Good evening Lake County citizens, this has been an amazing last few days of exposure and highlighting the collusion and connections in our local media and the sheriffs department. The incident of the fake CHP endorsement was the highlight of this exposure, and based on just this one incident we urge all citizens to stop this madness, to stop this agenda that was once hidden but which now has been exposed. To that end we ask all of you to do all you can to ensure Frank Rivero garners as many votes as you can help generate, talk to people these last few days leading up to the election, and get to as many Mitchell supporters as possible they are easy to turn to Rivero voters when their very credibility is on the line for the vote they will cast, tell them about Mitchell's terrible record of performance all the lawsuits the attacks against the citizens all of it will help turn a Mitchell supporter to a Rivero vote. Again what a great last couple days of exposing the corruption that through the years has gotten entrenched in our county, and thanks to all of you for your support over the past 14 months.

Below are two great comments by Ron Green on the John Gray trial, he is hammering the Mitchell goons in what appears to be another totally screwed up investigation, and it appears as usual there is some strange goings on in the Mitchell GOB's investigation. Amazing how bad Mitchell and his boys look.

This only gets more weird. Ace Detective Pfann and Sgt. Paulich didn't bother looking in the bag which supposedly contained a bloody bat at the time they searched the murder scene. Really? Hmmmm..........

So, the defendant allegedly murdered his roommate, then put the bloody bat back in its bag, took his dog, and left. Oh? How do we know the bat wasn't planted there a couple of months later?

Maybe I don't understand this bat stuff. If I understand correctly, the bloody bat mysteriously appeared in the murder scene house more than 2 months after the murder. What?? Did it have Gray's or any fingerprints on it? Maybe we'll find out later. This seems awfully weird to me. Did someone plant it there? If it was there all the time, how did the cops miss it? It is implied in this story that someone broke into the house and left the bat while I presume Gray was in jail. This is a bit bizarre.

For many many months the Lovelace group through the Blog have exposed the idea of the citizens loss of trust and confidence in sheriff Mitchell. We have said that the current relationship between Mitchell and the citizens is an antagonistic model not a cooperative reality. We have said we are working toward the time when the citizens will be working in concert with local LE. Walking hand in hand in a mutually beneficial effort to identify crime, to set priorities and execute developed plans for dealing with those mutually identified problems on a priority basis. These concepts are lost on Mitchell and some of his supporters. They are to the detriment of Lake County and its citizens stuck in a paradigm of status quo business as usual, and we don't need to refine and evolve, we don't need citizens group, oversight committees, nor anything different then what we currently have in place. This is an old world mentality that does not serve the county and it's citizens in a mutually beneficial approach to crime, growth, and tourism. Mitchell's autocratic approach to police work, is aged and out of date and does not equate to positive change and transformation to the aforementioned cooperative approach to the public, LE relationship.

Behind the scenes in a hidden agenda that has and is being executed by Mitchell and some of his old world followers terrible attacks and character assassinations have been taking place for many years. So as to not stir up the "you guys are just conspiracy theorist" bantering we will leave it at that.

This is a reasoned response to what is needed in our county if we are to heal and prepare ourselves for the future. Mitchell has indeed hurt our county and he will continue to if left in place. 10 federal civil rights lawsuits are pending with Mitchell's name as a defendant listed on them. This includes the Dinius lawsuit which will bring state and nationwide attention to our already tainted image. It would be impossible for Mitchell to effectively run our sheriffs department(not his) with so many legal issues on his plate. Thus the continued destruction of our image to the state, surrounding counties and the country will continue. Indeed it is time for change despite what will be the continued diatribe of whining and no, no, no head in the sand crying some die-hard Mitchell fans will exhibit.

This elitist network of all for me none for the others cannot continue to hold the high ground, the emperor has no clothes is the perfect analogy to this current situation. Electing Frank Rivero will be the first step in our healing and movement to a more refined execution of policy based on mutual trust, transparency, and cooperation in our county.
 

It is not that I think officer Rivero would not try and do the job as sheriff but the system is broke. allowing those that use the system for themselves to lie and cover the lie up with no outside legal authority. Who has stood up? What bureaucrat has, can I ask? If officer Rivero wins I wish him well,he will need it. The corruption is deep with in this system of Lake County. You hear the outcry from the Status quo.

Now David, you can pull the wool over peoples eyes but boy when they find out you did it kinda makes them mad, you know what were saying? Now up to this point, and mind you we are just in the beginning of working the details out you appear to have had a lot of activity in Sonoma, a lot of activity in trust deeds and various real-estate transactions, and never any employees, none ever? The curious thing is the fact that all of these licenses are currently inactive for not carrying any bonding? Why is that David? And where did that 1000.00 come from since you don't do any work at all for anyone and have no employees and never have had a single person work for you that you paid any money for anything? You know that would be kinda illegal, you know tax evasion, breaking California labor laws, all that minor stuff. Well listen lot's of work to do on this end still. At least this David has his own contractors license. Tom Carter tells everyone he has one when in fact he has never had a contractor license at all. That is pretty normal with this group. There is a great radio ad that is playing on 88.1 from Lynn Thorton's son, it is endorsing Frank Rivero and hits Mitchell right between the eyes, great job, and in due time justice will come to the Thorton at least as much as can given the tragic events that have effected their lives at the hands of Mitchell.

This election is all about coming together and doing what is right for Lake County. I don't think Frank is the Democratic ticket. He seems to be the peoples ticket! Some of you guys spout your liberal ranting. whatever... It has nothing to do with the actual Sheriff's election.

Luckily I have the objectivity to separate the facts. (Good thing because alot of you guys come out with the most leftist, ridicules bleeding heart crap!!) OMFG!! Your leftist dogma has nothing to do with Frank.

I have met Frank and think he will do a good job. I am a moderate and a Republican. Republican or Democrat I think we can all agree it is time for change.

He was endorsed by one CHP officer pretending to be the entire CHP union. He was not endorsed by PORAC, that's been confirmed but he keeps trying to convince us otherwise. With all due respect mam, the type of citizens who could serve on the review board won't need much at all. I could not see anyone getting paid for such a position. It would be out of a sense of civic duty. Keeping it volunteer would also assure no one uses the position for self justification. The decisions recommended by the review board would be factual based on current training guidelines and doctrine. They would be factual and clinical. It would be a double edged sword; sometimes, perhaps more times then not the review board would actually back up and support the Deputies actions.

Just my own take on it.

Red is right. Rivero has said this is not intended to be a paid position rather a volunteer position made up of good reasonable citizens who will be fair to both the complainants and the officers.

Her accusation that his Undersheriff position will take away a number of deputy positiuons is totally false. The money has been found within the budget. Mitchell knows it but can't change his tune now. This position will not affect the deputies other then to provide a position or leadership and managment and a buffer between the deputies and the sheriff. It can help to reorganize and make the office a better more efficient place to work.
 

Mary Grace is a lonely woman living in a little town with nothing to do but worry what her husband is doing and suck the wine. She has as must influence and credibility as a prune. Her frustration with life makes her a very unhappy and vindictive woman just like her good friend Becky Mitchell.

Someone has said we shouldn't pick on thje families and I tend to agree however these are two who are always spreading lies in public and in this Blog. We can see right through them and I don't think we should cut them any slack. If they have their way we'll be stuck with Rod Mitchell a corrupt filandering punk for another 4 years and we can't afford that.

I hammered them hard on the under sheriff position. Several months ago, remember the running gun battle? I was ruthless on them.

Yes it can be done without sacrificing any patrol positions as it was explained. I brought that up long ago. More money can even be freed up. There is money out there for law enforcement grants; hiring, training and equipment. Time to think outside the box.

We need to take good care of our Deputies ; )

We have spent a bit of time looking at the numbers today and the numbers of people who are in contact with us over the past few months and the numbers of people who have come to us and turned into Rivero supporters, that along with the massive numbers in the thousands that have or will vote for Rivero through knowing Tom Carter and the amazing activities of this site and the Manifest and it appears although we are still looking at the exact numbers that via this site and the hard work the citizens have done here that there has been several thousand of votes generated for Frank Rivero, the exposure that has happened in such situations like the Phony CHP endorsement and the hammering LCN and RB has taken via this site has been even more significant then what many of us thought. The citizens should be proud of the hard work, and huge amount of exposure that has been generated over the past 14 months we are sure it is and will continue to be a great assistance to informing the voters and ensuring that Frank Rivero is elected sheriff of our county.

It was a stunning display of Frank's fortitude his desire to win and his unyielding resolve in the face of the racist and hate filled attacks Mitchell and his gang have been throwing at him for over 10 months, most would have wilted under such attacks, Frank Rivero has stood tall, spent his own money and a vast amount of time in this campaign, Frank Rivero showed yesterday he is in this for the people, and he received amazing support yesterday as he walked the rain soaked streets talking to people and securing their votes. Don't know what you're talking about. My Rivero sign in the driveway is soaking wet but still standing and no paint running. I went by the big 4x4 Rivero sign next to the court house and it is still standing proud. Then I went by the big 4x8 sign that shines in the night at Hwy 29 and Merritr Road in Kelseyville and the one next to KMart. Still standing proud and no colors running.

Just heard that on another rainy day Frank Rivero is out campaigning at the Walmart story all day. This guy is touch as nails and he just does not stop. We all need to be so thankful for Franks efforts, without a candidate with his fortitude and his never quit attitude we would be at risk of a Mitchell win, Thank you Frank for all your time and effort, for all the funds of your own you have spent, and for the tireless effort to help the citizens of this county. He is getting a great response from all the people at the Walmart store, they see his efforts they see what good and kind man he is.

Along those lines this was an amazing day for Rivero, hundreds of people flowing in and out of the Walmart store and Frank meeting and greeting each of them this was great and several people sent e-mails to us describing the activity and the great response he received.

Along with that it appears that as we wind down to Nov. 2nd Mitchell has hurt his chances very much with his hate and racist attacks on Frank, No one buys the Florida scam, and no one buys the CHP scam and no one bought the Rully scam, and no one bought the 485 days scam. It would seem that Mitchell bought the game plan of Joe Ford hook line and sinker, and Mitchell did what Rivero would not, the wiser will win the election and that is Frank Rivero.

Clearlake needs a lot of help, it is yet unseen what this election will bring, and the changes in positions that will happen, but it is already a known that the Chief in Clearlake leaves alot to be desired, the city of Clearlake is a microcosm of the county and sheriff Mitchell and those of the elitist network that have gathered around him to the disdain and negative effect on the citizens as a whole. Pressure does need to brought upon the chief and others in the Clearlake government system. This system of citizen input and communication is serving to demonstrate how effective that we can be when provided a forum to discuss and demand change in these systems.

It makes sense, each radio show with citizen call in he has gotten spanked, and the last two debates Rivero handed it to him so I don't think he wants to take another beating just before the election. Does anyone know what the processes is at voter register is? I know in the primary they were way behind the curve and we waited a week for the final tally to be completed. Let's hope they have the counting concept for the nearly 50% absentee ballots that are cast in Lake County do not hold up the same day results as they did in the Primary. Has anybody noticed just how Gray Mitchell's skin looks now. It has the appearance of ashen gray. I hope he takes some time out for a physical exam by his dr. Ive seen that look on a number of people just before they had a heart attack. As much as I want him to lose this election I really don't want anyone to be in bad health. This is a true concern from someone who has some expertise in the field. I would hope that someone on his team would take this seriously and take your guy to a heart specialist. If you don't believe me just look at his face, he looks tired and worn. Ask him about his sleep, if he hasn't slept well he is in real danger.

Regarding post 10:47. I do not know if this post is nothing more than another attempt by the Mitchell boys to panic the voters. When Totorrico was running against Mitchell in a previous election, a rumor was started stating that Totorico had a bad heart and he would not be able to fulfill his term if he won the election. It was just a sleezie LIE by the Mitchell boys, but it did have an effect on the election. Unfortunately, Mitchell did remain Sheriff. I will find out the truth tomorrow and I will post the true information on the Blog. Politics is a dirty game, and I put nothing past the Mitchell boys, as they have nothing to lose, and are desperate to win at all costs. I believe that this Cancer scare may be another sleezie way to put fear and doubts into the Rivero followers. If Rivero does have a health issue, I will let you all know if its real,and if it does exist. Did Mitchell's boys post this on the Blog, I do not doubt it. Lately many posts have mentioned that Mitchell is not looking very well. This Cancer threat could be the way to retaliate the Mitchell health scare. McClain comes and go mostly goes heck never shows up. His lack of leadership is driving the citizen crazy all the while we have lost so many jobs, three nice lady's who work for the city hall area was given pink slips the dog catcher used to be Building Inspector 2. The Code Enforcement position is non existant, William Dunlevy would be embarrassed to see what has happened to the fine work he used to be tops in, if you did'nt knowBill, he died of heart attack a few years back, he kept the city on target to get eye sores and shacks removed and the city profited by his work.

McClain needs to go. the money saved from his salary and perks alone would be enough to hire back the real workers who earned their pay.
I don't have anything personal against the man just that it ticks me off to see someone who lives out of the city and cares so little about the people he is supposed to protect and serve.

I also read on here today they have two new officers at the PD and McClain was not even there for the swearing in ceremony. Get the point? He just doesn't care.

Frank was in great shape when he went out door to door in the rain. I talked to him, and he was in great spirits. He looked trim because he has for months been walking the walk and doing the talk, doing his best to give the citizens a good look at their new sheriff. Can you imagine how relieved we will be, knowing that the corruption in the Sheriff's department will stop, and the citizens will breath easier again knowing that we have good deputies who care about us, the public, who pay their salaries? I personally have great confidence in Rivero, because he is caring, honest, and fair. I think, the deputies will find that he will be a good leader that they can trust will back them up when they need it. Rivero for Sheriff of Lake County.

In the very beginning of the race for sheriff the only issue that was clear to me was that I wanted sheriff mitchell gone. I consulted with many deputies both past and current, this was back in Dec. of 2009. All of the officers I spoke with agreed that Mitchell should go and not just because of the Dinius thing. I was told about Jack Baxter at about the same time. I met with Jack and I felt very confident that Jack was most definitely the man for the job. By this time I had heard all the comments being made about Franciso Rivero and believed the comments without questions because I refused to admit to myself that a sitting sheriff would make up lies and distortions about an opposing candidate such as have been made about Mr. Rivero.
I put alot of energy into Mr. Baxters run for sheriff, having meet and greets , finding places for his vote for Baxter signs etc. At times in conversations with Jack and to my amazment Jack would share stories about how his signs would be missing and how there was someone making background checks about him and how at even one point in time, just before Jack's father died "Mitchell" sent an investigator to talk with his father in hopes of finding someway to discredit Jack.
In June after the primary and having believed that Mr. Riovero's camp was responsible for attacking Jack I had the great fortune of seeing Frank at one of the Music in the Park. So to make a long story short I talked to him and found that all I believed about Frank was all that the Mitchell supporters wanted me to think.Good manipulation on their part.I talked with him at great length and found that ALL the things I was worried about had no meritt to it. I asked Jack about Frank , His response was "Frank always maintained a sense of integrity with Me" At this time Jack wasn't supporting any candidate because he felt the community should vote without his influence, however Jack finnally supported Frank when he saw all the distortion and deceptive tatics that RKM was using agaist Frank.If anyone reading this is on the fence about who to vote for please please contact Frank and just talk to him, that is before you make the mistake of your life by voting for Mitchell. I was a baxter supporter . Believed the propaganda put out about Rivero put to us by the Mithchell gang. I worked hard in support of Baxter . Then the primary, Jack was defeated. I had several Talks with Jack and as he shared all the shifty things Mitchell did my mouth would drop further and further. Mithchell attempted to find non issues to discredit Jack , at one point he sent an investigator to Jack's father who at the time was in the throes of death and who has since died.After the primary I was so dis-illusioned had the opportunity to talk with Frank and all the myths were dispelled.

Hey Dana, if you want the truth go to the sheriffrivero site. Frank has information there from former officer Brian Lande, the EEOC complaint and a lot of other information is there too, you may be interested in learning something new.

Rivero has the endorsement of John Thorton, do you know who John is? John is the son of Lynn Thornton, the woman who Perdock killed with his boat. Both of Lynn's brothers are in law enforcement too, and they have endorsed Rivero.

Did you know Thornton's family called Mitchell after the accident for information, well they did and all they ever got from Mitchell was hung up on. He wouldn't speak to the Thornton family.

I have seen Sheriff Mitchell's political hit piece in the Record-Bee citing “public document search” as the source. What a disgrace that Mitchell, who hired Rivero, would stoop so low and slander Rivero.
 
If Rivero were half the things Mitchell describes him as based on his "public records search," then Mitchell himself should be held accountable for incompetence in hiring Rivero, especially since Mitchell says the information is easily available online. Sorry, you can't have it both ways, Sheriff.
 
This is just more spin from the Mitchell machine, which is running on dirty politics and negative untruthful campaigning.
 
Concerning the issue of Rivero opening his personnel files, this is just another Mitchell red herring. Mitchell’s political grandstanding is bogus and unfair.
 
The Sheriff is required by law to open his personal finances to public review because he is an elected official; to claim that he is doing so to be open and transparent is ridiculous.
 
As a peace officer, Rivero has the right to keep his personnel file private. Also, he is entitled to privacy and is not required to open his finances to the public until after he is elected.
 
Michael Rains, the preeminent California attorney for peace officers and police associations, told Rivero not to release his file since this would set a bad precedent affecting all California policemen. Rains even said he would, if necessary, on behalf of the statewide police officers’ association, seek a court injunction to stop Rivero from doing so. This is not a right that can be waived.

When I was asked during the primary to release my file, I contacted the San Jose police attorney, and also the L.A. Police Protective League and they both insisted that I not release my file even though there was nothing bad in it.

I call on the Lake County Deputy Sheriffs Association (DSA) to speak out against this political ploy in order to protect its membership, including Frank Rivero. If Rivero were foolish enough to fall for this campaign scare tactic, other DSA members could be next. Rivero is standing up for his rights and those of all policemen, and should be applauded and supported by the DSA. It is time for the deputies to stop pandering to Sheriff Mitchell. As a career law enforcement officer for 40 years, I find Mitchell’s attempt to circumvent our rights for the sake of politics disgraceful and inexcusable.

You have posted a video on the county’s website depicting four officers purportedly responding to allegations made by me. These officers challenged me to respond. Pursuant to your officer’s demand here is my response. I insist that you post my response on the county website alongside the video.

You use a rhetorical bait and switch to obfuscate allegations of misconduct. That is; if your behavior is inexcusable, then defend yourself against accusations that were never made and hope that the truth is lost in the confusion. Three of the four officers that appear in the film have no involvement with the complaint I filed; they were not named in it and I have never suggested that there was any wrongdoing on their part. My complaint named only one of the officers that appeared in the video. It’s noteworthy that in your production, Detective Andrews staunchly defends three of the officers in the video (including himself) but offered no defense of the fourth officer. That officer, Sgt. Chris Chwialkowski, was actually named in my complaint and is at the center of many of the allegations brought forward by myself and others.

I certainly do not contend that all employees at the LCSO are racially profiling or discriminating against fellow employees on the basis of their race or ethnicity, but some are. Having worked there for a year and a half I know firsthand that most of the deputies are honorable public servants. There are a select few, however, that don’t uphold the oath of their office. Sadly, rather than addressing these facts, you have chosen to use your subordinates in an attempt to confuse the issue. I had nothing to gain by going public other than trying to end, once and for all, the disparate treatment of the minorities in Lake County. I stand by my statements made on Channel 7’s news program and remain defiant of attempts to sully my reputation and intimidate me for reporting misconduct.

Wow the Mitchell supporters are under seige great comments, thanks Jack Baxter for the support. The Lande piece was a great one and really smacks Mitchell between the eyes as well. Lande by the way as an update did a great Job in Santa Cruz and was then recruited by the federal government for a position. Another great deputy lost to the Mitchell regime and lost to our county. How many good deputies have we lost with this knucklehead of a sheriff. What a shame. Vote Rivero in November!!!
