribly inconsistent discipline practices, To see the like of Garzoli and Perdock still hanging on, to see Morshed being handled in a totally different manner and essentially in lock down. To see what they have done in comparision to Beland for example, is a sign of totally misguided leadership based on his GOB's being kept around him while he hammers others who are not in the fold. This is a sign of leadership gone bad we think the future is going to hold more of this insane and bizarre judgement on this part, it appears that Mitchell is oblivious to how these things look, and is opening up a can of lawsuit worms that has the potential to destroy the county. Mitchells mis-judgements in this regard are almost if not criminal. He is willing in front of the public to destroy one persons life while protecting anothers whose crimes have been far worse, and the public is fed up with it. We will also have to be cautious as the election moves on and his potential for winning becomes more and more unlikely he, we suspect, is going to be willing to cover for each and every person who has kept their pact with him. A sad state of affairs indeed. You see this happens even with our highest politicians, the "presidental pardon" at the end of a term is the perfect example of this, but Mitchell accomplishes this 10 fold with no concern for the public outcry.
 

Garzoli was the worst of the worst. He was a lair, a sexist and a bully with a badge. Perdock, another lair, said fellow deputies were lairs and well known for retaliations. Brown, never supervised any deputies as a sergeant and another one known for retaliation. Great choice Mitchell.

The Young man had a small amount of pot, Dutra wanted to know where he got it from, the young man would not tell him, Dutra says to the kid "look down at your floor board and then see if you want to talk" and there is a bag of crank which suddendly appeared on the floor. The Young man said F*** Y***! He was arrested, the result in the end is what you just read, no case, lack of evidence. Dutra does not show up. This circus called the sheriffs department is an absolute mess, how can Mitchell look at himself and say, man I am doing a great job, the level of illusion he must live under is scary. It is amazing that we citizens from all walks of life and age and demographics who all say I am scared of the sheriffs department. This is stunning, it is actually hard to imagine there could actually be such a place functioning as a sheriffs department. This would be great Hollywood comedy if it was so true. This site was also the first to publish the Wright investigation that indicated sergeant's knew Wright had committed a felony and did not arrest him.

I am only here to give support to all that believe Mr.Dinius was abused. That the actions of Mitchell and Hopkins were deplorable. My view is they tried to blame all the actions that night on only one person. They allowed bad judgment to protect one of their own, interfering for what was right. In todays Lake Co. news article on the DA investigators wanting to severe ties to the DSA and SO, We have posted excerpts from the BOS conversaation. This is quite interesting, as underneath all the words, is the basic concept of the DA investigators: i.e. We do not want to be associated with the DSA any longer, they are corrupt, the GOB network is in place, and we do not want to be associated with them any longer. Now read the posted excerpts from the article and see if we arn't calling it what it really is.


She said they do investigations pertaining to all facets of local government. “For that reason we want to be able to be a separate entity so there's no implication of propriety or conflict of interest.”

Their goal is to not be attached to others so people can't say, “'Well, it's the good old boys and they're looking out for each other,'” she explained, adding that they want to conduct investigations as cleanly and efficiently as possible.
Because the district attorney's investigators sometimes are called on to investigate sheriff's employees in criminal matters, “they felt that it would be helpful to reduce any perceived bias or conflict of interest,”

but I can see the investigators' point in wanting to separate, mostly because of the point that Martina brought up about investigating crimes that involve other members of the association or things of that nature

To Lovelace post 9:09. We do not support Hopkins or Mitchell because of many things that have occurred. In the Sheriff’s race we are leaning toward Baxter and for DA leaning toward Rhoades. We agree changes are needed and that each person will make their own decisions as to who they should vote for based on their evaluation of the candidates. Our comment about a fair exchange of ideas is that we can discuss issues with out name calling and rumor mongering as some anonymous posters do.
 

Well you should read the whole blog perhaps you are new to the site, and have missed those posts, we described clearly that as the election process goes forward, we want a professional exchange of ideas, well instead of re-hashing all of that we will just post what we put up as the guidelines for going foward.

This is Lovelace, here's how we see part of this, as the campaign goes forward there will be opportunity for debate's we are sure. We said all the way back in October that the dyanmics of this election was going to be evolving non-stop over the course of the next 5 to 6 months, and sure enough we have had Marty in Marty out Baxter in, Baxter almost out, Back in now. Mitchell, Garzoli, Morshed, Wright, Perdock, not to mention Hopkins antics, and through it all we had to deal with the likes of post 9:23, we knew a battle was brewing, and from a lot of different directions was the wind going to blow. And so it has. We and the citizens participating have created a virtual internet communication action and information network. That having been said.

That having been sayed here are the Lovelace groups requests, during this next phase in the county. Please stay away from major "billboarding" on the site. There are a few people who have earned shall we say a degree of lee-way for the huge amount of help and information which is pretty damn accurate, as well as time they have spent communicating with the other citizens, one of those is Rivero 4 sheriff. In other words lets not turn the blog into a Caps posting moniker festival with constant so and so for sheriff postings. Lets discuss all the issues, and remember Mitchell and Hopkins must go. But we cannot lower ourselves to the corruption supporters methods if there is a difference of opinion with Rivero or Baxter we can discuss it in detail.

For those that think they have decided on Baxter, we would suggest to hold your choice, this has a long way to go, we know one think right now, we know what we got in Rivero, Baxter has a long way to go in detailing his position, you may find not all he is you can support. We are a bit surprised that a choice has been made so quickly, none the less we respect that decision, but there is a lot about Rivero you have and a lot you still have not. seen, but you haven't seen much of Baxter. Just a thought.

In closing we do not want to hear a lot about the anonymous aspect of this site. Unless you are unaware of the danger and attacks upon anyone who does not agree with Mitchell and his corruption supporters, you will not understand the need for our anonymity. We started this site in September of 09, and we knew going in what was going to be needed to keep it viable. Yes with anonymity there is going to be more un-savory posts that are seen, we work very hard on keeping the site on a productive level. Funny the worst of the offenders are the corruption supporters. Hopefully this clears up the issues you may have had or questions.
 

We have been hearing a lot about Baxter making a representation that SJPOA was supporting him when it is said that they are not. What about Rivero and Ringen going to the Redwood Empire Chapter of PORAC and telling them that they had proxy from the Lake County Deputies to vote to support Rivero when in fact they didn’t. No we are not Mitchell supporters.
 

Okay for those who want to support Baxter, it is a fair choice, but not a good one. I what to take you back in time to a poster who did some research.

It was a poster here that found Baxter was not telling the truth about his supporters. In a list of over 20 organizations and others, a blogger found that NONE would confirm support for Baxter. Baxter was caught, said it was a mistake and changed that support down to four.

Interesting since one is a former San Jose Police officer and the other is his wife (Kelseyville Pharmacy). So when you deduct that, only ONE family supports Baxter.

To this date, Baxter has not shown up for any lectures or debates. He has shown up at Rivero's, speeches but did not make any speeches himself. I hope that changes soon.

If you are a Baxter supporter, change his mind and lets here him debate. Lets hear his idea's of turning a department around, returning the public trust and kicking out the GOB's. Who knows, if it is good enough Rivero might even toss his vote to Baxter. BUT until than, I vote for the person who speaks to the people, has a plan and is not afraid of the GOB's. Frank Rivero.

If Baxter was president and a chairman for such a long time of the SJPOA and such a highly experienced manager of peace officer's, he should have known a POA can not support someone outside of their area. So, not only did Baxter list supports that did not support him, Baxter should have known in the first place not to do it.

Sort of like signing a DEA grant and not reading that you employee is going to take personal advantage of it. Oh was that Mitchell??????
 

Well post 11:53 there ya go, if your going to step in, you have to come with facts and guns loaded. By the way no need to continually say we are not Mitchell supporters, you did not say you were a Baxter supporter either, nor that you were currently supporting anyone just looking for information?. If you are supporting Baxter then that is fine, just say so is all. You don't have a lot to go on right now with Baxter, as he has no layed out much of a gameplan at this point. When we talk about the importance of citizen oversight, and a clear and defined statement to the public about Mitchell and these types of models and ideas, Baxter at this point has presented nothing, now that is alright because it is early in his process, so we await thay level of information coming from him. It is a little hard to believe based on knowing nothing about Mr. Baxter you would make such a quick choice, we would think you would want to know who your canidate is prior to supporting him. Perhaps you, behind it all, don't like Rivero and that is the way you decided to slide into the conversation? Honesty is important here, so why don't you cut to the chase.
 

Just a heads up, the Lovelace group took an internal poll, on the most insane Mitchell/Hopkins events of the past two years, it was a close vote, but the worst is Dinius, and second worst is Garzoligate. Two of the most bizzare and corrupt incidences not only in this county but in the state. Just thought you would want to know.

Anthony Farrington is to concerned about becoming a lawyer, and moving on to Sacramento politics, Anita Grant was brought in by Denise as a favor. Rob Brown is a lame duck Supervisor, Rushing is concerned about image (her's), Comstock has no opinion worth listening to, and Jeff Smith languishes in obscurity as usual, and you wonder why we have problems in the county. Time for change, time to vote, vote, vote..We will continue to inform the public of what their local government is up to the fight will go on till the job is done. On top of that we have a local media who won't even post a story with the basic facts on Morshed, why is that we wonder, there is well enough information available to post a basic initial overview but we get nothing. To answer the support of Morshed, I'll take a wipe at that.

Morshed filed an EEOC complaint and was disgruntled (according to Martin's report) and it seems that was why Martin decided to focus on him. Can anyone give me any example of a person filing a EEOC complaint that is not disgruntled? That's why you file it! As for the USB thumb drive, why did Martin failed to check if anyone accessed the Wright report and this site at the same time? You have several persons accessing that report. You can simply cut and past the report? It's simple and fast. But instead Martin focused on Morshed because of the EEOC complaint. Morshed used USB thumb drives for years and seen by deputies to Mitchell himself. If he did this, hammer him, but as it stands now, no evidence has been shown. Mitchell, put Morshed back on the street.

You are correct 4:06, and in fact the EEOC complaint was also mentioned in the PC narrative in regards to Rivero, Martin tried to say that "another" person who is running against sheriff Mitchell also had an EEOC complaint in and that Morshed was playing politics. Good Lord, now Mitchell is running his campaign by having people arrested and their house searched!!! So what's on the little black USB drive Mitchell, oh wait is this going the same way as the crank dropping Dutra case went, no show, no evidence, case dismissed after wasting a ton of the taxpayers money.
 

An earlier posting says that Mitchell the coroner-sheriff seizes Hospice death drugs? This is indeed unusual if true. In Napa county the Hospice dispenses the drugs and then when the patient dies the Hospice inventory the drugs that were not taken. Of course in the last part of life many patients are on narcotics for pain, but this IS NOT what Sheriff Mitchell does? Seems like these drugs, if the "honorable" Sheriff Mitchell is honorable (who could believe that at this point???) those drugs collected could fetch a profit on the streets. Sounds like ANOTHER conflict of interest AND there is one sheriff I know of already who has no qualms about dispersing prescrition drugs. Now the LCSO corrupt are just about in to "everything" it seems.
Their personal life unsullied? Come on now, Mitchell! Could that be a definition of ANYTHING you do on the clock or off the clock? Meanwhile your pal Perdock is starting a business while the taxpayers pay for him on medical leave. Soaking the system. Is there any shame in you?
 

Well Post 4:16 that is a lot to cover, but first lets go to the molested girl, if it is the post we are thinking of, the individual you are asking about was a sheriffs officer named Navarro he also has a brother Derek Navarro is the one referred to in the post. The brief facts are this, yes this cop had two 14 year old girls that he gave drugs to and had sex with, the one girl ended up pregant, the trial is on-going right now, we do not have the details of the trial, but the facts are as we described them. Now there are many memeber of the Lovelace group and many citizens who post on this site. Yes we are passionate about what we are doing. The levels of corruption described here are all true, and we are open to anyone who can different accountings which speak differently. Thus far there have been none. We are assuming you are new to the blog, and have basically gone through the various posts, or perhaps you have been watching and this is your first time posting. None the less, there is a long and terrible list of issues with Sheriff Mitchell and DA Hopkins, the Dinius case with sheriff officer Perdock killing Lynn Thorton by running into their sailboat late at night going 40 miles an hour, and not being charged is just one of the many terrible and awful events that has occured under the leadership or lack there of with Mitchell and Hopkins. We can go on and on, but suffice to say you can ask on this site any question you want to gather your own verification of these things and the citizens will respond to you. We will leave it at that for now, and hope that helps.
 

The Navaro activity is sanctioned and approved by the Mitchell group. It is "common" practice and is a point of bragging. It is the "norm" with these "fine officers" and as a poster who admitted to having rose colored glasses? Most people are great, and some are well... not fit for office. I think the events of the last few years have opened a lot of eyes. You were right in the "person" diminishing the impact of sex with a fourteen year old girl. It is the norm and officers turn their heads and grin as if it is an elite group of officers who serve only themselves and don't care a whit about the lives of the victims. It's called the good old boys, so why wouldn't they have sex with girls that are 14?
 

The compare of the officer suspected of molesting a teenager and Morshed is simple. There was enough PC to arrest that officer and terminate him. In Morshed's case, the little black USB thumb drive was not recovered (according to the return evidence sheet). Other officer=evidence=arrest. Morshed=no evidence=no arrest. Put Morshed back to work.

Not only did DEREK Navarro molest this young, live in Nanny; babysitter, behind everyone's back, including his wife; discusting isn't even fit way to describe his demeanor.This cop was an arrogant SOB in the public's eye; he harrassed people with records on probation, planted drugs in people's cars, planted evidence that he pretended to be stolen, just for an arrest. He ridiculed people in public; picked on people; and flirted with all the young girls in parking lots at supermarkets, WHILE IN UNIFORM, disguising his criminal thoughts and personality behind a uniform. Until the young girl told on him; thank God.........yes, the young girl has had a rough life because of him. Her life has been ruined b him. He destroyed her family's wellbeing. There are some questions being raised concerning the details of the Navarro description, that has been reported for a couple of years now. Lovelace does not know the exact details, but we are checking to be sure it is accurate. The base story line is accurate, but we want to get the exact details over time there can be additions and subtractions to the story. Thanks to those checking on this.
 

Re Navarro: Shawn is the one who stole money from the dead beat dads as a DA invesigator working under, at the time, DDA Jon Hopkins. He was asked to resign.
Derrick is the one who had sex with his underage babysitter. He is still with her (now of age). She is pregnant. Saw them at Safeway recently. At the time he threaten to cut her up in pieces if she said anything. An article in the Record Bee reported him having sex with the dispatcher on some ones desk at work. He is also reported to have had sex with two 14 year olds, handcuffed to a pole somewhere in Lower Lake. Another officer reportedly joined in on this escapade. He is on trial for some of these charges right now. Why is there no mention of this in our local press? Gary, Mandy, Katie, start acting like real reporters. Shame on you!
Shawn and Derrick are private investigators working in Lakeport. Anybody want to hire them? I'd rather see them run out of town or in jail where they belong!

Mitchell,s sergeant, Martin, started an IA on Morshed based on an EEOC complaint.
Mitchell's choice for Deputy of the Year was Navarro.

Rob Brown knew also.I wrote Rob Brown describing Navarro's behavior; he said he was forwarding the information to Rod Mitchell. Nothing was done to stop him; I have the documentation.A civil complaint could not be made because you have to file a complaint with the county BOS to reserve your rights to sue civilly; Government Code; most people do not know this. It is a very involved process.And we lost our chance.

2. Mitchell admitted to not supervising Perdock. Perdock accessed the Dinius case, gave false information to DA Investigators and called his fellow deputies untruthful. It is on the LCSO website under Debreffing.

3. Mitchell made Navarro Deputy of the Year.

4. Mitchell refused to inform the public of the EEOC complaint.

i'm bummed to hear about Derek Navarro. He was so understanding and helpful when I reported a DV incident. He even kept me posted as to the status of the perp (who is an unregistered sex offender who, I was told by a detective, "slipped thru the cracks")~~~ and he's still unregistered!
Anyway... Lewis was a dirtbag when I first contacted LCSO and requested a different officer.

Sheriff Mitchell has disrespected every voter and taxpayer of Lake Co. Mitchell's refusal to FIRE Garzoli and Perdock after months of "being on paid vacations." Mitchell should have fired Perdock within a few months of the boating incident not years after. Mitchell also failed to fire Garzoli within a short period of time. How long does it take Mitchell's Department and the BOS to investigate crimes against us? Mitchells statement of "MY IGNORANCE IS MY RESPONSIBILITY" that may be right, however it's not our responsibility to keep paying for your failures.
 

Its easy to say that "My ignorance is my responsibility" if there is no price to pay. So we pay for his ignorance, then he has the impudence to ask for our vote. Please vote for officer Rivero.
 

With the BOS cutting positions to save money. I have a suggestion why don't the BOS cut Garzoli and Perdocks positions out of the budget. You know the one Lt./Pilot and one Captain position. This would force Mitchell into doing something and saving us lots of money.
