A progress report, well heck fire Robby, what happened with the rest of the progress reports when you were suppose to be helping like a knight in shining armor those poor poor children with grade problems, looks like the whole year is D's and F's boy some help you are Brown. Well, it looks like I was right about the amount of disappointment now apparent among the anti Rob crowd. If some would have just waited long enough for the facts to come out maybe jumping to conclusions would have been avoided. Schools do not give progress reports like they did a few years ago. Rob knows it was a SEMESTER Report Card. This is sad. You know Rob and his GOB's are lying by how much energy they have put into saying Campos IS.

907 Kids get progress reports quite often. I heard that this wasn't a report card or a progress report, but a weekly grade check form, that the kid takes to each teacher on a friday to have filled out. I have a highschooler and we get a quarterly progress report, semester report card, and in between each of those is another progress report. They all come in the mail. If a kid is on the edge of elligibility they do a weekly grade check form to give to their coach.

I would say again,I may not know of Browns involvement with this matter but I also say this he is part of a system that is corrupt. I also heard that this poor kids mom is a ranting and raving fool, who came out of somewhere in the bay area to Lake County, and is clueless as to what proper education is and clueless that her own son is being used by Rob Brown.

Funny underneath this all, the reason that Lizzy got no comments on her attempt at covering for Brown is that in this case even her supporters know she went over the line.

Let me give you a statistic that will blow your mind, in California 13 % of the population is of Asian descent, at one of the most highly ranked academic colleges in the country UC Berkeley 48% of active students who were accepted based on their academic acumen not on racial make-up which is now not a part of the system are Asian. 48%, with only a 13% population base, i.e. the importance of education and learning. Who wants to bet if you looked at those set of kids in 10 years out, those that were abused by the likes of Rob Brown vs those Asian kids the learned kids would be doing far far better in life. You all know it is true and you all know that the way Rob is treating and abusing these kids is not something you would put up with if it was your kid. Enough said.

You can't imagine how safe it makes me feel to see this and know it means the Lovelace group has determined Lake County Government no longer needs watching. This thing is getting past damage control stage and some folks at the top of the educational flow chart in the county are getting worried. Mr. principal if this report card is as is said an actual report card, and in Algebra he was at an F, and what ever report card you now show puts the F to a B, we would be able to give you so much credit, as you just turned a kid from 2+2=4 to Albert Einstein in less then a day or two. Pretty amazing or is it?????

Teachers have it very rough these days. The pincipal and Brown are making you all look bad with this fraud. I am a little shocked the teachers are going to stand for it, with all that is going on. We do support the teachers and need to back them, they are being asked to do too much for too little. I hate to keep going back to the report card incident but that deal says it all. The Mom coming out and supporting that report card shows that that is the norm of how people think theses days. That it is solely up to the teachers on our childrens education. Too much is being put on the teachers and the parents are not taking a roll in there childs education. Maybe like in the report card case the parents are not educated. The parents are first and foremost responsible for there childs test scores. The teacher is there to do a job.... not create miracles.

But when a person like Brown leads them down the primrose path it is a sad statement of both school employees, coaches, and principles, along with the teachers. There is plenty of blame on both sides of the fence, both school employees and parents. But isn't it funny not a single GOB would step up and answer the question which asks if this was your kid since you are defending Brown would it be alright with your kid being lead around by the nose by Brown. Wouldn't it been better if Brown ha talked the principal into building a new study room, with modern computers and pay for the extra teachers help rather then building a new wrestling room? A room by the way that was called a storage shed. You see this is typical Brown manipulation for his own ends, and as you can see it is to the detriment of the education of the children.

What I would like to see is those parents of kids who are not in wrestling, or sports, raise hell with Brown the principle and others who are responsible for this terrible academic record.

KELSEYVILLE -- More than 30 teachers, parents and community members hoisted signs and marched along the sidewalk Friday afternoon near the Kelseyville Unified School District (KUSD) office.


I wonder if Brown was there in support of his peers and staff members....Ya right, he just sells beer at the high school for wrastling!!!

These posts were in regards to the telephone interview of the principle of K-Ville High School Mr. Cockerton, in an interview yesterday the principal directly contridicted himself and this is raising a lot of serious credibility questions. In the LCN article he stated that "A computer glitch caused the grade issue and that several students had been effected"...Then in a telephone interview of which we have a written copy he stated..."That a teacher made a mistake and then inaccurately recorded the grade for that student." Now I don't know about you Mr. Principle but that is two totally different statements and you are heading down the wrong road.

This is to say the least is very confusing, here is the rest of the interview statement by the principle, see if this makes sense.

"The only ones who have access to report cards are the student and the parent."

This is another direct quote from the principal this afternoon. Now since the report card, which is a report card from which the grades were shown on this Blog and said report card on it, not as Lizzy described it, yes there is a copy of this report card, was found in the wrestling room as Brown said, how did it get there Mr. Principal was it the parent who left it in the room or the student?? Or and please be honest, was it Brown????

"The coach asked the student if he got an f. The student said the F was the wrong grade. The teacher corrected it." Another quote from the principal: Waaaaaaaaaaaa just that easy, the kid said in isn't right so the teacher changed it. Mr. principal if this report card is as is said an actual report card, and in Algebra he was at an F, and what ever report card you now show puts the F to a B, we would be able to give you so much credit, as you just turned a kid from 2+2=4 to Albert Einstein in less then a day or two. Pretty amazing or is it?????
 

No 328 you are not reading and understanding, that comment said Rob is not supporting his peers, which he isn't and they know it, because his head is up the principals arse and he can't see the light of reality nor does he care. I am sure you must agree with that statement now that you understand it. Rob Browns attitude about the importance of wrestling over education also makes it harder on his peers as he does not care about their grades, nor does he assist in making it a priority for the kids thus helping the teachers. Got it.

The following are some of the excerpts on K-Vill's Matt Cockerton from the revealing book written by Douglas George called "jock Justice".

The following afternoon, on November 5, 2002, at Kelseyville High School in Lake County, the long-delayed NCS hearing finally got under way. The hearing officer turned out to be Kelseyville's Principal, MATT COCKERTON. I drove the hundred and twenty miles to attend the hearing (at my own expense), but Commissioner Lakin didn't bother. He just sent a letter (from which I have already quoted above) explaining his position. The Del Norte coach didn't come either nor did any of the school principals that had been so up in arms about tiny South Fork's crusade to obtain justice.

It was just me, Mr. COCKERTON, Tom Ehrhorn (Commissioner of Athletics for the NCS — to interpret the rules) and, oddly enough, Richard Graey (president of the HDNL board of directors). Mr. Graey just happened to be passing through, he said, and decided to drop in.

I was expecting a formal hearing process with testimony, presentation of evidence, cross examination of witnesses and such. Indeed, the whole thing was laid out, step by step, in exacting detail in a 15-page document entitled "Appellate Procedures Handbook." The hearing was supposed to be conducted in the rigid manner of a formal trial.

The reality, of course, wasn't even close. The hearing quickly degraded into a chaotic argument. Not only were the defendants (Commissioner Lakin and Coach Olesen) not present, the hearing officer, MATT COCKERTON, who was supposed to be the judge, hadn't seen the handbook and had no clue how he was supposed to run the hearing. He was just a harried school principal whose busy day was being rudely interrupted. As the afternoon wore on, he became visibly irritated that the process might, as he put it, "take the whole afternoon." He also knew nothing about team tennis.

He was, however, acutely attuned to the politics. Shortly after the tape recorder was started and all were sworn in, COCKERTON took notice of a letter submitted by South Fork's principal (thanks, Jaenelle) to the effect that she was not supporting the appeal. COCKERTON immediately and aggressively questioned my right to even be there. He was a school principal, damn it all, and here was an upstart coach with the effrontery to go over the head of one of his fellow school principals and waste his valuable afternoon with a bunch of whiny complaints about a tennis match!
 

He didn't actually say that but his demeanor spoke volumes. I figured right then that South Fork's goose was cooked. Tom Ehrhorn (NCS rules interpreter) explained to MATT that, yes, I did have the right to bring this appeal, and so the hearing lurched forward. Ehrhorn gradually took over and tried to guide the process. He was doing his best to be fair but the hearing had already spiraled out of control. Richard Graey was functioning as Commissioner Lakin's mouthpiece. MATT COCKERTON sat quietly, looking glum. The free-form argument gradually devolved into me debating the three of them (the judge, the jury and the mouthpiece) on a number of issues.

During the arguments about the "phantom" procedure, all of a sudden, what appeared to be an actual copy of the infamous procedure appeared out of nowhere. This is the same procedure, don't forget, that Commissioner Lakin had already admitted — to this very hearing (in writing) — did not exist. Still, I was forced to spend a lot of time explaining to Matt that the HDNL board had decided to adopt such a procedure and make it official but had not yet done so.

So, why weren't the match results overturned? Mr. COCKERTON'S written findings, issued some days later, listed the following:

* First on the list was: "No protest was made at the time of the alleged infractions." (You can drive a silver stake through the heart of a phantom procedure but it will never die!)

* Another finding was: "South Fork High School does not support the appeal as per the principal's letter."

* Another one was: "Mr. George was not present at the HDNL meeting..."

* Yet another: "The HDNL principals...voted to support the decision of the HDNL Commissioner..."

* Way down at the bottom of the list — as sort of an afterthought — were the findings of the actual rules violations.

Well now, that sure clears it up all right. We at South Fork failed to divine the existence of Commissioner Lakin's phantom protest procedure so Del Norte was allowed to win the match by cheating. Got it?


Not a great accounting for Cockerton is it!! He is of the same make as Brown.
 

Looks like Cockerton and Brown are not to sharp at conflict resolution but love causing conflict and both being narcissistic A-holes are not there for the kids and what is right.
 

It sure seems like anyone who associates with Brown ends up in hot water. Right Elizabeth, I do like the idea of the paper(LCN) now being called the RBG(Rob Brown Gazette)...perfect.

I just read "Jock Justice". It sounds so much like Lake County, oh maybe because it does involve someone from Lake County. This is a must read. Matt Cockerton seems to be able to railroad his position any way he can. You put this guy together with the likes of Rob Brown and no wonder we have problems. I hope both school boards will read this article. These guys need to go.

Now here is a reality check concerning the BOS meeting tomorrow with the agenda item being the approval or disapproval of the ordinance before them. This is the Ordinance that was created and approved by gathering the required number of signatures and which gives the BOS only two options approve it or send it to the voters. Why they are doing a fake discussion on this is the funny part about this. This is how it will go, first of all the BOS doesn't have the balls to stand up to the feds. What ever the bogus reasons given by Coel or Brown or whoever does not matter that is just a dog and pony show. What the BOS will do is reject the ordinance, because they have to, they have to because they are scared of the Feds. They will reject it because they can then say to the feds, Golly we tried, but the citizens have gotten this approved by the majority in the county and we do not have a choice. We don't want it oh Gods of the federal anti-pot regime, we want to do what you want us to do, so we are going to reject it so you can see how true to you we are. This then will send it to a vote of the people. Done deal, anything and everything else is simply spastic sputtering from the fearful government officials.
 

Ronnie Campos is very involved in the coaching of the team despite having his hands temporarily ties by the actions of Rob Brown. I talked to a guy today who has know Rob for over 30 years, he says the guy has gotten really weird and now he calls him "Boss Hog" LOL of my God does that fit or not, he basically said they guy has gone over the deep end, and even though he considers him a friend, he thinks he is over the top and gone off the deep end.
 

I dont believe anyone has forced him out 708. If he does not lead Clear Lake next year I and many others believe they will be in big trouble.
 

7:53 Ronnie is now on administrative leave. To most, that would be considered a "forced departure". He no longer coaches Clear Lake High School wrestling whether his departure was forced or not.

The 4 wrestlers who quit did so some time ago because Ronnie instructed his team not to shake hands with the Upper Lake team after a match. They did so anyway and then quit, only to return when Ronnie was gone.

I've been following this story and just kind of listening to everyone, but I just looked up the student in question "Adryan Segura" on facebook and saw that he fights in the cage. What kind of mother lets there 16 year old son fight in the cage in a casino parking lot?

It was a good attempt by the GOB's to attempt to turn the discussion on Mr. Campos, but to no avail, you see this is a story about grade fixing, and grade tampering, this is a story about a Coach who does not care about the kids, a coach who somehow managed to get himself in the business of working the grades shall we say. You see this poor kid has not only a mother but a coach and a principle backing him who don't care about this young man, We have a young man who at 18 years old is in remedial English, and getting consistent D's and F's in his only 2 required classes, History and Algebra, this is the sad fact of the situation, and there is no getting around it. Time will tell how the whole Campos situation works out, but at the very least Rob Brown has taken a direct hit, and he can't take many more.
 

I know Ronnie personally and I know that he can be an asshole but I also know that he has been struggling with whether he was coaching next year long before this happened because he felt he was neglecting his own children's wrestling. I also know that he cares for the kids on his team and turned in the report card he found to show them that rules are important...To teach them right from wrong. He could have turned it in anonymously but chose to go forward whatever the consequences. I don't know, but I think that shows something of character.
 

Also know this about Ronnie, he does not do this for the money, he can walk away from coaching anytime, and financially it isn't a hill of beans for him. He is dedicated to doing this for the kids and for the betterment of the kids. This is a far cry from the win at any cost attitude of Rob Brown, and the worst thing about Brown is he isn't good enough to bring home the bacon, he continues to be defeated by the smaller schools, and all schools whose academic acheivments are far beyond K-Villes. This is double jeopardy for the kids under Rob's control, control that has to been taken from this bull in a china shop, who by the way use to be a so called bounty hunter. Rob has always had little mans syndrome, never able to take care of himself but always wanting to be a tough guy. This is what has caused his frustration and why he tries to live his phony dream of victory on the backs of the kids he coaches. A sad story really.
 

As you all can see who are watching the Blog our resident cut and paster KKK is posting a story on the sheriff and a minor traffic incident with a pedestrian earlier today, we have all the straight info on this and will post it shortly. Frank did hit a pedestrian, who stepped out of the shadows and tried to cross against the red light.(not in the crosswalk) Frank was not going fast and the man was not hurt. The man wanted to leave, but Frank insisted he go to the hospital. He was not airlifted. There were witnesses who saw the man come out of no where. The man admitted it was his fault. Sheriffs Deputies were on the scene as well as two CHP.

Good news no one hurt, glad to hear it, frankly with as much driving as these deputies and the sheriff does, with as many drunks out walking around in this county I am surprised there are not more incidents of actual serious injuries. B.L.S. SENDING INITIATIVE TO THE VOTERS
 

Ok a great day of posting, now let's review the reality of the current situation:

First of all as Lovelace predicted, the fearful BOS has sent the ordinance to the voters, now as already described, they had only 2 choices either go with the majority of the citizens and approve it, or send it to the voters and they will approve it. Because the BOS members are so fearful of the feds they were not going to approve it and they had no choice but to send it to the voters. Also remember that the county can spend no taxpayer money to try and defeat this Ordinance, none. What we suspect will happen, is that Lizzy and her paper RBG(Rob Brown Gazette) will attempt to sway the few hundred people they have that go to read that, rag and through various articles and such will try to sway voters. So don't put it past Lizzy and the RGB to make this attempt, she is just low enough to try. On the flip side the green farmers can spend any amount they want and will lobby the citizens from one end of the county to the other until June, these will be interesting times between now and June. Great job to all that did the hard work, and this is exactly what was predicted would happen.

Now as already called out the Rivero/pedestrian accident yesterday has turned out to be nothing, and will remain so, very very smart move on the sheriffs part to send the guy to Santa Rosa, as when ambulance chasers get a hold of this type of situation they can really try to take advantage of small counties. This guy will get a complete check up and be pronounced fit as a fiddle, and the sheriff was very wise in insisting that he go the the hospital. This is how a smart professional and manager handles this kind of situation, think on your feet and make the right decisions in an instant.

As far as anything Pat Mcmahem would write or say, it is a total waste of time, this guy is one of the dumbest of the GOB's he won't come here as he does not have the intelligence to stay with the people on this site. So he is a marginalized non-issue.

It was nice to see the BOS get a little taste of their own medicine. They were left with two choices, neither of which they liked. They didn't like it, but they sent it to the voters. That is how it should work when our Government is responsive to only some of it's constituency.
Victoria Brandon made the best point of the day when she correctly observed that the two different polarized sides never did sit down at the same table. If the intuitive wins that would be great, if it doesn't, maybe the BOS (the old or the new) could learn from it's mistakes. Remember who voted from you.
 

Here's an even more interesting point to be made. With all this gnashing and gnawing of teeth over MJ. Including the past 40 years of Federal efforts to the tune of several trillion dollars in their battle against MJ, It (MJ) has grown in use, distribution, availability, and cultivation by a thousand fold. This little foray here in Lake County doesn't mean a thing in regards to the current availability, cultivation, and distribution of MJ. This is a process of slow eventual legalization and nothing more. For the local economy it is a major player, despite the naysayers, it is fair to say that as far as contributing to the actual local economy nothing touches MJ including winery's.

What the BOS still fails to grasp, is the "opportunity" to be at the front end of legalization. For some of them it is still the nose up in the air saying, "We don't want to be known for pot."....Silly small thinkers wake up and smell reality, take advantage of it with vision and foresight. As far as the average local Joe wanting to buy weed in the county. In an instant, no problem, no risk, has been that way for 25 years here, and will continue to be, no matter the result of this vote.

It takes time to remove stigmatization, there are still a lot of WWII generation folks in this world, and others who are stigmatized about MJ for one reason or another. Remember this "greatest generation" as they are called, claim they came home from WWII and didn't have drug and sanity issues. No that generation had major drinking issues and still does along with a huge suicide rate, it simply was hidden away. The WWII vet who came home, more often then not abused booze. But this was a "normal" "approved" drug which created a major tax windfall for the state and federal folk so it isn't the same. MJ is still stigmatized but as a generation dies away, the changes come, as we can see in this battle of wills currently underway in our county, in the state and across the country.

At yesterdays BOS Rivero stuck to his rights and what most people don't get is the point he is making, if you don't back this idiot off, you will pay for his unabillity to stop himself from trying to stab him in the back. It is very simple and a great plan, Rivero says I am just going to do my job the way Anderson should, he ha tried to go after me 3 different time now, and the first two have failed, he is obsessed with this and not doing his job for the citizens. Soooooo Donny back off, everyone but Brown sees what your doing as a waste of time and county and citizens money. This has put Donny in a bad spot, and he seems just dumb enough to keep pushing it.

Hey Donny you investigate the recent accident to, and don't worry about the actual cases which you need to prosecute. LOL he is such an idiot.

You're right because he'd have been fired for other misconduct in my opinion. If you haven't read today's story on the BOS meeting you should. I think Frank's refusal to waive the conflict shows that my comments in the letter were on target.
 

Pat McMahon and Robby Howe are both talking about running for Sheriff next election. I can imagine the debates: (Pat) No, I only pulled the gun on you because I was drunk. (Rob) Well, when you put your gun away I should have kicked your ass, but I guess I didn't have the courage. (Pat) Well I went to Napa because I didn't have the courage to stand up to Rod, so I guess we're both a couple of cowards. (Rob) Well I wasn't afraid of Rod cause he never made me do any work. When Rivero wanted me to do my job I said, hell no, and quit. So I guess I am a quitter too. (Pat) Well maybe we should drop out, it looks like we are just a couple of losers.
